  • If anyone has this vinyl, please post. Thanks!

  • @PlanTonto I have a copy on vinyl.

  • @MrLiamHenderson Post it, baby!

  • I dont need acid for this song to make me cry. Its so moving. . .

  • love all the comments.. I LOVE this album "profoundly" the wheat fields and acid and all that hit home.. I work in "spa" today I was doing a massage in a spa, this song came on and I wept... so much "FEELING" evoked... the gal getting the massage was so deeply touched by her massage.. thank all of you.. and thanks Eno

  • I am huge Eno fan and have been since '74. But the sad thing about Eno - he never realized why people loved TTM and AGW so much and why they were so great. It is the "suggestion" and freedom in them - suggested harmonics, rhythms, lyrics, thoughts, ideas, feelings, induced in the listener. All of this comes through the listeners "intention" (see Merleau-Ponty) not through some half-interested accidental hearing of "ambient" atmospheric sounds. A tragedy Eno never realized this . . .

  • @kierk58 What's TTM and AGW? Trying to figure out what you're saying.

  • I remember the night I heard this. My father happened to play it on the stereo. I stood with my head resting on a doorframe, weeping in a way brought forth only by music like this.

  • This is my favorite album to Brian Eno. However, my favorite song is An Ending (Ascent), It always has been my favorite song.

  • I also believe this is in a 12-tone scale.

  • @Kirke182 nope. straight up 7-note diatonic Ionian mode. twelve tone stuff, atonal or 'tone rows', is much darker or chaotic sounding, as a rule

  • @jamesedwardtheobald The first song I ever wrote in 12-tone back in '79 sounded very much like this unintentionally and I got the scale out of a book on how to compose in 12-tone. Possibly Eno read the same book.

  • @jamesedwardtheobald Yeah, and I invented Post-It's. ;)

  • Back in the day, I used to trip on acid and listen to this really early in the morning when the fog would roll across the fields.

  • @Kirke182 why dont you anymore?

  • @Kirke182 I heard this song on acid too, and made me cry

  • @Kirke182 the fields weren't real nor was the fog.

  • This song reminds me to the Sunshine sountrack by John Murphy.

  • I dont get this ambient music thing..but i like this

  • @Quippen Then you get "this ambient music thing"...

  • I'm at a loss for words...just love it...

    Thanks for another great album...
