It also deflects basketballs, making catapult zombies not a problem at all. But if they shoot all 20 basketballs, they start driving forwards. That catapult zombie you killed with a squash was about to explode anyway. Those aren't all the codes.

Cards? They are seed packets. You should probably make a video for beginners in the earlier levels, not on the roof. Pea plants and such work one column behind the the repeaters that you have placed. ladders on plants can be blown up by jalapenos, cherry bombs, cob cannons, etc. an umbrella leaf that deflects 7 bungee zombies is better than having to replace a winter melon.

I plant sun flowers untill zombies shov up then i use squash and continue planting sun, i do this to the first 5 or 10 zombies. i use three 15 sunflowers but only 9 on pool/fog

you, my friend, have obviously never done optimization problems in math class.

The effectiveness of a build is determined by whether or not it can kill the zombies before the zombies can start munching. This is determined by a simple formula:

Your firepower times the distance the zombies have to walk.

Since there are 10 rows, counting the one you can't plant on, the optimal build would be five rows of plants, then 5 empty space. 5x5=25. 6x4 = 24. Your repeaters at best did nothing.

@RaustBD Actually, it seemed that the repeaters were helping to deal damage significantly. If it was just the catapults alone, then he would have been swamped. Also, the game isn't that complex to a point where you need a clipboard.

A nice, original strategy. I especially liked the Repeaters on the roof. I still prefer the back-line Sunflowers, as no zombies ever reach my plants (unless I'm using a pumpkin or tall-nut based strategy), and if the damage-dealing plants are at the front, the flight time is lower, so kills are gleaned faster. Also, given that you never used the Cherry Bomb, wouldn't a Torchwood in front of your Repeaters have been more cost-effective?

Great strategy. I always just put my sunflowers in the back without really thinking much about it, but, he's right. They're so cheap and, after a while, you don't even really need them anymore. I kept pausing the video, though because I kept trying to get the sun x_x

u know.. you have wall and tall nuts for the front rows... it saves the plants AND sunflowers.. still Wall and tall nuts will be sacrificed.. but the wall nut is quite cheap too

if the sunflowers are near on the sunlight the sunflowers is fast reproducing i think in the night you use sun-shroom because the sunflower is slow reproducing if no sunlight and the sun-shroom is in the dark if the sun-shroom is no sunlight coming the sun-shroom is fast reproducing the sunflower is opposite of sun-shroom

very bad stradegy because you put sunflowers at the back and when the first zombie comes put out a wallnut to stall him by the time he is done you should have enough sunflowers out to buy peashooters and catapults... also the night levels is when you want 2 rows because no sun will fall from the sky but in the day all you need is 1 because you will have sun falling from the sky therefore i have beat the game on the pc having the zombies only win once

after watching a couple of youtube videos of this game I kept wondering why everyone puts the sunflowers in the back, I think it's ridiculous! Putting your guns in the back is way better since it will give them more attack time and if you first couple off rows or so dies then you aren't defenseless and don't have to dig stuff up. Think of it this way I've got one bullet in a gun and you destroy my bullet making machine, i'm gonna shoot you then repair the machine, not let you destroy my weapon

This was a good video, explained well. I didn't use the video strategy but I did learn something. I did not know that you could use pea shooters on the roof. I always thought that they were useless no matter what while on the roof so I used catapults only.

i would also like to mention that an umbrella leaf will protect more than 8 plants...so you should just think more.

BTW.i have a much better strategy,wich is one of the best on both survivals and normal games,and i do not need to put the sunflowers in front...that seems cheap,considering they are defenseless.i p[refer puting a tall nut with a pumpkin shield in the front.they last more.

You're terrible at this game. Why did you get a repeater for the roof? Also, you need to put the sunflowers in back because the zombies can get through them quicker that way. Also, only put pots there if you need them instead of wasting sun.

@Allanstone19 yes sunflower is the 'principal amount of sun' but it is cheaper to replace.. while the sunflower is being eating, the back row of offensive plant can still hit the zombie... but if u put the offensive plant in the front, it will be eaten and the zombie can just walk straight to the sunflower and eat it.. n theres nothing u can do about it unless u wanna dig out the sunflower and replace it with another offensive plant...

@siryuke I think it will in the first few rounds but the gameplay mechanics is different in endless mode so you will eventually lose no matter what strategy you use.
