Actually, I'm pretty sure that this wasn't originally made by Apple. I believe that Apple saw a fan (Nick Haley) who made his own commercial for the iPod touch and posted it on YouTube. Apple realized that his commercial was better than the ad they released during the music event, so they contacted Nick and produced this ad for TV.

Not Fair, Ipod Touch does FaceTime for free. No Data or Simcard needed. They Pay nothing. But the Iphone 4 has to Pay for the Data usage & Phone Usage. If you take your SimCard out of Phone, Face Time will not work. So Ipod Touch gets Facetime for Free.

Great ad. Really love this song. But I have to say, I'm really glad the touch improved by the time I got my 64 gb one. No offense to any early owners, but back then, the touch was the worst PDA device ever. But now it's a whole lot better with all the cool features and hardware. Plus the addition of apps and the internal speaker.

the wifi on the first and second gen touches suck so bad. When I am in a place that has like 5 wifi connections with 2-5 bars according to my laptop my second gen touch only sees 1 with 1 bar and says unable to connect to network. It works with my home wifi though which is where I'm at most anyway. I don't know how good the 3rd gen is and I hope the 4th gen gets 802.11N instead of just b/g
