Luckily the enterprise was trapped in a time reveser or somthing so it restarted time after they exploded and everything was ok. Great episode too. Except the fact they did the same thing over and over again.
you know Riker was right when said decompress the main shuttle bay the explosive reaction will knock the enterprise out of the way so it wouldn't be collision with the another ship, I glad that Data follow Riker's advice at the end of this episode. Riker is the bestest crew member that bestest suggestion in the episode.
I gotta say for the technology that they had available at time coupled with the time constraints they did a very good job with visual effects it still holds up today for the most part
What is it with you people? It's a TV show and there is something that is called "suspension of disbelief". This is not broken in this case because I am willing to bet no-one commented something when first watched the episode. Sure, here where we see a scene taken from the rest of the episode and we can rewind the scene again and again suspension of disbelief is broken. But not originally.
Whine about those cases that suspension of disbelief is broken when first seeing a movie/TV episode. Like when something entirely outrageous happens or when a fictional law is broken withing the same fictional setting.
Uhhh. thats from the original star trek annddd yet i'd like to see the full episode bye chance? go on to MY omments and please tell me what episode this is.
@joe89nufc It takes less than 5 and a half seconds to press the starfleet insignia and scream "HEEEEELP, man down". Unless you expected that in this case a formal report would be given.
I think that it is within the "suspension of disbelief" that all of these reports are processed by the ship's computer.
@TheLonleyWolf370 I think your thinking of the episode "Yesterday's Enterprise", where Picard gives the line, "Let's make sure that history never forgets the name, Enterprise".

@Victorpughenry the starboard exploded first when the other ship collided. If you notice there is no second explosion of the starboard nacelle.

Why did the port, not the starboard, nacelle explode first?
Victorpughenry 8 months ago
@TheUnseenDude
Believe it or not, it is the correct word, it refers to the orientation of the vessel.

How could anyone send off a casualty report within seconds of the collision?

@pasinurminen2233 Ship's computer monitors all lifesigns aboard the vessel

@depholade Exactly..

What if TNG's series finale was this scene?

@hulkspythons Then the Borg would have assimilated Earth in First Contact without any time travel.
