this makes for a good prank if you put hydrogen peroxide in the toilet bowl and sodium iodide in the tank and wait for someone to flush :P use a liter of the h2o2 and a generous ammount of KI and you got a foamy angry/confused/smelly roommate :P

There is no such thing as Potassium iodine. That implies that the iodine is not an ion; that the overall charge will not be neutral. It's gotta be potassium iodide, since the iodine part is negative ions.
