I considered switching from IE9 many times because I though it's laggy and that it takes way to much memory, but I found out that Chrome takes more memory (and processes!) and Firefox is still more laggy.

Also the F12 Developer Tools are much better than Firebug and Chrome's Inspect Element.

The only thing that surprises me is that IE9 is very slow when opening a local .htm file stored on my hard drive :\

IE 8 and before all sucked. I HATED them because they would go so slow and freeze on me when I was in the middle of doing something. Then IE9 came out. I liked it instantly. startup was way faster than the previous ones, It has a sleek look even though it was simple and clean, and it went amazingly faster than previous versions. chrome is still better though, in my opinion, but IE9 is pretty nice. No need to hate on it :)

Like Chrome and opera, but I am one of those (VERY) few people (from looking at other comments) who likes IE. IE9 was the best web browser in my opinion. It was better than opera and Google Chrome (or Chromium, if you are on Mac or Linux). Still trying to figure out though how to install IE9 in Linux Mint or Ubuntu. Again, LOVE Internet Explorer 9!

I used Ie 9 for a while. It was wonderful and i stuck with it because of it's speed. Then it slowed down... so i stopped using it. Now i use Opera <3.

Come on Guys Give Microsoft's Internet Explorer team more credit than calling IE a bad browser. They did Make Internet Explorer 9 faster than google chrome and firefox with javascript engine and its much much faster at loading websites and its more secure with tracking protection.

I had been using chrome since this january. a flash player update came, i downloaded it and got setup on desktop on windows 7. I installed that and it made my computer totally unusable i got winload.exe error. i reinstalled it and used chrome again, it was working fine. i downloaded some data and again same problem came without any setup on desktop. I reinstalled my windows and using IE9 since i think febuary and my pc is still at same speed

Chrome became the best & even managed to pass Firefox with performance. BUT now it's become a very buggy mess, even a Core i5 machine can't run it without crashing all the time.

So now my first choice of browser is Firefox (It has fixed most of it's memory leaks now)

& my second browser is IE9, They've come a long way since IE8 :-)

Google Chrome sucks basically. Often it doesn't load any pages until I clear the cache. You never had to do that in IE. Also, a lot of pages crash in Chrome. Google Chrome is just a browser that is shit inside, but has a huge amount of "makeup" on it, so people only think it's awesome, when it's not.
