I don't like Home Of The Brave album - too funky and jazzy. Radar's about the only decent thing on it. Strange Angels was a mild improvement, but it wasn't until 1994's brilliant and spooky Bright Red that I started getting interested in her again.
@GuildfordGhost that's cos i'm an old bugger, i was 14 and just getting into music when o superman became a hit. though i do think most of the tracks on the home of the brave video are wonderfully performed, the home of the brave album itself i would describe as her most jazzy/funky pop affair, much of it produced by nile rodgers i recall. i recommend listening to big science, mister heartbreak and bright red albums. cheers
@chrisnoaro1 You've only got three years on me! I got into BIG SCIENCE through David Jensen playing loads of tracks from it on Radio One. I agree this material is too funky, but I do like the background info and the interviews.
Watching Laurie makes me sad because it reminds me how horribly the world sucks these days.
