all these serious comments, this line made me piss my pants laughing when I heard it the first time "surprised you didn't know that",,,,,best line in all of battlestar
He ain't rolling no blunt. Christ, kids today don't even know about hand-made smokes. Pure, dried tobbacco and a piece of paper - way stronger than that bullshit they market as "cigarettes".
@FrozenHeart05 I call BS. Every town has a hipster section. Go there and witness a bunch of people rolling their own cigarettes. Get out quick before they see you. They don't shower.
I like this quote because he's telling the chief something not only what they were on New Caprica, but what they were in the fleet in season 4. (tried to keep that spoiler free)
Typically brilliant writing for BSG. The brutal philosophy of guerrilla war summed up in a few lines. And I always thought that Tigh was the most interesting and best-acted character on the show, with only Adama, Roslyn or Baltar coming close.
I found Saul's speech quite ironic esp. when they found that they're Cylons (season 3) and revelations of what they have done in the past leading to the present (season 4).
Better yet, S03 ep.14, the epidemic among the civilians. Tigh provokes Helo to punch him, then says: "So, you do give a frak about friends and loyalty. Good, so it should be. But you know what? I give a frak too. You keep soiling Mike Roberts good name and you and I are gonna finish this. How's that sound to you?" Helo gives no reply, so Tigh chuckles and says: "You better have the doctor take a look at that hand". Wow...
Just goes to show how men re-act in the face of adversity. Astounding self insight. Does anyone know where i can find the discussion Adama has with Boomer/Athena before she goes to New Caprica about trust?
i think tigh is setting up some explosives there. based on his location (underground) and his demeanor i'd say he's doing resistance work.
this small monologue and the dialogue he has with Roslyn later in the episode are what really made me love Tigh as a character. "so take your peity, and your moralizing, and your high-minded principles and stick 'em someplace safe until you're back in your cushy chair on Colonial one; i've got a job to do." just pure undeniable 100% awesome.

That was one of the coolest and the best lines I've ever heard on TV. He has no illusions of what they are, and he shows it.

@kokoinmars He's a veteran soldier who has come to terms with what he is and what he does.

@Halo4Lyf No. What he is doing is crazy and hopeless. He has come to terms with that.

@kokoinmars The fact that the colonials made it off New Caprica proves you wrong.
Halo4Lyf 1 year ago
@Halo4Lyf Well we knew that they would, because then the TV show would end right there. But the characters didn't know that. So there...

Without a doubt, the most chilling scene in the entire series. This adds another dimension to an already complex character.
