Wow! What an amazing performance!! It sent chills down my spine!! One thing I noticed, though, that was quite odd, was that no one in the audience was moving! People were just sitting there, I think I only saw one hand raised! With a performance as moving as that I figured people would be out of their seats, dancing, having their arms raised, and praising the Lord. It just seemed a bit strange to me.

I believe this was the opening of the Colour Conference and it was done as an item that leads into worship. Hence the 'showy' nature. It's a combination of live/media/music etc that sets an amazing tone and it just sends chills down my spine.

To all those on the issue of "Is the showy aspect of this necessary?" ... No its not necessary, but why should necessity be an issue? ... These guys believe in extravagant worship. The woman who poured the purfume over Jesus could have just told Him she loved Him, but she went and bought an ultra expensive purfume and gave Him the lot to show Him... that was not a necesity, but it was extravagant and thats cool if thats how she wanted to go about it. Same for these guys with their lights etc.

This was such a powerful openening it opened my heart to bursting with love for God. I understand the comments with the lights and all and although this is my church all, it's just the way we do things and some churches do things very differently and even very traditionally of which I love and value too however our church does it this way and may all styles draw the lost to the love and heart of God.

oh yeh, i was so in the choir! haha. but yeh, its just a tiny little clip from the upcoming album (in production). the live version wont sound much like this but its still pretty sick. and as far as darlenes voice being overpowering, all it is is someone at a really big, really expensive desk moving a nob higher than the other vocalists... pretty simple. not much technique involved...

Okay, honestly, I never thought that Darlene had such a strong voice. When she sings, you can no longer hear Heather's voice. Mrs. Zschech's vocal technique is just amazing!! And I've watched to Heather's version and it's really good too. She has a beautiful voice as well.
