  • How I love this tune! Sweet memories of Whitfriday in Mossley, Lancashire. The biggest dance craze ever must be 'The Floral Dance' played after the band competition!

  • Radio Veronica tune!

  • A great brass band, and B+R are a great band, brings a unique mix os musicianship and pure feelgood factor. I love them. Great vid this. Thanks.

  • I've loved brass bands ever since I used to listen to a programme with my grandfacther back in the 50s & 60s on BBC radio, can anyone remember what it was called?

  • @nilgen12,alot of respect for you keeping your dads cornet on display, how proud would he be.

  • @dksoseg 2011 National Champions !!

  • I hate to say it, but their not that good today, nowhere near really to be honest.

  • @dksoseg Based on what? Their newest records are still top notch.

  • Was it really 1977? Where have all those years gone???????????????

  • Absolutely fantastic! I am taking particular notice of the drummer. Can anyone imagine Ringo Starr being able to play the drums like that? He was hopeless. As John Lennon once said: "He isn't even the best drummer in The Beatles!

  • Superb stuff , love owt like this me!

  • Nostalgia...I'm Flemish, my dad used to play the cornet in local Brass Band that had a great connection with Derek Broadbent, the conductor of Brighhouse & Rastrick in the 1970's when the Floral Dance was a huge hit. I was lucky enough to witness B & R win the British Championships in the Royal Albert Hall in 1980. My dad passed away 5 years ago...His cornet sits proudly on a shelf in my living room...Memories...

  • They arent trying to copy the uniforms from brassed off that is the colour of brighouse and rastrick brass band uniform

  • Jesus Christ, is that a young Stephen Fry playing sop?!

  • brilliant sop playing

  • great video :-)

(nothing like the brassed off uniforms though really, except that they're purple and worn by a brass band!)

  • @fishyvix Why would they be meant to resemble the Brassed Off uniform?

  • reminds me im british great

  • Tremendous-no other word for this!

  • i play cornet and so want to learn this

  • Truely great, and a very English sound! The uniforms they are wearing are near identical to those worn in the film brassed off.

  • I love this band, their music is so good!

  • Is that Tony Blair conducting?

  • Plays flugal like a good un,rest in peace Pete postletwaite for the amazing brassed off.

  • dus je wil gaan kijken naar de fanfares ja, maar alleen op zaterdag, So jy wil die marching bands te kyk, ja, maar net op Saterdag, Så du ønsker at se marchorkestre, ja, men kun om lørdagen Also Sie sehen wollen, Marching Bands, ja, aber nur am Samstag 所以,你要看到,樂隊,是的,但只在星期六

  • ay lad, bloody good bit of music, only thing missing is t' pit

  • I am still looking for my ex-trombone teacher in there. Alas, I cannot see him.

  • the flugal's in a funny place

  • was almost the first title I´ve heard 20 years ago about "British Brass Bands".

    GREAT !!

  • Bravo Bravo

  • whos the conductor?

  • When i become principal in my band, I'm gonna grow a beard like that!

  • proper brass band, only wish there were more of them these days

  • THIS IS AWESOME!!!!

  • De Vaandeldrager van Dingetje!

  • The things that made this album special were the choice of material and the engineering and production which was much more upfront than most brass band records where they mike up the band like an orchestra. This had much more separation and deliberate placement of the instruments in the stereo pan plus that very vivid processing.

  • Brighouse is a dump it's self & has the most evil School in the UK

  • @acctim100 Which one?????
