Great sound and, of course, beautiful voice and singing by the incomparable Gigli. His honeyed tone is perfect for this piece; but I also admire the recordings of Schipa and di Stefano. Thanks for posting!

It's my feeling that making a video recording directly from an acoustic horn yields brighter and "fuller sound" than taking the music from a processed CD. It must be confessed that were I to make this video again, I'd use either a medium or soft-tone stylus. I'm having a problem locating medium-tone needles...and my 75-year-old stock is just about gone.
