When you take the removable ear buds off is there a number on top of the hard plastic bit of the earphone itself or not?

The fact of the matter is, if you payed <£20 for them online, they're probably fake. Hate to break it to you. And there are a load of fake ones on Play.com (the marketplace section). I bought mine from Amazon (not a reseller/marketplace seller)

@appledocq Buy from an official retailer. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I've just heard a load of stories about people buying cheap CX300s from eBay/Amazon resellers and them being fake.

I am agree, the cable is rigid like a normal cable. They don't look like really genuine Sennheiser Cx300 II. Sorry to tell you :-(

I actually dont think there is a genuine cx 500 anymore so Im going for the cx 300s which i ordered off play an hour ago

To be honest Jack, it looks like the headphone jack problem takes some force to take out and also the feet problem happens with most in ear headphones (in my experience). Anyway, i just ordered some ^.^ Hopefully better than Skullcandy.

ive owned near enough every ear/head phone skullcandy have to offer, and besides them looking the shit, they are infact shit.

sennheiser are infinitely better (Y)
