This song is so true and beautiful, though also pretty sad if you think about how the people thanked them for all the help. Bad baseless rumors was the least harmful, if it came really bad they where drowned or burnt.. How can people be so cruel against people who wanted nothing but help them ? @MrRichardQED Those events are not Christianity's fault, they are the fault of people who used the Bible as a weapon. I'm not Christian (really), but I don't think any religion is bad at heart (except maybe Satanism, but that's largely been blown out of proportion). Jesus legitimately believed that he was helping people, and that in order to help people, they had to believe in him. Now that might not have been true, but that's what makes Christianity different from Taoism and Buddhism.

People have twisted the teachings of a good man into a weapon that they use against people they don't like. But it's really a 50/50 thing. Christians can be the nicest people or the most hateful. I'm not. I'm a Solitary Eclectic Wiccan witch. British Traditional Witchcraft is a religion, but that is not the only type of witchcraft. Witches of old did not have a Goddess, and so witches of the modern age do not need one either. Ancient witches followed the Anglo-Saxon or Celtic religions with many gods and goddesses. A witch practices witchcraft, and you CAN practice witchcraft as a Christian. I didn't say that WITCHES honor both a Goddess and a God, but that all WICCANS do.

Witchcraft is not a religion. Witchcraft is a magical practice that can be incorporated into ANY religion including Christianity. I'm pretty sure Christian witches generally deny the existance of a Goddess entirely. You do not NEED the Goddess to practices witchcraft. As for Wiccans, ALL of us honor the God alongside the Goddess. Without the duality, it is not Wicca. Now, I assume you mean British Traditional Witchcraft, but that's ONE form of witchcraft, and does not represent the whole.

Witchcraft is a practice of magic and only magic. they have no morals, as in the fact that they follow no code or rede. as for Wiccans, we follow a specific law and we do not NEED to use magic. we simply can if we choose to.

Well, in Anglo-Saxon days, witches could be male or female. They even had a term for male witches in Old English- wicca (pronounced weetchah). So, it is not JUST a woman's inheritance. It was the patriarchal Christian fear of powerful women that gave us the image of only female witches and that they were evil. Furthermore, not all witches believe in the Goddess. That's Wiccans, not witches, and we have a God as well as a Goddess.
