How does being region locked make it broken? That makes it infinitely better! I'm in the US, and playing with other Americans means no lag. Well, that is, unless they have a poor connection. With the new lag compensation crap, it causes me lag. That should be fixed, as that is something that's truly moronic. Being purposely lagged by foreign assholes is something that's already been fixed, with a region lock!

I had a similar problem with Crysis 2 on the PS3, I´m from Czech Republic, PSN while supported here, it was always searching people from CZ and it took maybe ten minutes to find a match, no fix to today. And this is even worse, glad I didn´t buy the game at launch. :(

Thanks for posting this Jewro. While we do not have a region locked matchmaking system, we do have a weighted system that will prioritize your local games over the rest of the world (in order to give you better hosts and connections when you do connect) however this can sometimes hinder and impact players in small countries with fewer local games. We are looking at the best way to address this for those cases.

Why can't the matchmaking be similar to MW2 where the game would test matches basis variable ping and then if ultimately nothing is available within the 150 ms ping limit, it would put you in a match best found post 150?

Its incredibly unfair for players who reside in lower population regions to not be able to enjoy the game considering they weren't given a fair warning before hand about regionalized matchmaking before purchasing the same.

Whenever I wanna play ground war or kill confirmed, I sometimes can't, in fact, I've never hav been able to play ground war due to the fact that where I ilve, people does not play that game mode. So please, at least make an update where you put an option as regional or worldwide search.

You answer is quite useless. Better hosts are players with faster connections - there are no dedicated hosts. Give me the option to search within a certain ping level, I would rather play with 10 Mbits UK players than my next door neighbour on dial up! I like the potion "when you do connect"... quite true, more often than not I cannot even connect because no games can be found or are found but are waiting for 6 more players!

Same, and it'll be just the same for whoever lives outside of the US or UK, maybe Germany has an ok population but that's it.

TEMPORARY SOLUTION to this is to join a session in progress through a friend outside of your country and then join people from your recent players list.

Hope it helps, and it's obviously going to get fixed soon. Heard they worked on local matchmaking optimization, hope they don't fuck it up when worldwide matchmaking gets unlocked.
