@philxter BUY QUICK TIME PRO TOO. not the free version. The pro allows for you to cut and paste very fast when previewing. Most HIGH SPEED is a lot of waste footage. You have to import:-( takes forever. quick time opens instant, PRO allows for toggles highlight good part, copy, new, paste, save.

boom smaller cropped file.

Import to SD.

If your image looks pixely your lighting is too low, also water spray is impossible with this camera.

1200 frames per second isn't good enough to capture a fast-moving explosion. But you do a great job at finding some other after-effects that are interesting.

How did you get firecrackers to explode underwater?

Waterproof fuse. Any green rope fuse is waterproof. Firecracker companies use this more expensive fusing vs paper as their burn rate is more predictable.

You can but it is tricky with the higher speeds as the cropped viewing dimensions are not preview-able. So what happens is the curve of the lens is enhanced on higher speeds.

Sweet slomo. You bought those hydro crackers from Phantom and the red ones called Chinese New Year Celebration or something like that. Where can i buy a giant fresnel lens like the one you cook stuff with in your other vids?? WHERE DID YOU GET IT? I have a huge driveway split to fix and weeds everywhere that i want to cook away with something like that. Not to mention grilling, drying chemicals and dessicants etc, cooking contaminated soil.

Very nice shooting. Great angles too.  I squeezed off a few decent night shots at 300 fps of our fireworks. The fireworks last a heck of a lot longer that way!

Views up close we don't normally get to see. I know that after I light the fuse, all you can see of me is "asses and elbows!" I don't get to see "exactly" what happened.

Love the submerged explosives... fuse burns off and smoke bubbles slowly coming out of the body of the firecracker. Boy, those water bottles are tough!

All the fireworks in the beginning were ignited using a Fresnel Lens. The problem was too much light, the camera on high speed has a set aperture, once recording it does not adjust. So it was hard to do both.

what kind of camera did you use? what is it max. resolution at 300fps, 600 fps and 1200 fps... is 1200 highest?

Casio Exilim Pro EX-F1, 300 is 320x480 600 = 2?? x400

1200= 336 × 96

But it is very clean and actually interpolates up very well.

They key to the high speed video is lighting. You need a lot, if you underexpose, then grain appears and grain prevents image compression as every frame is totally different, this causes image breakdown. So lots of light = amazing images. It is also an amazing still camera that can burst shoot 60 9 MP images in one second. Wild camera $999 Shoots A+ HD video too.
