iTunes ate too much, asks WMP12 for help in sharing pics

The two extraction or unzip tools for iTunes was 7-Zip and iZarc. I use 7-Zip, both are fine to use.

As soon as i saw emeek showing the new interface i instantly thought the same, i guess he does like how ms codes things after all, of course he prob say they looked nothing a like. Itunes is out for me if i still have to install quicktime, idk maybe i'll install itunes10 in a vm to see what it's like.

I really don't see how anyone could happily used WMP. The library is sorted in onlt one way (the worst way). iTunes copied this layout, but thankfully left it as a useless option.

WMP doesn't even have it's own store layout. As far as I can tell, you can't even log into a store on it.

I was testing WMP out as I wrote this comment, besides it's obviously shit interface, it wasn't nearly as responsive as iTunes. Also when I close it I have to kill the process because it doesn't close all the way.

I don't mean to sound like I know what I'm doing, but just by looking at it, I'd bet anyone I could draw an interface design ten times better than WMP in one go. Whoever designed MWP12 obviously didn't care, and had the creativity of a cockroach.

@PoliticalHell Yeah I like for WMP to borrow some of the interface of Zune player. I really don't want them to try to make a copy of iTunes, it needs to be different. You can though download new skins for WMP, although most are a piece of crap unless you are lucky in finding a good one.

@PoliticalHell I agree WMP isn't anything beautiful too look, at much like VLC isn't much too look at either. I use WMP12 to sometimes help get cover art or watch a DVD, it does it's job. I do prefer Zune Software over everything else including iTunes. WMP12 response is nearly instant for me and when it closes, it closes completely. I personally wasn't comparing the two media players, but hey... you brought it up.

@blacksteel25 lol yeah, I know, I guess my point was that, at least as far as I know, there's no comparable alternative. I hear good things about Zune software, but I'm guessing you need a Zune to get that. Personally I've never used it so I can't say.

@PoliticalHell A Zune HD or Zune is needed only if you want to take your music with you. If you just plan to use Zune player on your desktop to listen to music, that's perfectly fine to do without needing a Zune HD. I will say that if you use like an Android phone you can still import your music using either WMP12 or other software like Doubletwist as long as you bought the music or used song credits. I don't expect everyone to love Zune player and at first I didn't.

@korwinblue Ease of access and I have most of my audio programs grouped together. I also hate going through the start menu every time I want to use it.
