  • Fischer is the greatest chess player of all times. He would have beaten any computer or person. Such a genius will never be born again. He should get recognition by making a big statue of him in New York.

  • Fischer is the best no doubt

  • Bobby didn't have a state chess machine behing him. He didn't have computers to give him a training advantage.

Fischer is the greatest ever and, now that computers have ruined the professional game, he will always be the greatest.

  • @doobydooby223 My thoughts as well. There will always be someone better as time goes forward, due to studying those who went before and with the help of modern technology. Worst thing to happen to chess was the computer.

  • Fischer I believe is the better "player".. what I mean is showed the most imagination and with that introduced much more than Kasparov did. Kasparov's strength came from deep knowledge of openings and history. One of my favorite Einstein quotes is "imagination is more important than knowledge." So perhaps Kasparov could beat Fischer, but Kasparov could have not done it WITHOUT Fischer.

  • fischer is better than kasparov i think

  • Fischer with a C, not "Fisher" w/out

  • fischer probably was the GREATEST chess player, but morphy probably was the most TALENTED.

  • Paul Morphy is the greatest chess player in chess history.

  • at 3:31,u ask how we defend... why not f1 - e1? atacking the queen ?

  • @pikan13 That's checkmate, black wins: Qxe1#

  • You started moving pieces without saying what color Fischer was playing: too fast, too confusing.

  • bobby fisher loses a lot of pieces to get the job done. He plays weird. I guess thats genius?

  • @canadian01978 Gung-ho openings like evan's gambit in this video were very popular at the highest level until about the middle of the last century. Fischer himself played a big part in proving that the King's gambit was unsound. However even kasparov played evan's gambit from time to time, in simuls etc.

  • @canadian01978 getting the job done is all that matters

  • YES

  • okey Bobby is an idol, but this game was non tournament game was played against Fine, great player, who finished his career about in 1945 and he was 49 years old in 1963. .Bobby have played more complicated games against stronger opponents than 1963 Fine.So we cant telling him a greatest judging on this game.

  • Queen to d4 would have been the best move for black

  • @thatguywithnothing checkmate still unavoidable after Qg5+, f6, Bxf6 or Qxf6, Qxf6, and Qxf6# or Bxf6#

  • May be " Deep-Blue" would have helped to answer this immposible

    question ?! Who's the greatist !

  • wow. You put out some really great videos. Your analysis separates your videos from others.

  • wow, again a beautiful sacrifice!

  • who is fisher the white or black?

  • @33trilby the white. You can tell because the first player mentioned is the white player ie Bobby Fischer vs Rueben Fine.

  • evans gambit is my favourite, so fun to watch and play

  • God, Jesus, satan, Michael, me, Fischer. That's the order for the greatest chess players.

  • Pretty cool!

  • When fischer left the game two soviet players had a plus score against him, geller and tal. Personally i think he was afraid of a looming karpov on the horizon who was regularly beating both tal AND geller. Im NOT knocking fischer, as i'm a great fan of his style AND games, but after studying thousands of games from history's 'chess titans(morphy, bronstein, tal, capablanca, alekhine, smyslov, karpov, petrosian etc), for me kasparov is, in my opinion, the greatest of all time.

  • @TEDOVSKY Thank you for your valuable input.

  • @TEDOVSKY Like all people, Fischer was still improving his game in his 20s. He only reached his peak game around 1968-1970. His record against Tal and Geller are mostly from games previous to 1968. In Palma de Mallorca 1970 Fischer beat Geller and finished 3.5 points ahead of Geller. Kasparov has provided a decade of games after reaching his peak. Fischer only a handfull of games to compare to Kasparov. Fischer vs Addison 1970 at Palma proves to me that Fischer was the best.

  • why do people seem to be so fkn lost when they just can't decide who was the best in a particular game or sport (whatever u call it). As if it was that important to categorize every single thing. Watch the games and try to fathom the beauty instead of endlessly arguing about something which will never be resolved anyway...

  • well , Fischer got to the top then left so id give the crown to kaspy also kaspy was higher rated I think

  • For me..... In terms of overall playing level, Kasparov, without question. In terms of timeless raw genius, a lot of chess fans seem to think Paul Morphy. I'd have to agree.

  • So difficult to say who was or is the best...

  • He was an okay player

  • Morphy

  • instead of moving thequeen to take queen, could u just move the pawn attacking queen making it move?

  • Very nice! I know only the basics of chess but I could understand your explanations and how the game developed. Thanks!

  • aqain i have it paused at 2:12 correct here is E5 1st i thought Nd5 strong but is slightly premture, after knight on F6 is chased away then whites Nd5 becomes doable, thats my analysis in this pos. lets resume and see what fisher does

  • Ditto on Gary Kasparov

  • Thanks for the video, great choice of game, and it is all well explained!

  • Very good analysis!

  • Bobby Fisher is the greatest chess player of all time.
