@MadMorle No see that doesnt make sense, because japan didnt need them anymore, they stopped being militarized after the USA beat them in the 1900's in times of peace things are no longer practiced the same as for war, they make them wimpy techniques for sports or they eliminate the ones that are no longer modern because your attackers dont use swords or spears anymore, so theyre lost forever, theres elements of it in all japanese arts though, the name ninja is even a recent invention in history
@MadMorle well no im not trying to be rude to you my good sir, but from what i know ninjutsu was so secretive they didnt trust anyone with its deadly arts, the koga ninjas died out before teaching anyone else and theres no story of what happened to the Iga clan so several martial arts schools claim Iga clan lineage when u cant prove it at all so my judo sensei says it died out because normal arts like jujutsu and kenjutsu became forbidden so of course u cant even teach something deadly as ninja
@MadMorle I guess a lot of the 'ancient' ninjutsu has been lost but ppl like Dr. Hatsumi, still have saved enough of that knowledge to keep the art alive. Also, lot of ppl don't understand the difference between sport-MA (karate, judo) and militant-MA (ninjutsu, systema, krav maga, etc) which are constantly developing and are literally lawless. A modern ninja would probably be more skilled with guns, poisons and explosives rather than sword and shuriken.

What an amateur! If you want to determine whether a man is sleeping or not, just prick him with a needle. If he screams, you can be certain he had slept for real. Alternativly, you could run into the bedroom, hitting a big cooking pot with a metal spoon while singing!

@MadMorle No see that doesnt make sense, because japan didnt need them anymore, they stopped being militarized after the USA beat them in the 1900's in times of peace things are no longer practiced the same as for war, they make them wimpy techniques for sports or they eliminate the ones that are no longer modern because your attackers dont use swords or spears anymore, so theyre lost forever, theres elements of it in all japanese arts though, the name ninja is even a recent invention in history

@MadMorle well no im not trying to be rude to you my good sir, but from what i know ninjutsu was so secretive they didnt trust anyone with its deadly arts, the koga ninjas died out before teaching anyone else and theres no story of what happened to the Iga clan so several martial arts schools claim Iga clan lineage when u cant prove it at all so my judo sensei says it died out because normal arts like jujutsu and kenjutsu became forbidden so of course u cant even teach something deadly as ninja

@MadMorle I guess a lot of the 'ancient' ninjutsu has been lost but ppl like Dr. Hatsumi, still have saved enough of that knowledge to keep the art alive. Also, lot of ppl don't understand the difference between sport-MA (karate, judo) and militant-MA (ninjutsu, systema, krav maga, etc) which are constantly developing and are literally lawless. A modern ninja would probably be more skilled with guns, poisons and explosives rather than sword and shuriken.

I am not worried about him, but its not ok to sell this art as Ninjutsu just to make mony and rob people with no knowleg of this stuff. And its also dangerous, because the people he teaches think they can defend themseflfes and others, and if they try to, they will get crushed. Just analyzing the video, I'd say he's got some skill. That little snap trick he does to hop on his feet from a laying down position isn't easy.
Also ninjitsu is about improvising. Japanese steel was reserved for the samurai. If you dig around you can find some stories about the Koga. I wouldn't take lesson from anyone these days. Look at all the Jeet Kun Do schools and Bruce Lee disbanded the art before he died. ah
