This movie doesnt suit for Venkatesh and ASin. It is a complete love story, But they two dont have good chemistry. The romantic scenes are very poor in telugu. Especially Asin's acting is horrible....Venkatesh has done good.

Haven't seen it in Telugu, so i'm not commentin on the film or Venkatesh's actin in it. Hav seen quite a few of his films in Telugu & even the Hindi ones. He's usually a good actor but i think he fails 2 do justice in this song. Body language is nothin like Suriya. Not comparing their talent but pointin out the stiffness reqd of a cop. Suriya was perfect, he didn't let go even in the romantic scenes. But Venkatesh is moving his head 2 the beat and even smiling! Thatz so outta charachter!

Who ever is talking about competing with the budget of each tamil and telugu versions just do not know the value of money.

Mind you guys, when you say tamil folks spend hung amounts of money in a movie, are you saying that they are putting that much quality into it where ever needed. Look at what Jodha Akbar showed you at the budget they did, Guru at what Mani ratnam could put in for such a good story into Hindi industry and what the Shakar threw away for such a poor plot in Sivaji...

Telugu used to be the bigger industry around 15 years back.. And then their levels hav come down... They claim a POORLY DIRECTED , AMATEUR film like ATHADU to have a budget of 20 Crores, which is nothing more than Hype..Watch the Hindi remake..U will understand what direction is...

Telugu is an excellent industry with lots of talents like RGV...

But how many Telugu movies have crossed the Budget of 50 Crores?? Not even one...

Rajini and Kamal films are made at BIG BUDGETS not because of Andhra Pradesh Markets.. Its becuase of the BIG FANFARE here in TAMIL NADU, and the PRESSURE and EXPECTATIONS they give... ANDHRA is just an addtional market for their films... If they focus andra market... Then Y doesnt Rajni act in an original Telugu film now??

rajni and kamal's budgets are big because of their big fanbase .They not only have base in TN, AP but the whole south..Sometimes they also get releases in other languages. they are national actors..regretfully ..its not the same wit telugu heroes..the same with Shankar..his movies run well in AP..so they can afford to be big budget..the biggest grossing movie in AP is 36 CR.Finally everything boils down to economics.U cant have a rajini movie thats 50 Cr tat only releases in TN..that's for sure

Yes, Surya was great, but Venky did excellent work. He's fantastic as Ram Chandra. I knew tamil KK first (of course), than telugu version and I can say that Venkatesh was brilliant, as good as it's possible.

thats incorrect.. the film didn' work due to other factors.. the dialogues weren't as effective in telugu..back then venkatesh was a bigger star than surya...and some scnes were better shot in the telugu version...proof ..we had yana gupta for the item song while ramya krishna did the tamil version...back then yana gupta was expensive and it was er first south film..
