I knew a girl like Taylor in high school, no one liked her and I was actually friends with her out of pity at first but then I really liked her and right now she's the only one of my old high school friends who I'm still friends with since graduation.
well, if you're looking at it from the "coming of age" angle, which The O.C. was meant to portray...Taylor had more growth as a person in one year than Marissa had in the 3 we saw her. Which in turn, even with Marissa's billions of problems, made Taylor, to me...a more interesting character

Are you joking? WTF you think Taylor was a more interesting character than Marissa?! Marissa made the whole show what it was..awesome. She provided all the drama and the beauty! Taylor was bland, boring and psycho.
In this scene, everything that Taylor said about Marissa was dead on, even though she was being a bitch about it. I know lots of people liked Marissa so I'm not going to dump on her. I (keyword) just think that Taylor had more growth as a person in the series than Marissa. Heck, so did Summer. Marissa's drama, I just wasn't interested in. How her nonsense affected her friends sure, but her personally, not so much. I felt personally invested in Taylor's character and how her actions affected her.
@cieraangel I agree. Marissa was this show's "victim" character which a lot of teen dramas were infamous for kind of like Kelly on 90210, Peyton on OTH and Joey on Dawson's Creek.
I tend to always love the bitches in tv, reality or other wise, maybe because I can relate to them I don't know but I've always loved Taylor, and alot of it has to do with the actress
