  • Nice job, keep it up!

  • @JohnnyAppleTv and just by walking!! héhé

  • Great job Kid! You sound great! You put your cymbal anyway you want, and keep playing because you LOVE IT, don't listen to any of the naysayers or people saying mean things. Just ignore them and keep playing no matter what. YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!

  • Hey. Not bad for only playing 2 years. You put your China cymbal any way round you want!! Ignore ignorant pricks who think their way of doing something is the only way!

  • all this negative talk to this kid's video is only gonna do ONE THING. teach him how to be an asshole to others when he's older. THANKS FUCKERS, you make the world a nightmare.

  • i done that shit when i first started out, its not tricky, its simple

  • Are you guys seriously hating? Uhm i'm pretty sure that you weren't playing this well at this age. You were probably wondering if you were gay or not.

  • Overall the video is a piece of shit but your snare sounds nice.

  • what double bass pedal are you using?

  • guys, hes a kid. stop posting that stupid shit about his drumming! i think hes just practicing! it if he keeps on practicing he will be a good drummer! he has potencial and his footwork ist not bad! ok, its not tricky but he plays it good!

  • not bad but I would take some lessons from a real good teacher.

  • I agree with mullen, I think this kid is a great player for his age, AND most of all he's just jamming...what it's all about. A lot of people like to think this is a talent contest or who has the coolest kit...its not about that.

  • im not a drummer, but its a little bit sloppy sometimes. its cool, but a bit sloppy

  • Does your band has a keyboard player already?

  • dude i actually liked the 2nd beat..mean

  • "tricky" ? lol

  • Dont listen to all the noobs hating on you bro keep it up! You're amazing ESPECIALLY for your age. They're just jealous because they couldn't play like this @ your age. Keep it UP! YOU ROCK!

  • Dude, for his age he's pretty good. wait until he's an adult, He'll be blasting all our faces off. Fuck the haters bro, keep it up.

  • 0:45 theres a burp. And only muscularish good drummers go no sleeves by the way

  • one word...FAIL!

  • @Eddie147741 Dude..whats with the hate...he's 12... when you were 12 you were suckin your dads dick and playin with your sisters barbies

  • @DistortedBrain no,u are not right, i was licking your mothers pussy and playing with 3 bands... by the way,it tastes delicious ;)

  • @Eddie147741 The only thing you played with in bands is everyone's dicks, faggot.

  • @DistortedBrain yeah, and your fathers dick was the BEST!

  • @Eddie147741 go get summm.

  • NICEeEeEe! Keep up the good work dude!

  • Fuck everyone right in their dry and over-fucked assholes. This kid is pretty fuckin' good for his age, so everyone can fuck off. PS, for all you "non-haters" remember: Don't feed the trolls.

  • he's probably better then half of you cocksuckers . Arguing about a 12 year old ... fucking douchebags

  • You're all saying that he sucks and that it's not tricky.

    But stop and think.

He's 12. Even says so in the description.

For his age, that's really good.

And for him, that might be some tricky beats.

  • this is awful. 1234 click before everything your about to suck at.

  • thats not tricky its just a kid with a double bass pedal

  • Damn why is everybody hatin. Im a drummer and this kid is good

  • @MrJjfranklin2 we hate on him because acts all up himself, not a very drummery way to go about things

  • @lea0060 He's just showin his skills. Yea they need a little tuning but let him show out

  • Even Dave Lombardo,Chris Adlers,Mike Portnoy,Danney Carey started out as newbies like this kid. They werent born drumming geniuses.

  • you need a new snare head!

  • Who the hell taught you??? Kick with the cymbol bro.

  • Bad Drumkit, snare and ride sounds shite!

  • omg,there are lots of 14 y old haters

  • awesome kid

  • @jondrumming: the kid is twelve you douche.

  • you guys are sad...this is a kid...you guys are freaks bitching about him...grow up.

  • I have that same paiste china

  • shit

  • your 12? :S

  • sucks

  • well... to be true... its not that hard to do what u did... and u had some mistakes.

its not that tricky drumming as u think...

but on the other side , ur realy young!!!

and im telling u... when i was 12 years old i just started learning drums and it took me some time to be at your level...

i guess that when ull be 14-15 u will be a very good metal drummer :)

  • this is not tricky at all

  • I like it - dude u are 12....

U have minor errors, u will loose them in time and I bet u will be a much better drummer then the 114 people who disliked this.. Keep it up.

  • Why do people stand up for uploaders on youtube? We can give our criticism if we want to.

    This is just awful.

  • As bad as this is... I do really like the sound of the snare, but probably sounds dreadful in person!

  • Not bad. Just clean up your footwork a little.

  • this is so easy....its not even tricky...the time signatures sound like 4/4

  • 0:46 haha

  • Good shit dude!! keep it up learn alil more bout tuning u will be sick dude!!

  • He's 12! That's actually really sad that your criticizing him I bet you don't even play drums.

  • @jondrumming and Mullenfreek ....why dont u both suck a dick and leave the kid alone , who made you a fucking authority on percussion ? lame crack heads !!

  • Leave the kid alone , at least he's trying ! did all the Dave Weckl's and Vinnie Colaiuta's start like him ? yes they did .....

or would you prefer the kid was sniffing glue and robbing you're granny's ..stupid fucking lame comments by idioys who probably cant play for shit..........keep up the good work kid .

  • hey kid

fuck all these loosers who took a snare class in high-school and think drumming ( music in general) is all about steadfast rules. Double bass blah blah blah. Dont let anyone tell you what NOT to do. These one-time drum corps dolts that seem to be everywhere here really ought to stick to their single drums and the standard boring old 42 rudiments ( that i assure you you could have down in about a week. Ive been drumming for 8 years and learned them all in two days).

    KEEP ROCKIN

  • i was doing this crap when i was your age 10 years ago

  • bonham could play those bass beats with no legs...

  • Damn wal-mart drums!

  • Doublebasskid1 is going places! Its so sad to see all the negativity here. So much jealousy...... Good luck brotha and post more stuff!

  • who the hell gives a damn how he does it, the kids good! all that matters is that it sounds good!!! Good job it sounds great!!1

  • I think that double pedal should only be used when the the single pedal is very well trained! But anyone that starts drumming already starts with double pedal

  • you guys are a bunch of haters. Now hold tight while i double bass you in the nuts.

  • ur doing great! u've only been at it for 2 years and ur this good:)

  • @jtdrummerboy just stop double bassing like that ._. its good but play less, and dont do it bursts all the way. speed isnt everythng, especially if its short and repetitive. do 16ths on it more, or straight 32nds, use single bass more, etc.

  • triky?

  • get good before u post crap.

  • this blows xD thats all really EASY HAHAHA

  • He is a little kid. He is doing great. Get some self esteem you jerks!

  • burp at 0:46 lol

  • not that hard!

  • give the kid a break, at least he's practicing.

  • you are really good for 12 years.

make your own thing...don t care what the others say

    you are GREAT!

  • thts not tricky....thts freestyle !!!!

  • At :30 do I hear some Faded Line by LOG?

  • thats the problem with all YOUTUBE drum video, its nothing but kids showing off their low end drum kits to other kids who think its cool. But this kid is playing. And hes having fun. Even wearing headphones. good for him. Rock On!

  • @DisasterBlaster2 not headphones ear plugs there is a differnce.

  • wow the dude holding the cam burped

  • simple beatsw and fils

  • Thats just galloping its not tricky

  • tricky for a 4 year old girl maybe?

  • i dont know if its that tricky but umm ye....

  • not bad for a twelve year old

  • u sure ur in a band :|

  • keep practicing. work on tempo. listen to many great drummers, clean your bass strokes up, work on grove patterns, and don't try to play wickedly complex stuff until you get the basics down first, kid.

  • Wow. This really is the worst shit i've ever seen.

  • this sucks ass

  • @Mullenfreek come on hes 12 at least hes trying

  • dude work on making your double bass more even and clean

    but good playing

  • Feet arent all, I think more important are hands..

  • Ur ok its just the double bass.

  • ehh for two years, id say thats kinda basic?

  • i thought this was impressive already, but the fact that this guys only been playing for 2 years? thats incredible, just imagine where he'll be 5 years

  • so far so good young man ;)

  • your on your way man sounds good clean it up a little bit and you got some quality

  • shut up craper1234567890 lik foron314sttim3 it wether not u can play good, have u ever seend street drummers just bc the use lik pots and bowls doesnt mean there not good and most of them r awsome,.... u probably sux so shut up. and great job ur awesome

  • Great job man! Rock on and dont let anyone else tell you otherwise!

  • dude your a great drummer =D

You will definitly improve if you listen to more then one type of music...try some Incubus, I prefer "The Warmth".

You should try that beat sometime, good luck with your practice and the band.

  • Your spelling is shit. The art of drumming isnt about the quality of your drums.

A few things for doublebasskid1 (poster of the video)

    1. You might want to hold your sticks a little higher and keep your sticks a little closer to the heads

    2. Stay away from the double pedal. Its bad news. Unless you are incredibly comfortable with one pedal I wouldnt suggest two kicks.

    3. Practice, practice, practice. Specifically hand speed. Buddy Rich dwarfs all "death metal drummers" and he used one kick

  • craper1234567890@

Noob Its not spelt Symbals its spelt Cymbals learn to spell.

  • haha! you ned to learn how to spell too! it's spelled, not spelt! EPIC FAIL!

  • and you need to learn how to spell need EPIC FAIL!! dumb ass.

  • what the fuck are you talking about you cunt? EPIC FAIL. Only one way to spell it faggot!

  • @jellyboy123 feeling cool?

  • you're well on your way.

  • is realy like you kik the drum set down from the stairs.... i like it lol

  • i really dont like you kid, how the fuck is that tricky drumming?

  • u suck

i feel bad for your "band"

  • your double pedal has a hick up i.e. it sounds like your doing a flam with your pedal instead of steady hits

  • get a haircut

  • i think you should spend more time developing you hand technique then focus on double bass later

  • @wagglemonkeythnks haha i kjust got my double bass and i cant play o it? plz can i haha :) ive been playin for 6 months with out it :( cmon haha :)

  • Good Job keep rockin!! I do very much agree with the posts about double pedals becoming a central point in drumming for beginners. I love double bass as much as the next guy, but too many drummers rely on double bass as a crutch for poor hand technique.

  • not exactly tricky drumming. i must say, you are not bad for 12 years old, but the double bass pedal is the central point of your drumming, and thats not a good habit to get into.

  • hey man don't pay attention to the negative comments! Im sure when these guys were twelve they weren't any better. The best advice I could give is start with straight eight notes on each foot ( like eight on a hand). This will build your sense of timing and strengthen your left foot to be as strong as your right. Next I would work on your basic groove. The fast stuff is cool and all but a drummer that can't groove wont get any work. Check out some of my videos and keep rockin my friend!

  • i'm way better than this kid. check my stuff out

  • it definately sounds really cool but i think it's mostly cause of your double pedal (which isn't very fast btw) and your snares xD or the audio is just not that great, anyways i don't think this is THAT tricky but it still sounds great so 3.5/5 stars for me xD

  • Yeah it's not tricky. Just kinda off-beat. For your level, yeah it may be tricky, which is fine.

    ...and nice burp.

  • i like your snare

  • i wish i could have started this young. keep up the drumming. although you should work on your form and timing to avoid habits when you get older. and dont listen to the comments about double bass is for lazy people, there are advanced double bass techniques that are used generally in metal. it is also good to start with your double bass pretty early because otherwise your right foot can get significantly stronger than your left...which isnt easy to overcome, takes time

  • yeh exactly thats what my problem is i have been playin for 3 and half years and started double bass 2 year ago but i have only just started using it properly nd my right leg is pretty fast but left can t keep up hasnt alot of power and tires out really quick its a bitch and is gunna take me a year of full on practice to strengthen it up

  • No 1 Gives a shit about your gay life story :O

  • not really tricky, just kinda off-beat. I like doing those kinds of beats sometimes.

BTW you dont really need to use double bass for alot of the stuff you were doing, put a little effort into heel Toe and when you get it down on both feet you double bass will be insane.

I've only been playing drums for about a year(im 13) and the first time a played double bass i was doing heel toe on both feet, and it makes fast double bass alot easier for me.

  • thats not so triky and i know thoes are joey jordisons symbes

  • haha kid im sorry to say you just really made an embarrasment oouter yourself i know these are definatly not the cymbals joey uses, these are budget cymbals for beginners these are PST"S and i am not really a slipknot fan... and corect me if im wrong jordisonson uses a signature series alpha cymbals?... the only similarity between the cymbals is brand being paiste....

  • Well of course he's using a double pedal it shows it in the video

  • What's wrong with a double pedal?

    Lol.

  • u should be able to do things with a single pedal before you use a double its for lazy people

  • I wouldn't necessarily agree with that.

There are advanced double pedal techniques that

are completely unachievable on a single pedal.

But I do understand where you're coming from.

That's how I learned: with single pedal first.

  • i ment if your going to use doubles or tripples than use a single pedal as fast as u can before u use a double and do it faster yer a death metal roll is basically impossible on a single pedal but before you get lazy and just use a double try it on a sinlge

  • You're absolutely right. I hate seeing beginners using their shiny new double pedals (that their parents probably bought for them because they didn't know any better) for EVERY little thing. A simple double stroke does by no means whatsoever require a double pedal... If you need a double pedal for a double or triplet, you're doing something wrong...

  • @jondrumming Totally, but common, when you get that double bass, you are excited. You want to be the next Jon Karel Or Chris Adler. When I got my double bass, I used it for everything, if not only to get my left leg equal to me right in terms of strength and wrap my head about my left leg being used for something much more complex than a hi-hat. It's not that I can't play triplets or doubles on one pedal, it's just another part of training.

  • @jondrumming i agree i had to play single for my whole life i just got my double a month ago

  • @jondrumming

aahhhhh, he's just a kid, don't worry about it.

It's the adults who insist on playing metal that are the worry ;-)

  • @jondrumming ... So you're saying, basically, even if you have an easy way to do a pattern, do it the hard(er) way or you're a noob? What's wrong with using your resources? It's good to know heel toe and all, and swivel is awesome. But.. What's wrong with using your pedals..?

  • @Aulptraum That's exactly what I'm saying. Nothing's wrong with using your resources... but if you're not ready to make the jump to a double pedal (which this kid wasn't), you should stick to a single.

  • @jondrumming I bet your parents never supported you and that you're a sad, lonely bastard

  • @jondrumming i agree with u a hundred percent on what you say about the pedals and even tohugh its realy not good to get dependent on double pedals when yer a beginner you gota admit a flam with the feet sounds way beter than a normal double haha

  • @jondrumming I think you might be a little jealous......

  • not to tricky tho, but still=)

  • just bcuz this kid said his drummings tricky everyones raggin on him, ok everyone just fuckin pretend he didnt write that in his title and rate him then fuckin faggs

  • ...Ease up, the lot of you! This kid is 12 years old.. I'm pretty sure that he plays drums a shit load better than the majority of you -.- !!! Yeah, alright, technique isn't all there.. and single pedal is where you should start - for at least 2/3 years.. then move onto simple double bass stuff. None the less - this kid is good, I look forward to seeing him on stage playing some intense beats in 5/6 years time.

  • your double bass playing sounds bad it's not tricky and your set sucks -.-

  • your double bass is all wrong, sorry dude, solid playing other wise

  • hahahah you play the china cymbal soooo funny XD

  • it looks like it way to tigh or hes jus not hittin it hard enuf

  • nice dude! im trying to learn how to do double bass :)

  • tricky????'

  • thats not that tricky

  • nice job... i hhave th same china btw

  • do you like it? i plan on getting it

  • you keep goin out of time pretty easily and i honestly think that maybe you should go back to single pedal for the mean time, maybe build up your co-ordination first and then bring in the double kick. also, loosen up the wingnut on your china or get some thinner felts to let it loose and get the best out of it for all the money you paid.

  • Your'e Paiste PST3 China sounds like shit!

  • I just noticed that the guys only 12, sorry for being harsh but youtubes full of drummers in their 20's who arent as good as this guy! Keep playing as much as you can, keep it basic till its 2nd nature then try more complex stuff. Good work though, master the basics and youll find this kind of playing much easier.

  • Thats kicking all over the place. He needs alot more practice, hes no where near tight enough to be considered a decent drummer.

  • u should loosen your china

  • Very very nice for your age, just practice your accuracy a bit more. You obviously got a load of talent, so work on your technique more to let it shine ;)

  • Keep on playing, learning and having fun, kid! Don't pay any attention to all these pathetic loosers that are trying to put you down. Take some leasons, take them seriously, practice a lot, but never, ever stop HAVING FUN!

  • Quit.

  • oh hey i forgot to mention that the way you are playing your china now is actually the inverted way of playing it. in other words, the way you had it before with the edges raised toward you was the correct way to set it. most drummers, including myself, play it the way you have it set in the video. but there is no right way to set a china.

  • hey man you need to keep practicing and work a little more on your fundamentals. i know you already know, but youre a little off. before you wanna throw so much into a beat, make sure you can play it all smoothly. id say break it down to the main lick that youre playing and dont play any fills until youve got it down perfectly. then start playing fills. you should probably also learn some rudiments. dont listen to the 13 y/o morons who are giving you crap. youre doing good. keep it up.

  • idiot.

  • man....i hate people who try to get fame by insulting other people.

even if you CAN do better...at least give this guy some pointers like kauaokane..
