  • 1:05,is the first time i see start a engine with one crank.

    Thx bombreguy .

  • This is a Blenheim Mk V being flown by one of the RAF squadrons unlucky enough to operate it in 1943 during the Tunisian campaign - hence the shorts.

  • Looks like you had to have mountain climbing experience to get into it.

  • My modest opinion : This bomber is not a Blenheim, its cabin is very longer and artillery position is most ahead than the british Blenheim , This plane is a australian Bolingbroke designed and built in Australia based in Blenheim and made with several england components .Is a propandist false Film. forgive my poor english. I am a spanish talking. The engines also are not british but US Writhgt or Prat&Witney.

  • who the hell flies in shorts?

  • @Putaspellonyou footballers?

  • @Putaspellonyou manly men

  • I spoke with a WW2 vet this weekend who flew '24's against German Uboats. His plane caught a U-boat off Spain in '44, and attacked with depth charges. The U-boat had some friends in the air as escort who shot at the '24. The crew, fearing the bullets of the Messerschmidt's hitting their depth charges, dropped everything, and sunk the U-Boat, while they got shot down by the German fighters. Odd way to make a kill, but a damned good story.

  • @divisioneight How ironic. I'm a Viet Nam Vet and those WWII guys really had it rough. For that matter, anybody that serves in combat has it rough. There is a special on Cable and Satellite called "Wartorn " about veterans who server during the Civil War thru the current war in Iraq. It discusses the effects of PTSD war on soldiers. A must see. Semper Fi..

  • @speedofc: Many thanks for your kind reply and many, many thanks for serving our country overseas in Vietnam, surely one of the darkest episodes in our national history, for want of courage over here to do "the right thing" in victory and defeat.

  • @copferthat Yeah, and when are they going to get around to fixing the roof on the Parthenon?

  • In the final scene (not available in this video) you can see the pilot getting married with the gunman...

  • @copferthat

Sir Alec Issigonis, was of Greek origin, and he invented the Mini, an icon of a car which pioneered a lot of the modern thinking of compact cars.

  • @copferthat

kebab is not Greek, it's either Persian or of Arabic origin.

The greeks did invent a lot of maths, science, philosophy, tactics of war and art too. Truth to be told the Greeks did get a lot of their knowledge from the Egyptians, Persians, Sumerians and other great civilizations before the Greeks. For instance the Egyptians knew about Pythagoras triangle before Pythagoras himself.

Rome, took over the lead, then others.

  • Seems like Malaya.

For the defence of Singapore Blenheims were used.

  • Simulated, yes, but it gives again a glimpse of what Allied service men went through for our freedom, so that we have the freedom to download all kind of movies on the net and have the freedom to share thoughts about it. Thank you Bomberguy !!! for sharing even this "not great stuff". It is sure a "shame to waste it"!

  • these days we can indeed realise what game what this WWII stuff.

Money, money, money, the gave of controlling the world, with democracy flavor

  • "we can indeed realise what game what this WWII stuff"

Eat a dick, you pathetic communist faggot.

There hasn't been an important thought come out of that shitty little country of yours for about 2000 years.

You're a perfect example of why the Golden Age of Greece is long, long past.

  • In real life there isn't any of this music; just loud raucous exhaust and prop-wash. Also the screams and gurgling of drowning dying men all while Americans were drinking Coca-Cola floats.

  • The U.K. and U.S. fought and died for a giant myth. The elites loved Hitler until he extricated Germany out from under the London banking mafia. Germany's financial sovereignty was what they loathed, not his political posturing. Hitler didn't want war with the U.K. but, he wasn't afraid to fight for Germany's sovereignty.

It took the entire world to put Germany back under the thumb of the Rothschilds. I'm sure they appreciate the millions who who died to restore their power over Europe.

  • Even the protestant ministers cheered Hitler in the beginning! Hitler came in the midst of economic collapse preaching "change" sound familiar? Who would believe that P.Bush and H.Ford helped finance Hitler! It was a power play by American NWO bankers trying to break the Rothschild power over Europe! This is the last hurrah, it is the midnight hour, the churches are all asleep while the world is entertained by the media , the Illuminati picked their pockets!

  • Amazing vid . btw watch 1 of my vids: torpedo Blenheims attacking German convoy .. fimed from German ship

  • The British National Party has reported on their web site that WW II veterans still living today have said that the situation in Britain today is not what they were fighting for back in those days. They were not bargaining for a third World invasion of their country or for the extreme draconian liberal anti-White laws that they now have to live with. Europe has basically been turned into a Communist prison camp with the goal of destroying the White race. The U.S. will be next.

  • Utter rot! What do you know about the UK to post this sort of poisonous crap?

  • Too much I am afraid. I am sure glad I don't live there.

  • well you are right to a point but i dont think its a anti white campaign

  • well he is not far from the truth iam no black hater but we do have to many people here that we dont need

  • @MrBEB123

Biggeest load of bullshit anyone has ever expressed., anywhere, at any time.

  • @MrBEB123 oh well, if the BNP have said it, it must be true.

That would be the same BNP that used a Polish Spitfire in their "Battle of Britain" anti-immigration campaign poster. Top skills.

  • MrBEB123 is right. Old WW2 vets say the same thing about the U.S. today.

Do we have the courage to admit that millions of armed forces men and women died in vain? Upon their crushed bodies stand the global bankers, reigning over the ruins. Over the mass graves of free whites will rise the terrible edifice of the New World Order.

There is absolutely NO WORK being done by 3rd world immigrants that is worth the societal disruption. Better to let the work go undone than to pollute one's nest

  • @InfiniteMushroom Hi, I'm too sure about the immigration stuff (from my perspective anyway) but the rest of what you have written I think is very good and I'm in total agreement with :o)

  • @addernoir01 Above post should read 'not too sure' rather than 'too sure'. You prob figured that out though :o)

  • @MrBEB123 The WW ll vets and dead in the UK fought the BNP's spiritual forefathers to the death in WW ll

  • Comment removed

  • They all look much the same but it could even be a British "A" class of about 1946. (I had a Triang model of one)

  • Pictures of the crew are all taken on the ground.

  • Menteur !!

  • I feel sorry for the guy loading the bombs using his back. I hope he got Doan's pills & Ben-Bay ointment as part of his rations.

  • @MrPloopy Dont worry that Bomb was Empty,I think No one would give those Beach Bombing Guys real weapons.....

  • @tassoss1 ^^

  • @MrPloopy: It was Bengay, not Ben-Bay!

  • Thanks! Gremlins must've gotten into my keyboard!!! (Actually, I was typing in the dark & was tired.) Ben-Gay is right - from Dr. Bengue' who developed the formula for the ointment.

  • its Greece not Greese shows you education level

and turkey would be the one who would attack

look germany now what have they won by allieing with turkey? only defeat and millions of turks in germany

  • it seems to be a T class british submarine or a P31-like 700/900tons

  • sitting ducks to the axis fighters , the crews new it too ! very brave men ! not many survived a tour of duty

  • Composer John Addison

  • Music = "Reach for the Sky" 1956 movie

  • My dad (RAF Bomb. Com 37-46) was WOP/AG Blenheims 62 Squadron (Malaya). There's photo of him, plane and squadron on RAF History Squadrons site.He did lot of recon. photography. There was still camera in place when his pilot (his best mate), observer and replacement gunner took off in search of Japs.Shot down by friendly fire. The Gunner managed to eject - God knows how the camera would have been in the way!Dad continued recon work in unmarked Blenheims&Dakotas behind Jap lines.2 low for 'chutes.

  • The music is the soundtrack from the Douglas Bader film with Kenneth more.

  • very elegant aircraft blenheim.british aircrafts from end of 30's have beatiful design

  • The soundtrack would indicate it's from the film series "Victory at Sea"

  • No, not Victory at Sea, but similar from Austrailia. A patriotic short using some staged film worked around actual war footage. This type was shown in movie theaters (along with the newsreels and the feature films) to increase war production, enlistment, and the purchase of war bonds. I remember this type of film well from my youth. What memories to be left with !!!

  • Using the forst inborn radar, Blenheins wiped out the night bombers of nazi Germany between 1940 and 1941.

  • Anyone any idea what is being passed to the gunner before take off? I don't think it's a spare Browning barrel.

  • It looks like two spare barrels if you watch closely.

  • Those are spare barrels alright. Good eye.

  • did u all know that the germans also udsed blenheim during the war in finland, these planes was sold to finland "suomi" in the 30s also a number of other english planes was used by the germnas and the finnish like hurricane some seaplnes and divebombers unbeliveble rigth. a hurricane with svasticas during the war.

  • Wrong. The Finns used Blenheims, not Germans. Finns even built most of the Blenheims used there. And the swastika that was the FAF emblem those days, was not the same, as the German swastika. Finns used swastikas in FAF-planes since the beginning of the century, it was the personal emblem on Swedish count Von Rosen, who donated the first aeroplane to Finnish army in 1918 with a swastika painted in it.

  • The Finns even flew air raid on Leningrad during the winter war 1939.

  • @burgcochem Air raids on Leningrad by Finns??? During the Winter War 1939

  • @teniootti werent blenheims allies planes though infact i know they were.. can u explain this at all? Some early or pre war lend lease or somehting?

  • Whats even weirder is that Britain almost supported Finland against Russia therefor Allieing itself with Finland who was Allied with Germany.

  • Not really, when Britain was considering supporting Finland agianst Russia, Russia still had a non-aggression treaty with Germany. It was only after Germany invaded Russia in 1941 that Finland allied its self with Germany.

  • During the winter war many western nations supported finland against russia, at the time finland was allied to no one and russia was allied to the germans. Its not as odd as you first think. It wasn't until the continuation war that finland became an ally of germany and we supported russia.

  • What I would like to know is...If Russia attacked Turkey from behind...Would Greese help??

  • greece and turkish airforce go head to head almost daily, they kow each others names. they both fly the F16 then when off work they fly real time simulations aganist each other on line.. i dont think you could keep the greek airforce out of the conflict even if they were ordered out.

  • interesting question! Seeing as they're both NATO countries, i think Greece is obligated to help, as is the rest of NATO, but its an interesting question nonetheless!

  • I dont get you? Now why do Russia want to ass attack a Turkey? Aren't there anymore Russian girlsleft in Russia?

I think Greece would apply some greese on the ass of the Turkey so as to help Russia for a smooth back penetration.

  • I like your answer. Obviously my question is a joke and so far you are the only on who gets it. You have a good sense of humor.

  • @speedofc no, they would still be at the beach.

  • @speedofc Turkey would enjoy that and give them both a "gobble".

  • @speedofc No.

  • Finland wasn't allied with Germany in 1939.

  • perfect shoot!

  • Nice video!

  • I like the way the pilots using the controls at 1:51.... Looks like he's on a pedal bike. lol

  • Thanks for posting. They rebuilt one to flying condition some years ago at Duxford, Cambridgeshire. Unfortunatley after a few flights iit crashed.

  • @auglendsveien Fret not thoguh they built another one straight afterwards :o)

  • great!

  • You sure wouldn't want to point that 1/4 totally open turret into the wind! I didn't know they were made so simply.

  • They were cutting edge when they first flew - the RAF had only just introduced their first fighter with a fully enclosed cockpit (and even that was a biplane). These were the days when if aircrew were a bit cold, they had to put on another lawyer of underwear.

  • Thanks, one of my favourite bombers. Such a beaut!

  • GREAT early film on WW2...thanks for posting!!!

  • In reality most video was staged back then. Cameras only had a minute worth of film. So it took time to put these together.

  • yes very staged, being so old worthy of the posting.

  • Yep.. definitely looks staged. I am not even sure this is a Japanese sub. Looks vaguely like an I58-B3 ... but not much. Fun to have just the same though

  • Keep 'em coming, Bomberguy!

  • Nicely put together, ty.

  • Sad, but... Well, what does one can hope of a war aircraft !

    Rod
