  • I remember this trailer like yesterday! I was 9 at the time. I saw this teaser when I went to see the movie "Home Alone 2".

  • This is pure cinematic magic !

  • the 3 people that dont like this are probably donald gennaro, eddie carr, and robert burke...then again, they were eaten, no way they can get on youtube from rexes stomach

  • Great teaser too bad the movie wasnt quite as epic. Great fx but not enough tourists and too much of a kid focus. "Veggiesaurus Lex! Its a veggiesaurus!" Die you kid. Just die. No I dont want to watch you eating jello-I want to see you get eaten. Sam Neill was given more to do in part 3 and I liked the ending of part 2 better when the baby dino eats the bad guy. But each movie had those damn kids! Doug McClure didnt need kids when he was facing dinosaurs.

  • @CarlClaus7777 the movie was perfect shut up

  • @CarlClaus7777 what's with the kid-hating? YOU were a kid once. and did you even READ the books? there were kids in BOTH. and you can't say "well they weren't annoying in the books", Lex whined throughout the whole book. and too much of a kid focus? yea, i suppose that's why it got a pg-THIRTEEN rating and why little kids came out of the theater crying.

  • In a way man still lives with dinosaurs, if you want to count alligators and other species that evolved during that period. Least I think they did, I'm not expert.

  • This movie is great but the novel is ten times better.

  • This film inspired some of the greatest films in the 21st century.

  • Fucking damn American creationists....went to stick this on Facebook, has been damn marked as spam by those ignorant jesus freaks!!

  • @mattrutland we're not all Jesus freaks. they just happen to be an unforunate majority here. and, yes, they are annoying as hell.

  • AWESOME TEASER!! Original footage for the purpose of building suspense and interest. This reminds me a bit of the first STAR TREK (2009) teaser which was just footage of the Enterprise being constructed in the ship yard. AWESOME.

  • 3 people were ate by the raptors

  • # people were ate by raptors :0

  • Since dino's were Reptiles, they also were a bit Amphibious but most DNA was there, so... Why am i explaining this.... But most DNA was there so to fill in with a little amphibian doesnt matter... But youd think they'd use lizard DNA...

  • True fact, im a JP expert, to fill in the DNA gaps, they used amphibian DNA

  • This video has been added to your Favorites.

  • Dr. Alan Grant: "It looks like 3 people doesnt like jurassic park"

Dr. Ian Malcolm: "Don't you mean extinct? "

  • Cool I've never seen this!

  • Hello Ladies and Gentle men, it would appear that Alien Slave is taking over Youtube, We received a......SIGNAL! Check out his new teaser.

  • Genius Film by a Genius Writer. They both changed my life when I was a teen.

  • I especially like the ending with sounds from the (galopasaurus, i think they were called). It was a nice touch.

  • remember watching HOUSESITTER" ,with steve martin and the trailer was on the vhs beforehand..at the end with the roar and the jp logo i just went whatttt..i was 12 the perfect age to be for the release of the best monster / dino summer blockbuster ever..when i saw that trailer if i was only to know what was to follow the year after..what can only be described as DINOMANIA...SOMETHING I DONT THINK A GENERATION OF CHILDREN WILL EVER BE LUCKY ENOUGH TO SEE AGAIN , i was just glad i was one of them

  • @LizzyS186, I as well, It was a sort of dinosaur saturation that bled out from jurassic park and really influenced alot of people in a way that modern media has kind of denied people. it was all like "Hey, you seen this jurassic park thing yet" word of mouth, now its all net and twitters lol

  • "Kind of cool". That is an understatement my friend :)

  • So they went from discovering the mosquitos in 1990 to having fully-grown dinosaurs by 1993? Man, Hammond's bio-nerds sure do work fast, don't they?

  • @Thoralmir dinosaurs are reptiles and have you seen how fast they can grow? take snakes for instance a burmese python can grow from baby to about 8-10ft in the first year.

  • @xenotooth And how long would it take for it to gro four stories tall? And BTW, I was making a sarcastic JOKE... You know what? I'm tired of trying to explain cheeky humor to people on Youtube. Good Night.

  • @Thoralmir Well recently Ive studied about DNA and genetics in school, I was lucky to see this movie in class, The first time I saw it, when I was little I saw Jurassic Park 3 which was dumb cause I have no idea how they got there. Some of this movie I fact the rest is fiction. Even if you found a miskito with DNA of dinosaurs, it is almost im possible to clone them.

  • @321ACTION1000 No offense but it's called SCI-FI, that stands for Science Fiction.

  • @WeylandYutaniInc91 I know what sci-fi is and what it means I was just stating the obvious of what I learned bout DNA.

  • @321ACTION1000 So, the Velociraptors are historically wrong, Raptors are only like 3 feet tall, in this they are like 6-8 feet tall. Don't take all the fun out of movies.

Again, no offense, I'm not trying to start a fight here, I'm just saying.

  • @WeylandYutaniInc91 I appriciate that thank you.

  • @321ACTION1000 BTW, I watched JP again, if you remember to clone the dinosaurs they filled in the gene sequence caps with frog DNA.

  • @WeylandYutaniInc91 I know they did that, but You can't get a Dinosaur from mixing DNA with another species or youll get a mutation. For example a Crock-A-saurous.

  • @321ACTION1000 No DUH! The best we can do is tamper with chicken genes to get a raptor-chicken hybrid. I is possible, they've created a chicken with teeth and claws already.

  • Coolest

  • It's really cool

  • I realized at about 0:45 that i recalled this trailer at the farthest reaches of my memory. Very cool!

  • Never saw the Teaser to Jurassic Park, I can only imagine the suspence people felt from watching this.

  • Oh man, I remember the fucking buzz surrounding this movie back in 1993! It as an awesome cinema experience!

  • Jurassic Park is masterpiece, one of the greatest movies ever made. Visual Effects were brilliant, the storyline was unique and the acting was great. Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Ariana Richards and Joseph Mazzello were stunning. Too bad they don't make such movies anymore.

    I miss old good 90's.

  • that si great !!!!!

  • no comon people...u cant remake this perfect classic...the actors are pure originals...u cant find any actors like them!...ive been watching jurassic park since i was 4! xD u cant change something that has been inspired by the hearts of millions of people who got to experience this movie ever since it came out

  • we want Jurassic Park 4

  • @TheAdam1995 theyre already making one, itll be out 2010/11

  • Who thinks a Jurassic Park remake could work? I love Speilberg's take on the book, but I really want to see what Ridely Scott could do with the license. A remake could be a better movie (since it could be more like the book, have new science, and since CGI isn't so distracting anymore more emphasis could be placed on moral arguements) even though it wouldn't have the same impact as the original for obvious reasons.

  • i agree my friend, but not now, would be better if we wait much more i think. The plot could be closer to the book thanks to the new special effects and would be really interesting.

  • WIth the newer animatronic technology used in Walking With Dinosaurs and a sparing mix of CGI a remake would be very good dinosaur wise. But I'd expect the story to be respectfully handled which is only possible if it's a made for TV mini series more loyal to the book. That way it could be kept more fresh and different from the original.

  • @FunkyFrank10 I don't agree at all. Karate Kid was a great classic and now its being done into a crappy remake. you cant make something better thats already perfect.

  • It's true, the conveyer belt approach is not friendly to remakes. There's no need to try and outdo something that was far superior even with it's limitations. In that sense remaking Jurassic Park(as a feature film at least) is overall unnecessary as the original is already brilliant. Same with Jaws which would quite frankly be the worst target for a remake EVER. If it's not broken don't fix it.

  • nahhh i probaly wouldnt dude

1.its too big of a project

    2.not old inof

3.its only fro steve and jhons hands

4.you cant remake a movie that was in the top 10 most grossing movies of all time.

  • @FunkyFrank10

I kind of agree. Of course Spielberg's '93 classic was awesome, and the effects were un-precedented; however, if a remake were to be made, I'd want it to be as close to the novel as possible, since Jurassic Park is my favorite book :D

  • I loved Jurassic Park since my childhood!

This teaser trailer is just a taste of something that is about to become a legacy since the book was written.

  • Holy shit what a trailer,

  • i saw this after i saw the movie it was on the House Sitter video , it was such a great movie

  • many people may not think so, but i think this is one of the best movies ever made!

  • yeah, many people do think so! consider the impact this film had on society, interest in dinosaurs peaked like never before, this film and its next generation FX inspired peter jackson to make king kong, whose right he didnt get so he made LOTR!!! it also showed lucas that his own ILM could fullfill his dreams of finally making star wars trilogy the way it should have been!

  • it also changed the option of dinosaurs from big dumb lizards into scary fast intelligent beasts

  • I think it was too, because it was the first movie to actually make realistic dinosaurs. Plus they had to pay a lot of money for it to actually make it good. Although I like the book better, this is one of my favourite films.

  • @mooveefreak I wholeheartedly agree with you, it also brings many of us in our generation so many nostalgic memories. Plus, this movie changed the way movies are made to this day.

  • @mooveefreak Agreed, definitely one the most important & the epitome of what summer movies should be, yes, great fun action/adventure but also well thought of, acted and imaginative, unlike "Transformers" & just recently 'The Expendibles'

  • @vasko28 expendables sucks transformers is pritty good i think

  • @without question

  • @mooveefreak Who doesn't think so, he/she deserves to be eaten by a T-Rex! :D

  • @mooveefreak 3 people dont think its the best

but they are in the stomach of a Trex so screw them.

This is a master piece on so many levels it will go down in cinema history.

  • @mooveefreak I totally agree with you without any doubts!

  • for a three year old at that time, that trailer was scary.

  • yeah, i saw this trailer on a VHS Live Action Version Of The Flintstones, So Technincally It Was Suposed To Be A Happy Video, Then This Appeared, Scary LOL

  • this was shown before teenage mutant ninja turtles 3, back in early spring of 1993. i had completely forgotten about this trailer until now. i remember seeing it as a kid and thinking "how lame. jurassic what?"

  • I remember this trailer's music gave me the creeps as a kid.

  • Anyone know the origin of the music used in this trailer?

  • best trailer

  • wow! Ive never seen this before! im happy

  • i always thought the teasers were better than the actual trailers :D

  • likewise. Teasers don't tell you the entire plot.

  • That's the whole point of the teaser trailer. To simply tell you that the movie's coming while giving little to no information about the plot.

  • That's why it's a good teaser. Trailers these days show you too much. The T2 teaser was also excellent. Showed no footage except for Arnold saying "I'll be back". These 2 are my favorite teasers

  • The teaser for Alien takes some beating, too. That eerie music and the egg cracking-open!

  • i remember seeing this in the cinema when i was 11 and i instantly shat.

  • That particular Prop piece of amber, I think was at the top of John Hammond's cane in the movie

  • nice

  • good:D

  • I remember seein this trailer on Tommorow's World of all places, and it totally flipping my shit!!

  • this trailer itself is a really good example of how the sequels and spinoffs to jurassic park have lost their spirit of wonder and magic & serious science fiction edge... if you used this teaser alone as a basis to set the tone of the next one, you'd come as close as you could to recapturing that.. look at the JP2 & 3 trailers, they just look like they're for dumb horror action movies if it weren't for what they were based on, and that's what they were

  • BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!

  • yeah¡¡¡ brother ,,, ¡¡¡ thanks¡¡¡

  • yes¡¡¡

  • I remember seeing this teaser trailer when it was in theatres and I was 11.

It is definitely etched in my memory as one of the most impactful trailers I have ever seen, and this is the first time I have seen it in all these years.

It is also one of the only cool teaser trailers etched in to my memory that was actually followed by a classic film. Godzilla, The Phantom Menace had equally great teasers, but were disappointing movies.

I hope The Dark Knight teaser lives up to the promise.

  • Yeah, ever notice how the teasers that give the least amount of info away are usually for the movies that turn out to actually be able to back up the hype?

  • Indeed, other good examples are the Terminator 2 teaser, which I would argue is the BEST teaser ever made, Men In Black, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and the now infamous Spiderman teaser featuring the Twin Towers.

Every single one followed by an entertaining or classic movie.

  • just checked out the T2 trailer, good call..

  • Never saw this trailer, but like it. My favorite film ever!

  • i know thats sooo wierd i was so young and i loved dinosaurs because of the original land before time....

then i saw this and i peed myself at teh theater.... i was 4

that rex scene scared the bejesus out of me

  • Yeah, I went to see it in the theater too. Unfortunatly we had to leave because I was scared and crying. That's what I remember...

  • With my parents.

  • Cool. I always really liked Jurassic Park.

  • The Narrator sounds like the one on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

  • If u all like jurassic park do a shearch for jurassic park island getawy it is sooooooooo funny

  • Never seen this before, pretty cool.

  • i was at the first showing first day. the most incredible cinema experience of my life! sadly people will never get to look on cgi with fresh eyes again!

  • I remember seeing this in the theater when I was 3.

  • i was 8 wen this badboy was released

  • You were 3, and they let you in to see the movie?

  • Okay, the amber has become a comic stereotype of Jurassic Park, and that's why you think it sucks... but your opinions wouldn't have been influenced by this stereotype before the movie attained classic status. So true, its sense of wonder and excitement is outdated, but try to understand in 1993 terms.

  • But, for being 1993 when this film was released it was top notch, and in some cases this movie has better special effects than some movies now days

  • lmfao

  • Interesting, never seen this before- i love the faint sound of the Rex's roar as the camera moves into the mosquito's eyeball at 1:13

  • worst teaser ever

  • worst troll ever!

  • In Michael Chriton's original novel Jurassic Park they did not use amber. Instead they used preserved bones with preserved D.N.A. they found in various tar pits.

  • Actually in the novel they did primarily use amber because they couldn't get the needed amount of DNA from bones.

  • Oh yeah. But I do remember they used D.N.A. from both sources.

  • what tar pits?? where did that come from lol naw they used amber because the guy from the goverment that sees Grant says they bought Dominican Amber mines and he has no idea why

  • I wish they included this on the DVD

  • This teaser trailer is somewhat cheesy, with the comical, childlike music and editing.

  • first is 1993, second is 1997, third is 2001, end of story, if you dont believe me, go to JPL.

  • explain this more dont get it

  • The first discover was made during the Spring of 1990, finally proof that the "Jurassic Park takes place in 1989 despite the fact that the vehicles are from 1993" fans are wrong.

  • Wouldn't that mean that the events of Jurassic Park take place AFTER the discovery in the spring of 1990? That could mean anytime from that point in 1990 to 1993. Also, alot of the techonology used in the film (high quality multimedia CD-ROM, Apple's design aesthete of the time) just wasn't around in 1989.

  • Yes, but still, the book and a little video game called "Trespasser" said that JP took place in 1989, this proves them wrong.

  • Somewhat: the book recalls the August 1989 diaster of Jurrasic Park. The film adaptation, however, takes place sometime after the spring of 1990. So, while the book itself takes place in 1989, the film takes place in the latter portion of the early 90s. :)

  • They needed time to make multiple species, notice "First discovery" so they needed to make them, clone them, grow them and prepare the park for the dinosaurs. So it probably takes place between 92-93, I'm leaning towards 93 myself.

  • Yeah, probably spring/summer of the film's version of 1993, because most of the characters were in shorts and assorted warm weather apparel.
