Muhammed is a GREAT guitarist for sure, but i still prefer james Murphy's solos (Death, Cancer, Obituary, Disincarnate etc). I think he shreds better whereas Muhammed relys more on sweeps to sound fast, which is cool n all, but James Murphy is just in another dimension.

Just my opinion. Necrophagist is still awesome as fuck tho!!

Thats a matter of opinion tho my good sir and my opinion is that I like James Murphy's solos better. I also think he is a better song writer too to be honest. Disincarnate's "dreams of the carrion kind" owns Necrophagist in my opinion. It also owns anything Chuck wrote in death with the possible exception of "Human".

Disincarnate's only album il admit is quite an amazing piece of classic death metal but its not better than either Necrophagist album let alone i can't believe youd dare say its better than such death metal founding albums like, Scream Bloody Gore, Leprosy, Symbolic, The Sound Of Perserverance. No, it's a fact that Studioforce (as they should be called) sucks. The guitarists included. They play at 1/4 speed in studio then speed the instrumental tracks up, and then can't even play the songs live, even though they take a slower tempo. And the singer can't hold a pitch and his voice often cracks when he attempts to make a note too powerful. Plus every one of their songs is in the same key and uses the same chord progressions. Necrophagist completely owns them.

Why don't YOU try actually comparing Studioforce's live material to that of Necrophagist, Atheist, Nevermore, etc. Try their performance at Grasspop a few years ago, I saw the live version of Valley of the Damned and it was absolutely TERRIBLE, along with every other live video of them I've ever seen. And their songs all DO use the same concepts, why not try actually learning about music?

They use only a few keys, recycle chord progressions for pretty much every song, and they screw up because of a lot more than jumping or drinking (I've seen live videos of them, and they weren't doing any sort of jumping around on ANY of them). Sam Totman especially sucks; try watching their "bet you can't play this" video, he's horrible and Herman isn't all that great either, though he at least is decent. It's true that their fans make it a lot easier to hate Dragonforce, but they still suck.

I like both Necrophagist and Dragonforce, and I've seen them both live. They both played amazingly well. The only reason DF gets so much criticism is cause they had a few shows in 2006/7 where they got really drunk and played horribly. I just saw them last November, and it was one of the best concerts I've been to.

Also, you can't really compare Necrophagist and Dragonforce, as they are two different genres. One is Tech Death, and the other is Power Metal.
