N truly believed that what he was doing was right, whereas Ghetsis knew that when everyone released their Pokemon, willingly or otherwise, he would be the ONLY one in Unova with Pokemon. He never specified if his underlings would have Pokemon, only himself.
Team Glalctic were the closest ones to actually gain their goals. If not for Giratina taking Cyrus into the Distortion World in Platinum, he might have succeeded in warping the universe to his image. He had all three Lake Sprites AND Palkia and Dialga under his command due to the Red Chain. If Giratina didn't warp out of the Distortion World to drag Cyrus into it, he might just have succeeded. Besides N, Cyrus is my favorite villainous boss, since he was determined to gain his goals regardless.

I mean, They Killed People, They Killed Pokemon (Remember Marowak in R/B/Y), They Got Mewtwo, The Controlled Moltres, They Took over Goldenrod City, They Planted a Bomb in The Cerulean Gym in G/S/C, They took over The Pokemon Tower, They Took over Silph. Co, They Worked at the Mansion on Cinnabar Island (But Burned down because of Mewtwo), They took over Saffaron City, They Stole Things, They Took over the Radio tower.

One of the grunts in N's castle claimed that the reason why Team Rocket and Team Galactic were defeated is because their actions drew a lot of unwanted attention to themselves, so Plasma figured if they acted like "heroes", their operations are likely to go smoothly.

imo Magma/Aqua > Plasma > Rocket > Galactic. Rocket is meh and Galactic has a good three seconds and then it's shit. Magma/Aqua just has so much going on in it and my only complaint is that there isn't any executive music and the themes are the same for both teams. I like Plasma's theme, but it's not my favorite.
Also Rocket is a lot better in the anime than in the games. Look past Jessie and James. Attila, Hun, Domino, and the Iron Masked Marauder are all BAMFs.
@masterbeef5329 The only down side to Team Galactic are the Grunts. They have no idea what they're really fighting for, which makes them that much less believable. The Galactic Admins are a different story and get a lot more background than other Admins that came before them (Tabitha, etc). At least, before Archer, Ariana, etc got their own identities.

Present in 2 generations, in one generation their leader was a gym leader who took over a large corporation and ran a couple of businesses as cover, in the other the followers hijacked and built numerous things (I.e. radio tower and created the base under Mahogany Town), and in both generations they were LEGITIMATELY CRIMINALS doing criminal things (not having a 'greater goal' in mind for corrupted organization points) and not needing Legendary Pokemon to do so.
Team Rocket; the ONLY Villainious team that actually killed a Pokémon. And also, the ONLY Team that didn't try to awaken, capture, misuse, abuse or even simply just use a Legendary Pokémon for their own purposes.
@LightningBlazing Giovanni actually had the scientist guy from Pokemon the First Movie create Mewtwo in exchange for funding the entire cloning operation, which involved the guy trying to clone his dead granddaughter back to life, which happened in the Origins of Mewtwo short. And he did use Mewtwo for a while. But Team Rocket is still unique in that aspect, rather than awakening a legendary Pokemon, they MADE THEIR OWN. Pretty awesome >:D

Team Galactic, something about them is just so awesome. Their motives are a bit different from ruling the world. Instead they want to create a new world, sorta like Plasma, and use legendaries to do this, like Magma and Aqua. They also seem to be incredibly well financed, like Team Rocket. Bottom line is, they're pretty twisted and awesome at the same time.
Team Magma has the most memorable theme. nostalgia major whenever i hear it. i remember just sitting there on the move selection screen just listening to the music <3 but admittedly, Plasma's theme was the most fun to listen to right away. it really didnt have to "grow on you" lol you just love it the instant it plays that first time, and it becomes an instant addiction lol but still, Magma is the most nostalic. though, Emerald being my favorite (it really was the best) may make me biased lol

@outrage55ify i agree, but of course we all know about the ds space limits when it comes to huge games, for example, if they were going to make a gta map as large as the xbox 360/ps3 for the ds, then the character would have to look so horrible with short story and equipments and stuff like that.

1. Team Galactic (the only truly bad and cruel team + their outfits look great)
2. Team Rocket (not using legendaries)
3. Team Aqua (their goal makes more sense than Magmas + outfits symbolize sea)
4. Team Plasma (weird goal and they are hippocryte, good outfits and music though)

Team Rocket wins, why? Present in 2 generations, in one generation their leader was a gym leader who took over a large corporation and ran a couple of businesses as cover, in the other the followers hijacked and built numerous things (I.e. radio tower and created the base under Mahogany Town), and in both generations they were LEGITIMATELY CRIMINALS doing criminal things (not having a 'greater goal' in mind for corrupted organization points) and not needing Legendary Pokemon to do so.

@LightningBlazing Giovanni actually had the scientist guy from Pokemon the First Movie create Mewtwo in exchange for funding the entire cloning operation, which involved the guy trying to clone his dead granddaughter back to life, which happened in the Origins of Mewtwo short. And he did use Mewtwo for a while. But Team Rocket is still unique in that aspect, rather than awakening a legendary Pokemon, they MADE THEIR OWN. Pretty awesome >:D

Team Galactic, something about them is just so awesome. Their motives are a bit different from ruling the world. Instead they want to create a new world, sorta like Plasma, and use legendaries to do this, like Magma and Aqua. They also seem to be incredibly well financed, like Team Rocket. Bottom line is, they're pretty twisted and awesome at the same time.

Team Magma has the most memorable theme. nostalgia major whenever i hear it. i remember just sitting there on the move selection screen just listening to the music <3 but admittedly, Plasma's theme was the most fun to listen to right away. it really didnt have to "grow on you" lol you just love it the instant it plays that first time, and it becomes an instant addiction lol but still, Magma is the most nostalic. though, Emerald being my favorite (it really was the best) may make me biased lol

@outrage55ify i agree, but of course we all know about the ds space limits when it comes to huge games, for example, if they were going to make a gta map as large as the xbox 360/ps3 for the ds, then the character would have to look so horrible with short story and equipments and stuff like that.
