framerate isn't exactly low, but the game speed becomes unstable.. my specs used to be quite awesome so i'm not sure whats wrong.

i have a question... does dirt2 say dirt2 rally... no so people need to stop saying they would expect more rally.. but on the other hand this is one of my favorite games and dirt 3 if i had to choose it would be dirt 2 i would pic.. dirt3 is good but dirt2 gives you the more fun experience with the voice overs and just better overall tracks for circuts and things like that.. dirt 3 is good for mainly going rally racing.. so dirt 2 is better than 3 on a bad day.. imagine on a great one

You think DiRT 3 is better, great, but thats not what everybody else thinks, its a matter of self preference. @RadioActive236 I'd recommend Dirt 3 over Dirt 2 for the focus on point-to-point rally and Gymkhana which is suprisingly fun IMO and it really proves that Dirt's handling model feels right over many other racing games with drifting because of the feel at the edge of traction even though I play with a controller instead of a wheel. That aside D2 and D3 compliement one another because the tracks are unique to each, so having both is great if you're a fan.

@eddycatflap depends what you want, dirt 2 is a very lively game with the BEST soundtrack a game has ever had, when you finish a race you return to your trailer where the great soundtrack plays in the background, dirt 3 is a much more sim based experience, it has very boring sim music and a strange triangle based menu, the graphics are only slightly improved and the gymkhana is the only saving ingredient, it is really fun, so id give dirt 2 a 9.8 and dirt 3 a 8.2 but its your choice.

Graphics - Amazing, The van, cars, damage, menu, water and weathering

Gameplay - Realistic and the game pace is very fast, all cars feel fast, some are faster. The handling for cars are enjoyable

Music - Listen to all of them, They are the best music I've ever heard, It is as good as Halo's music

Msc. - Toys, Horns, Liveries and the Mcrae tribute was just bonus points in my opinion

Price - 30 Dollars second hand and 35 - 40 for brand new

Just try it, it is very unlikely if you hate it

@SuperKRMAK Thats a weak power supply. Its probably going to run hot. I have similar specs to those but I have a 5770 with a 650W but my dual core is only 2.6 GHZ. On max settings (1080p; 8x AA ;16x AF) for this game I get around 70 fps - 75 fps at 65C - 70C

Not really a racing fan so I uninstalled the game but it looked nice. I mostly just play PES 2011 and NBA 2K11 on the PC. I've played Crysis 2 and COD Blck ops w/ no troubles at all.

@SuperKRMAK Sweet, that will definitely get you more FPS. I would of gotten something like that but my PC was pretty much free. Just built from spare parts from the Intel lab that my cousin brought home. I just bought a 1TB seagate HDD, and the Radeon 5770. If your budget allows it go for an i3 or whatever the AMD equivalent is. Give you some more time before you have to upgrade to the next rig.

Why the hell is he complaining... It's called Dirt 2 not Rally Racing 2. Get WRC 2010 to get a Rally game which is really good for Rally fans. Dirt shouldn't become a Rally game, there are official ones already out there. Dirt stays Dirt :)

Colin McRae died with his son in a helicopter accident Sep 16, 2007, since then the game is called dirt.. And if you ask me, i too am not big on the trucks aspect, but regardless this was a pretty damn good game, at least 8.9.

@MisterBlinkyTheGreat umm no, Dirt is supposed to be a rally game, Dirt was a colin mcrae game, and all colin mcrae games were rally games, in dirt 1 was a rally game, but they added normal races to make it a bit more modern, its purpose wasnt off road racing, it was mainly rally until colin mcrae died some time after dirt 1 came out, after that they didnt use his name anymore and I figured they kinda focused less on rally, BUT, its technically still a rally racer
