In the top tool bar of your windows explorer menu (file, edit, etc), you should see an option for "Tools," click that and in the menu pop up, you'll see "Map Network Drive"

  • Make new video with better audio...

  • Come to Share Data (:

    Network: Donnerwolke-Fileshaing

    Password: NMBGmsrKNYpkhjkjAFEJ

  • Does Hamachi slow your download speeds at all? Slow it down the way a proxy does? Some people say that Hotspot will slow down your downloads. No one likes a slow connection speed. Everyone hates slow downloads. What's the word?

  • It seems like a nice guide, but this work if a friend of mine is trying to reach the hard drive aswell. If he's logged into my hamachi network? We have tried the guide but he cannot find my map :/

    Help? :/

  • Did you allow permissions to be shared on your personal computer, and are you both on the same hamachi network?

  • Network:Sharenet11

    Come to Share! ;)

  • Sure, you have to make sure that his folder is fully shared and has the correct privileges for all people attempting to use it.

Also, make sure you're entering the correct address/location of the folder you wish to connect to.

Let me know if you still need some more help. Sorry about the delay.

  • hi a friend and i are trying to share files through hamachi he lives on east coast i live on west... he keeps getting this message Windows

    ---------------------------

The mapped network drive could not be created because the following error has occurred: No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept.

    ---------------------------

    OK

i followed all of your steps and i have VISTA

  • It's possible that your friends computer has too many active connections or his connection limit has been set too low to allow any more connections. There is a program on the internet that will allow you to open more ports and simultaneous connections, but it's slipping my mind right now.

  • thanks man

  • what must you typ in by harddisk shared. (the right click on my computer thing)

  • What do you mean? I'm assuming you mean the share name of the hard drive? If so, then you just need to type in the name of the hard drive that you want map to your computer (assuming you've already shared it on your other computer).

  • @ThaRappa Nice tutorial! I am stuck at this point as well. Main PC (XP Pro) has shared folder mapped as a network drive. When I try to map a network drive on the 2nd PC (laptop w/ XP Home) I get that "Network path \\X.X.X.X\XXX could not be found". Any thoughts?

  • VERY AWESOME, GREATLY APPRECIATED. Tutorial was easy to follow and set up

  • i dont get it !!!!!

  • What do you need help with? Let me know, I'll try to help.

  • That was a wicked demo mate. I think you have the only vid on Youtube that explains EVERYTHING needed to file share. The others just show how to set up and log on.

    Thanks so much!

    S.

PS Any chance of a Mac tutorial as well? ;-)

  • I don't have a Mac to test it out on, but I'd assume that it's fairly the same process, just make sure you share via OS X's sharing functions.

Glad you enjoyed the tutorial and hope it helped. Thanks for viewing.

  • OMG DUDE THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH, Ive been searching everywhere just to do that. Thanks man, Thanks alot
