@anteroXBash No it's not. It's the Gamecube version. Nintendo change the colors so they fit the GC controller buttons colors. I do have the MQ game though. The only different is the dungeon layouts.

(i HIGHLY recommend it because you can use an ACTUAL controller to use btwev) and ii just recently beat the game 100% besides a few Skultullas. @TheGalaxyFan sorry for the late response. Although i cant do the whole "walking backwards" schmeal, Ive played through this a few times. So, Prior to starting the fire temple, you have to go to the Zoras Domain. ONce inside, go to where the annoying king Zora is. You will fine that he is frozen. Go where Jabu jabu once was and their is a cave on the left side. Hop on the ice bergs and enter the cave. Its a mini temple and it shouldn't be too difficult if you have more than one bottle.
@Jcocchiarella100 At the end you fight a giant wolf. upon beating the wolf you get both the iron boots (which will help you get a few pieces of heart which are useful to get prior to beating the water temple) and the Serenade of water which is the song.

i just wanted to say that room (so-called "sky temple") wasn't left behind by accident, it was meant to be there, you can enter it by placing a bomb right in the beginning of the sacred forest meadow (before you enter the maze, your rumble pak usually rumbles there)

@Kryppuk lol actually this is real because this was done on a PAL MQ, it was only possible to do this on some MQs. The Master quest is just a cut down zelda 64 URA. zelda 64 URA was going to be an expansion to ocarina of time which used the 64 DD and added a lot of new things, dungeons,the (wind temple later changed) to sky temple and the ice temple, some items and some other stuff but didnt see release. Anyway this was going to be a major side quest you have to beat the running man
@Kryppuk and then he will mention your prize for not telling on his secret (that he was able to manipulate time) this was going to be an item you were gonna get in the sky temple, no other thing about the sky temple is metioned through out the game except that there are sky and ice medallions in the games coding and that Link had to wear the golden tunic ( Sky Tunic to survive the sky conditions) or the white tunic (Ice Tunic to survive the icy conditions)
@Kryppuk but since the zelda 64 URA never released, it left all of these remnants on the ROM of Ocarina of time, so in other words it was like DLC but back then it was called ADD ON CONTENT and all of those left over events will never be activated correctly, but when MQ came out, it was just a cut down URA, so that is why it has the coding of the running man event left in it. hope this is cleared up for ya now ;) But the good thing is miyamoto said he hopes to release URA in the future.
You can easily change specific dialogue in the game with a regular hex editor. There are even dedicated Ocarina of Time text editors online! Search for Gekinzuku to find one although I find regular hex editors like XVI32 easier to use.
A full text dump of this game has been on the internet for years and unfortunately there is no dialogue for beating this guy (it's impossible). It's great fun to mess around with those edited dialogue boxes in the game though :).
The fact that RustySporks himself posted on a friend's youtube channel (danimakesitrain): "Haha, thanks Dani. What's sad is that there is a programed cutscene for this, i managed to get it to work, It starts when you enter the tunnel, you run in and a second after the running man comes in and you start a talk, there is 6 chats however there is no text, I could try to find it but it would take way too long, but it seems like the time to beat him was taken out, if someone could just add a time it might play the cutscene properly and then we'll know are reward =P?

HA! I saw it in a video. Start the race, go to the past, go to the bridge in lost woods (Connects hyrule field and kokiri forest) and wait for 7 IN-GAME years which is about 1 week in real life. You will all of a sudden become Adult Link and the running man will be there and you win the race. Try it if you don't belive me!
He used to call himself faramir77 and he used an Emulator and a texteditor. I made my video after watching his, just to show how easy it is. The only differnt is that I used a gamecube and a program called GCNrd. It took me about 45 min. to put together.

@Kryppuk lol actually this is real because this was done on a PAL MQ, it was only possible to do this on some MQs. The Master quest is just a cut down zelda 64 URA. zelda 64 URA was going to be an expansion to ocarina of time which used the 64 DD and added a lot of new things, dungeons,the (wind temple later changed) to sky temple and the ice temple, some items and some other stuff but didnt see release. Anyway this was going to be a major side quest you have to beat the running man

@Kryppuk and then he will mention your prize for not telling on his secret (that he was able to manipulate time) this was going to be an item you were gonna get in the sky temple, no other thing about the sky temple is metioned through out the game except that there are sky and ice medallions in the games coding and that Link had to wear the golden tunic ( Sky Tunic to survive the sky conditions) or the white tunic (Ice Tunic to survive the icy conditions)

@Kryppuk but since the zelda 64 URA never released, it left all of these remnants on the ROM of Ocarina of time, so in other words it was like DLC but back then it was called ADD ON CONTENT and all of those left over events will never be activated correctly, but when MQ came out, it was just a cut down URA, so that is why it has the coding of the running man event left in it. hope this is cleared up for ya now ;) But the good thing is miyamoto said he hopes to release URA in the future.

You can easily change specific dialogue in the game with a regular hex editor. There are even dedicated Ocarina of Time text editors online! Search for Gekinzuku to find one although I find regular hex editors like XVI32 easier to use.
A full text dump of this game has been on the internet for years and unfortunately there is no dialogue for beating this guy (it's impossible). It's great fun to mess around with those edited dialogue boxes in the game though :).

What's sad is that there is a programed cutscene for this, i managed to get it to work, It starts when you enter the tunnel, you run in and a second after the running man comes in and you start a talk, there is 6 chats however there is no text, I could try to find it but it would take way too long, but it seems like the time to beat him was taken out, if someone could just add a time it might play the cutscene properly and then we'll know are reward =P?

according to ZELDAWIKI, not even with the use of a GAMESHARK code can someone beat him. Thererfore, I assume this video was faked. Correct me if I'm wrong. (Don't mean to sound like a jerk, but look him up.)

you cannot beat the runing man how do i no you ask? i have made a cheat were i press "i" on my key board and it sends me directly to the conversation on the bridg with him my time was 0:00 and i lost by 1 second it i impossible unless you recode it

I like the video anyways. It kind of sums up your imagination, if the possibility to beat him was left in the game. Sorry suckers but don't try it, you can't beat him it's just impossible. The race is just for fun. and besides how would he be sitting there before you and then say you beat him? That would obviously mean he got there fist, so yup he beat you. funny video though.

HA! I saw it in a video. Start the race, go to the past, go to the bridge in lost woods (Connects hyrule field and kokiri forest) and wait for 7 IN-GAME years which is about 1 week in real life. You will all of a sudden become Adult Link and the running man will be there and you win the race. Try it if you don't belive me!

He used to call himself faramir77 and he used an Emulator and a texteditor. I made my video after watching his, just to show how easy it is. The only differnt is that I used a gamecube and a program called GCNrd. It took me about 45 min. to put together.

@johnjohnjohn777 The Running Man can't be beaten. there's no cutscene for beating him in the game and if you check out a "textdump" you will find that there's no dialog about him loosing either.
