  • please keep taro away from that dog because if they get caught in a fight the border collie wont last long enough for you to stop the fight :( please!!! nay tosa is capable of killing any other dog , you should inform somebody about the dog

  • why arent you reporting the owners?

  • Border Collies a super intelligent breed and incredibly active, needing both mental and physical stimulation daily; what a crime to keep this poor soul in such horribly confined and cruel conditions. Shame on the owner. No dog deserves this. This dog must be unhappy beyond the limits of endurance. Nice that the person who filmed this is so kind to her dogs, what a difference; I hope the owner of the poor border collie watches this and has some kind of a heart or conscience.

  • HOW ON EARTH DID YOU GET THAT ENGLISH BULLDOG OUTSIDE FOR MORE THAN FIVE SECONDS. My sister's bulldog takes one step on cold snow or dew and she huddles up onto the porch and will not stand to walk in the cold.

  • @MissusMockingbird she doesn't have the best cold tolerance, but she's ok outside for a short time, a bit longer if i dress her up in her coat and boots :) On the other hand, she absolutely loves the heat and will bake herself outside all day, won't come inside. They're all a bit different when it comes to weather.

  • thats sad

  • Poor dog, no where for the dog to sit unless it gets too cold. It seems to me the dog is very lonely, they don't make bad dogs there are only bad owners.

  • of all the dogs they cud have pick they choose a border collie........

  • Comment removed

  • The owners of this dog are not city folk. Country folk seem to be among the worst dog owners. There are several dogs on my street being kept tied up like this. One of them is a Shepherd mix that used to run at large and play with my dogs. No dog deserves to be kept like that, especially in the climate we have. And it is an all too common occurrence where people get dogs that aren't suited for them.

  • Vänta lite nu... Detta är inte Mexiko... Ta 5 miljoner kakor ditt feta äckel! >:3

  • huh?

  • that is not a border collie

  • nice looking tosa dogs

  • Hi i came by your Tosa House page do you still have puppies for sale?

  • Puppies are due around June 25th/09. I've got a few people waiting, so won't know if any are available until I see how many are born.

  • Hi okay no problem . Are you planning on having any more litters after this one?

  • If I like how pups turn out, will breed Kirin (the female) one more time, but to different male. Or, breed a female pup from this litter. Won't be for another 18 months to 2 years.

  • Sounds great and congrats. I will be wating on furture litters. I will hope I will be on the next waiting list. Please keep your web page updated with any new litters you are planning have.

    thanks and good luck !

  • ps after at looking at Kirins pictures i am sure you puppies will turn out great!

  • You have them all so well trained, i thought mine were until i saw this video...how do you do it?

Dont get me wrong we don't have leadership issues and they do both listen but they would have crossed the property line anyway...THEN come back! lol

  • My dogs must think I've got eyes in the back of my head :)) I just know what they're up to, and if I see them too close to the property line, I just say "no" and they know to fall back. The collie passed away many months ago, and my dogs get along with their remaining dog who is a very old female,so I've relaxed the border. Once a week or so, we go over to say hi to her.

  • Poor dog. Do you have SPCA there?

  • There is animal control, but this way of keeping a dog is sadly legal. He died a few months ago anyway :( He had a doghouse, and was fed and watered regularly, so it is not seen as animal cruelty by the law.

  • That is sad. :( He was a good looking dog and he didn't deserve to be treated that way. I come from a country where there is no animal control at all... actually I hope that animals that live in more modern countries will have a better life. Oh well, at least this dog isn't suffering anymore. Thanks for posting this video.

  • put a .308 into his face and put him out of his misery

  • fuck you egtross. Owners responsibility. He needs to keep his dog detained. Faggot I bet you own a cat.

  • oh no i dont own a cat, check out my comments on the cute kittens on youtube somewhere. im just a heartless cunt. and yes im a faggot...are you cruising for a piece of ass?

  • this is really sad.

  • So, I wonder, is there not an organization like ASPCA, or something, that can at least speak to an owner of a dog like this? Or is that also like most things, unregulated?

In my country, you cant mistreat a dog like this or they'll come fter you if reported.

I think that cruelty to animals should be a crime.

Oh and I think we shouldnt keep animals. Dog owners are dog-jailers. (cat-owners and parakeet-owners etc, too, ofcourse...only they would not be dog-jailers,obviously.

  • Almost everywhere you go, it is ok to keep a dog in this manner. The dog has shelter, food and water. The law seems to think this is all a dog needs.

Personally, I have to disagree with you on the dog jailer comment. If my dogs didn't love me, they would have run off a long time ago. They have opportunity to do so every day.

  • Diarrhea and vomiting a lot, very stiff movement, and he's not barking. OOOOhhhh - doesn't sound AT ALL good to me. Please keep me updated about this poor dog.

  • Haven't seen the collie for the last month. The owners are a bit reclusive, I haven't run into anyone to ask about the dog. I'm quite sure he's dead.

  • This was taken at the start of winter 07. It's now June 08, and this dog has gone downhill fast. He has diarrhea and vomiting a lot, very stiff movement, and he's not barking. People who keep dogs like this, usually leave dogs out during black fly season too.

  • i would have shot that dog by now damn

  • I live in the country...north-east of Toronto (GTA). I train my pup in Tottenham and they have several dogs that are all kept very well in both home and the kennel on their grounds. I don't see any need for people to leave their dogs tied out on a chain or running free. I really don't get people.

  • I live about 30 min. north of Toronto, Canada and I own a border collie cross and a 2 yr old pure BC. My youngest is dog 2 dog fear aggressive from an attack that I have been seriously working on & he is much better. There is NO bad dog! Only BAD owners. These neighbours of yours NEED to be reported!

  • For sure this dog needs a good run every day, that alone would calm him a lot. The owners don't walk him because he pulls them around. He's not the only dog in the neighbourhood treated like this. Just so happens that this dog is right beside us. Seems to be normal for the country? Other dogs are left outside to roam the neighbourhood (for example my dogs' friend Junior). I don't really know what's worse.

  • So why don't you build a fence if your dog is likely to attack the chained animal - which by the way looks like a crossbred, not a pure border collie.

  • What does it matter what breed the dog is? I was told Border Collie, and he looks like one. Nobody has fences out here. We have deer and other wildlife to think about. We have been here 1 year and 1 month, and my boy has never crossed the line. He knows better. I never said he was LIKELY to attack, and I am always outside when my dogs are to supervise anyway. Just because he's a "fighting breed" doesn't mean he can't be controlled.

  • chain up, no walks!! why want thei have a dog for? staty in the gard? animal abuse

  • Im not a dog fighter or anything - but i know for sure your Male Tosa would kill that collie in a second or two! As im sure u know tosa's have quite a fighting history - i take my hat off to you for keeping that Tosa under control - cause i can sure as hell tell you that your dog wouldnt mind having a tussle with the collie! - im speaking from experience with my two dogs - one french mastiff and my Boerboel - they both want to take on the Rotweiler next door to us!

  • Oh, for sure he wants a piece of that Collie! He often stands and glares at the Collie, and I call to him and tell him "never mind". Just asking him to ignore the Collie, even though that dog never shuts up when we're outside.

  • I feel sorry for this dog. some people just shouldnt be allowed to have dogs. Your dogs look amazing. are you a Pro dog trainer ??

  • I'm not a trainer at all. I do spend a lot of time with my dogs so I know what they're thinking, and how to communicate with them.

  • I live in rural Canada, and MANY dogs are treated this way. These same neighbours recently adopted a female Husky cross, and her chain is even shorter. She's very old, sweet dog, and I think this winter may well be her last.

I suggested to these people, to neuter their Collie, and maybe I could take a crack at socializing him and giving him a good run with my dogs. Nothing has been done.

  • Who chains a dog up like that? This is what makes dogs mean. BAD OWNER.
