I've watched a few of your tutorials and you ARE very talented, but you seem to have a helluva chip on your shoulder. You're abrasive and downright rude to the people who ask you simple questions. You come off a bit sadistic even, and it's sad because you have a lot to offer in terms of education to your viewers. Try being a little less defensive. It just showcases your insecurities.
@TheBerkeleyBeauty i may seem rude as to answering basic questions, that's because i am not here to train "basics", technicians should "know" the basics ...... first and foremost i recommend training, because that's what professionals do, i am not here to teach those that can't be bothered spending some money wisely on valuable training, nor to help those that want to work from their garage in an attempt to compete against those that have made the effort or commitment/dedication to get training
@nailzoo I couldn't agree more. I paid for my training as a single parent, and have worked very hard in the 13 years since then to keep learning new techniques, keep up with new products, and continue to provide the best and safest services to my clients. It kills me to see all these kids on here attempting to do what only a trained professional should be doing. Thank you Nailzoo, for your wonderful videos.
@TheBerkeleyBeauty you defnately need t get training,,., there is sooo much that can go wrong with the natural nail and the contra indications for eacjh client etc.. so i can understand why she is a lil blunt... this is not summin u can just take lightly!!! too much damaga can be caused!!!
do you have any recommendations for lifting a couple days after applying the nail forms acrylics? I've used a few different types of primer. I've lightly buffed the naked nail and tried no buffing. Watching your videos once again it seems you let the acrylic dry slightly before applying. My natural nails are very soft and pliable, especially after washing my hands or a shower. I'm wondering if this is what contributes to the lifting. Otherwise I've had great results just some bumps in the road.
@netfullofshells are you trained at all ? this is the first question i have to ask, the constant exposure to water does attribute to lifting, but regular application of cuticle oil will help also, but you have to do the nails the right way, or they will lift rgardless
nailzoo, my nailbeds are incredibly short and the typical "pink and white" look weird when newly applied; saw these form nails done by you, and now wonder if there is a way that my nailbeds can appear longer, which is the look I am wishing for; long pink, and barely there white; my local salons tell me there is no way to get this look... do the form nails stay on and strong like other acrylics?
you made this so simple!!!! :) just started out and i know this will help me sooooo much!!!!! thank you much and keep doing the great work!!! only simple minded people will say negative things because they r jealous and will never understand anything better than them!
@CinniMinni24 I agree his work is awesome and educational. Those ignorants thinking he has fungus are stupid because fungus tends to spread and his other nails look clear to me. Awesome job!!!
hey nailzoo you sure thats not some kind of fungus on your nail. It looks very yellow and thick You must come in contact with alot of hands . You must have picked up something. It's not uncommon for a manicurist to pick up something from their clients since they dont wear gloves and come in contact with their bare skin. Have a Dr check in out.
@nailzoo I didn't even notice your finger. I was to busy watching what you were doing. Had to rewatch it to see. Thanks for your videos, I find them very helpful. keep the videos coming!
hey hun gr8 video i didnt realise u were a man until i watched your other dual form vid cos you did it on urself lol, theres something sexy bout a guy doing nails lol or am i just weird? lol keep up the good work x
good job! i have bought thier free trail of the dual forms and did them for my sister. they came out well for her but when i did them for myself i ended up getting bubbles, and sometimes the acrylic cracked? but by watching u i realized what i was doing wrong lol my acrylic was to watery. thanks for posting this video! helped me out! and the dual systems is the best way to do acrylic nails no doubt! i have tried alot of them and with my prone to disaster gene, the nails i did looked realy good!
@zuzitsu89 , i got it squashed between 2 rocks when I was about 12, do you have an issue with that? Does it affect the way I do nails? I'm so pleased you are perfect ...
i love everything about the way you do nails except the filing. i don't like my nails rounded and sometimes you make them look a little more filed on one side than the other. i don't know though because i don't put acrylic on my nails, they are super long already and maybe that's the way your customers like theirs anyway.
Well, in this video you can't see it,but i've seen other video's where it happens that some of the acrylic is finding it's way out of the mould at the sides of the nails. Could that cause damage to the skin or nail condition? Or is it OK if you just take the excess of acrylic off with a tool?
I saw this vid when it was first put on youtube, i got oll of the equiptment and managed to do it! its sooo easy. i hve also added a vidoe on my page so was wondering if you think i did an okay job?
What makes this method better/easier than traditional applications. It seems more time consuming having to fit the forms and have exact acrylic "filling". I understand the high shine finish (no end buffing) but how would you rate this method vs. traditional. What are the benefits besides being a well rounded tech?
Wow this looks great, I'm kinda now teaching myself but using the traditional method but I can never get an even finish on the acrylic, it always looks so bumpy. I'm thinking of learning this way and then mastering the traditional way once I have some cute nails. Any tips for me please hun, you done a great job and I'd love to learn from a pro. :D
If it's easier to just send me a message on here I can send my email if you prefer. thanks.xxx
it's a clear form, kind of like a tip, but instead of putting the acrylic on top, you put it underneath, then pop it off, i thought the video kinda showed it all.
Hmmmmm....... I am not getting this??? Why wouldnt you just sculpt the acrylic directly onto the nail plate????? This seems to me seems very oddball, but if it works for you......
I am very interrested for this new system it s amazing!!!!perhaps you cann help me. I am from germany, and want it .how can i de ?i have try by ysnails but no answer:-(
ok thanks for that...will keep practising though..nail art potential is great fun using these forms...it is pretty decieving cus they look kinda easy...but not Ha Ha...as i found out...thanx
Maybe you can do a vid on the infill with this dual system...I been using this system for about a month but still getting probs with the acrylic moulding lipon the sidewalls...so i trimmed the form very slightly and now i get lifting from the side walls...i like the over all look but cant understand how to get round this one...even when i prep/primed the nail correct...any ideas ??
Great!! Can you do a video on the infill with these forms....I have been using these forms for about a month and i find the sidewall areas get that little acrylic lip from the moulding on the form...i tried cutting it away slightly but then lifting occurs on the sidewalls...eeergh...Any ideas??
OMG this is AWESOME!!! Now I can do my own nails without any mess..thankss a lot..

isn't there a risk of allergic reactions when the acrylic that comes underneath the nailmould touches the skin?

when does the acrylic come into contact with the skin?

Well, in this video you can't see it,but i've seen other video's where it happens that some of the acrylic is finding it's way out of the mould at the sides of the nails. Could that cause damage to the skin or nail condition? Or is it OK if you just take the excess of acrylic off with a tool?

Isn't there a risk that by touching the skin with the acrylic that comes from underneath the mould, you can get allergies faster or anything??
jvs3005 2 years ago
jvs, often there is more contact with the skin using the traditional method, contact should be avoided, but it does happen, we are all human

sounds like you may be putting to much acrylic in the form, even though it looks easy, it still takes some practise.
the lip is designed to keep the acrylic withing the form, if it "squishes" out, you are using too much. GOOD LUCK
