  • this isnt pnf, btw.

  • Who cares if she is doing it wrong or not. The research on flexibility is limited.

  • Powinien miec zdjete skarpetki i wzrokiem podazac za dlonia ale spoko..

  • @piechur25 dokładnie. aczkolwiek do samej prezentacji na to mozna przymknac oko. . .

  • What is she doing???????? My teacher cut me from that class 7 times until i learned to do it perfectly right!....and this is sooooooooooooooooo wrong!!!!!!!

  • D1 is false

  • we just had the d2 at school too and my teacher would beat me up if i'd practice it like this with my patients... lol

  • Wrong, you shouldn't allow a break between one movement and another. You are not respecting spiral and diagonal movement. Maybe you just studied PNF on books.

  • This isnt Kabat...

  • agree with u

  • PNF's are based on sherrington's principle of successive induction. in other words you shouldn't allow a break between one movement and another!!!

  • The good news is that this video is over 2 years ago and hopefully the person demonstrating actually learned the PNF patterns and some of the basic principles. Other than that the video should be title how NOT to do PNF

  • If you could read his mind...........

"note to self, cancel future physical therapy appointments with her, but while Im lying on this table I'd appreciate a happy ending"

  • I'm an occupational therapy student and this is NOT what textbook PNF is. Where did those VBC come from?!

  • I am a phyisical therapist, and I have been practicing for 45 years. I was trained, in Vallejo, by Maggie Knott.

What you are demonstrating is probably the worst abomination, bastardization

    i've ever witnessed. Patterns, manual

contacts, voice commands are wrong, wrong,, wrong. take a course, or stop

doing what you are doing, it certanly isn't

    PNF. Byron P. Wildermuth, P.T.

  • @blueagave84...really good representation of physical therapists you put out there with this response(sarcasm laid on pretty thick)...45 years and you still haven't grown up enough to keep your criticisms to your self, some PT you are. A field based on positive influences and education and you make it look like we're pompous a holes....its a video YOU elected to watch. I'd be rather embarrassed if I were you. You are pathetic.

  • Ive never seen this type of movement b4, can you please tell me what it is used for, it seems similar to that of upper limb tension tests, but to my knowledge they should be performed passively not actively???

  • He he he...

  • im trying to study for my lab final in occupational therapy and this video helped. just wondering, at what point do you resist with the upper extremities doing d1/d2??

  • Unfortunately no PNF techniques, Maggie Knott teached. I have no words for that stuff. I hope, nobody from Vallejo has seen this video, but i hope, Michelle gets to Vallejo one days and becomes aware, what PNF really is. Get there and try to improve!

  • lower limb pnf pattern is absolutely wrong..... thanks for demonstrating the upper limb correctly....

  • prawie jak resident evil

  • I really just wonder,, why get me little scores.... I just trying to get the therapists here the real view about principles of pnf,,,, just her touching the wrong antagonist which is in the different way of movement,,,, means stimulation of extroceptors of that side... and pressing (whatever slight) on the other direction muscle) leading to stimulation of the other muscle ,,, which is not in the same synergy,, wish u got me,,, and this is in the text books,, not practical dude!

  • Very well demonstrated, taught me a lot =].

  • that was awesome!

very well demonstrated thank you so much!

  • hey wait!!

there r alot of mistakes here,,, all we as physiotherapists should take care of

    1-Not touching the senstive areas

2-Be away from touching the antagonist muscle we r working in

3-Where is the mirror feedback ?? its important!

4-The privacy is very important in pnf,,, or to be with group therapy

5-Resistance,,, should be appear for the muscle of grade 5 ,, to overflow impulses to the weak muscle,,

I wish u get it,, and will try to make pnf with friends,,, and upload

  • dude you have no idea what you are talking about...

  • tell me please what is wrong in my words

  • Absolutly your opinion! The hand-feeding device is direfull, as well as the bodymechanic!

  • ya ya my friend,,, I will make vedio respond soon with the best correct pnf but when be some free

  • This help a bunch! Thanks

Texas PTA student class of 2009

  • very well demonstrated... can u add techniques for facilitation?
