This was epic. Last September was not really a big deal in Christchurch because of the distance.

This has NOTHING to do with the affairs of men, including the ANZUS treaty. New Zealand is also blessed by being far distant from any aggressor, so in the event of World War III among the major northern hemisphere powers, it would be an outpost of civilization.
