  • Just had my 2nd ACL reconstruction about 6 weeks ago. There is no way he is walking after that surgery, especially with a bucket handle meniscal tear.

  • THIS IS BULL ****! i had my acl reconstruction and meniscus 6 week ago and iam just about walkin without crutches!

  • Comment removed

  • BS of one day after, i was yelling in pain because my anestasia wore off, i wasnt walking until almost.......about 5-6 weeks out and tht was with a my brace on, now its gonna be 2 months in about a week or so.

  • Load of bullshit I just did ACL reconstruction/meniscal repair this past Monday. I just started to be able to even remotely hobble/walk with my immobilizer on without crutches. If that kid really tried doing any of that stuff a day after surgery he'd be screaming like a little bitch.

  • how long until this kid returned to skateboarding?

  • @jrich23own as soon as he left the hospital lol. This is bs I just had this 3 days ago and I am just barely able to stand on both feet that is day 3.

  • Everyone is different. I have had three knee surgeries and a few other surgeries. I am one of the lucky people who wake up from anesthesia the same as I would wake up in the morning. I walked after all of my knee surgeries the same day, carefully of course.

  • its been two weeks n i still cant start therapy

  • bullshit its been 4 days and i still cant walk proparly

  • bull shit i couldn't walk for 2 weeks lol

  • BS.

You guys are spitting in the face of every person who fucked their knees up and had to go through near hell right after the surgery.

  • BULLSHITT!!! change the title to " 1 MONTH AFTER ACL SURGERY AT SANDERS CLINIC"

  • CAN YOU SAY BULLSHIT!!!!!! your quad isnt physicaly strong enough to make a muscle so 1 day after you cant lift your leg up with out you struggling really hard or it hurts like a bitch. i wasnt able to walk or lift my leg up for leg raised til about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks later. UNless this doctor is the best in the world this is BS

  • @cooperdccooper shit man that must have hurt

  • my fucking ass one day i had this surgery 7 days ago and i still cant walk without crutches

  • the ultimate aim is not to strain on the operated portion and get help to rehabilitate the acl with the help of other muscles

  • For those have done acl surgery , don't follow this practice and break ur knee This video is absolutely fake ,I was in bed for 4 days after acl & lateral meniscus surgery, the other ligaments has lost its strength after acl cut. Its not possible for knee to relax to this extent as shown in this video. The exercise which we should follow is to straighten , stiff , relax and pull the muscles of thighs and foot without changing the acl and meniscus position.

  • For who doesnt know... meniscus is something in your knee that absorvs part of the impact when you walk or run. After having such a delicate surgery it wouldn't be possible for him to walk one day after, only if he wants to screw up his meniscus again.

  • the first day after surgery i couldnt even get out of my bed to take a piss! this is a lie!

  • first song played?

  • This is bullshit!

  • Whiskmos, you and everyone else should not doubt based on your results. My 14 year old daughter went to Sanders and has had these same results. She walked out of the hospital. When we got to the hotel, she got out of the car and walked in the hotel and up the stairs. We have posted our own videos. Check them out under my user name.

  • @soccerfanof3and7 Relax, i didnt even get acl surgery man, but i study about it, and i became curious with those results, and just to clarify, i´m based on the world standard procedure following this surgery, which includes 24/36hs in total repose and rest in the hospital, which the arguably best doctors and surgeons of the world, follow those procedures, and i´m not even talking about the crutches and other stuff, or the 6 months (not 3, like he says) to patellar tendon graft fully gets mature!

  • Sounds a little BS... "He walked into the hospital and out of the hospital the same day" ... what kind of anesthesia did he uses? 24 hours after the surgery you´re barely able to pee, or to feel the strenght and power of your legs because your body are still metabolizing the anesthesia fluids, and basically, the world medicine has a common sense of 36 hours in the hospital taking antibiotics and pain killers, and to do the traditionally observation process of the patient.. Unless you are GOD :)!

  • Why do you question? There are alot of people who have been to Dr. Sanders and can tell you what you are seeing is true. My daughter had hers Aug. 3, 2011. We got back hometo NC on Tuesday August 9, 2011. My daughter is proof to all of her soccer friends that this is true. She is 10 days out tomorrow and is at 150 degrees in both knees and walking normal. She is doing great. For those who wish they had rich parents, I can tell you rich I am far from.

  • haha wtf yea right his leg isnt even swelled and if this is one day after he'd be walking like an idiot from the drugs.. this dude is walking perfectly straight

  • well, if this is truly one day after surgery the physician is not following standard practice guidelines and could be sued for malpractice if any further injury occurs or the repair fails. What type of idiot posts this on their clinic page and still maintains it 3 years later?

  • yea this vid is true. cause they numbed his whole body and probably gave him genes that made him wolverine without claws.

  • i wish i had rich parents :(

  • This is BULLSHIT, i had surgery 5 days ago, acl reconstruction and repair meniscus, i still in ma bed cannot walk without crutches, cannot really put pressure on my leg. it is really impossible for this video. fake sander clinic

  • bullshit!

  • Were you attempting to do the moon walk? Looked more like the Mars Walk

  • This is BS, i had my ACL surgery using hamstring graft 3 days ago and i can barely walk with the sticks. No way this is real.

  • hahahah this is a miracle,i did my surgery in january and it took a week and a half to start walking so don't tlk shit

  • jokesssss this is like 2 months after,

  • Ok so i just had a knee arthroscopy yesterday to remove plica from my knee, and i cant even do that. This is FAKE. My friend had ACL surgery and she couldnt walk for awhile, especially not the next day!

  • I had surgery last friday, ACL reconstruction with the pattellar tendon from the same leg. I also had two tears in my meniscus that where able to be sowed back together. the spot that bugs me the most is the two spots with the meniscus. Im already at about 80 degrees flexion and able to put some pressure while walking. I think the meniscus repairs are the worst part or the meds haha they make me loopy

  • can anybody tell me what it will feel like as i am going in for my knee in 5 days thanks

  • can't agree more with everybody, I had a hamstring graft ACL+15% Medial Meniscus done a week ago and I am still in my brace, can't fully bear weight and have a very limited ROM (mind you, no continuous passive torture device). My OS is also comes highly recommended having worked on various NFL and MLB teams, so I assume he did a decent job on me... there is NO way that this can be real, lateral and backwards motions would seem impossible for me at this point too!

  • this is bullshit

  • how is this possible, yes i am a miserable ACL/Meniscus tear patient and filled with all the frustration of being a very good athlete at a D-1 school. I like to keep an open mind but how is this possible, with all the swelling, bruising and pain. If this is real it is impressive and why is the only place that has such success stories like this. Also, why don't all professional athletes get surgery done here? If real its amazing and i feel robbed, if its fake then you all should feel ashamed.

  • I'm with everyone else, I had the same surgery and it's been a month and a week and I'm still in a brace from my thigh to my ankle. I'm walking with a very bad limp and my knee and my ankle swells every time I stand seems like. So walking backwards and moving side to side like that, that's a big NO NO.

  • thats not 1 day after a reconstruction only got it done myself yesterday and cant do any of that still on cruchesand in a lot of pain thats not giving any hope to anybody just after getting it done fu**ing ass holes posting s***t like that.

  • Have checked it out and it is a total farse as most have indicated. My daughter had the surgery 2.5 weeks ago with a surgeon with a far better reputation than this doc. as he was previously physician for Colts and Purdue football teams. This is impossible to say the least unless of course his was not a complete reconstruction with bone graft. Would like to see what his knees look like for real at this time to see exactly where he is post surgery.

  • Have checked it out and it is a total farse as most have indicated.

  • To all that don't believe this video is true...I have a question for..Are all of you sitting around after surgery researching your injury? I would think you'd do at least a little research prior to letting someone cut on you. Just because you didn't have the "easier" road to recovery as Dr. Sanders patients did, doesn't mean the video is a farse...it just means you are in pain and pissed that someone had a easier time recovering.

  • Comment removed

  • @rcaldwellr WOW...did I hit a nerve in you or what! I'm very sorry you weren't fortunate enough. Well, should you ever need a "recon" again, you can make a consultation appt and find out for yourself because Dr. Sanders, as well as his staff, are truly amazing at what they do. NO..I didn't have an ACL injury but I did see him for my Clavicle after my original ortho doctor screwed up! I saw some of his ACL patients completing their therapy sessions so I know first hand the video is what it is.

  • had mine done last week and 80% 0f ma leg is bruised and bright purple, still cant get close to walking properly without crutches, this vids alot of bollocks

  • this kind of procedure takes 4-6 months to heal, this is EASILY the biggest load of crap I have ever watched in my lifetime

  • this is the biggest load of crap. im onday 4 and i can only bring my knee to about a 35 degree angle. thumbs up if your like me!

  • I just had my ACL surgery 4 days ago, hahah no way this vid is real..common now this is such BS..I walked without crutches two days after my surgery but it was very unstable and wobbly and it hurt like a bitch....But I had one of the top knee surgeons in Toronto and my knee is feeling a lot better day by day....like I said this vid is CRAP

Thank you Canada for free health care tho lol

  • Theses stupid videos from the Sanders Clinic are a complete load of bollocks!! Today I've just had my staples out after acl reconstruction 2 weeks ago, I'm still on one of my crutches and getting around slowly but its going to 4 to 6 weeks and hard work in physio for things to get back to normal ish!!

This video is a complete insult to people going through this procedure and completely misleading.Michael Owen had acl reconstruction after the 2006 world cup, it took him 11 months to return.

  • BULL SHIT

  • i'm six weeks after acl recon and im just about walking like that now. lesson learned.. don't take risks when skiing...

  • Comment removed

  • one day after my ass this is probably 1 month after

  • @evinger79 evey vid they do is a lie, y not tell the truth so we can compare our recovery

  • @evinger79 no its true after mine they have me doing the same shit the day after

  • this is pure bullshit

  • Just had acl repair and meniscus repair done yesterday, had a nerve block on my leg. I will be non-weightbearing for 2 days, on crutches, with a brace. I go see Physical Therapy tommorrow. I am a very active 39 years old, soon to retire from the Army. My knee 24hrs post is pretty damn sore....and my nerve block is still wearing off.

  • wow - this took me about 3 months!!

  • I call bull shit.

  • witch knee did u tear ur acl in?

  • I am 18months into a reco and my knee is still very sore in the morning and I find it hard to exercise, is this common for alot of patients you have dealt with?

    thanks in adance!

  • @riceburnagtv hey i had my surgery done in july last year and im going back to soccer in april. I was cleared in early january. u should probably see a physiotherapist

  • @dannytub94 Yeah I think I will,so yours isn't sore at all?

  • @riceburnagtv nope its feeling great actually, i was out for a year though but hopefully it'll be worth it, coz im only 16

  • sir i wish were my docter i had an acl replacement as well as mcl and miniscus repair its been 6 months and i still cant run i hate it im always scared of tearing it now

  • this cannot be possible.. i could barely move my leg after surgery and it was hurting like a bitch

  • Dear Dr. Mark Sanders,

I feel so great after a while from my surgery of my left knee, ACL reconstruction and Menicus as well. I took me weeks after I was able to walk without crutches or at least one week or two ..to only used be able to used one crutche. I had reading few comments. Now, I need to have done my rigth knee, i play soccer. My question is: What is the main factor that determinate: wherether you are able to do all theses exercicse the next day or in the nexts weeks? thanks

  • This is a bunch of crap.......

  • ok i need help on some exercises to bend my leg... i had a cadaver. plz need help.... atm im 73 on machine and 7 days after surgery

  • yeah its about 30 hours after my surgery and my doc doesnt even want me trying to walk for at least 48 hours. BtW wheres this kids brace at? Shouldnt he be on crutches? Idk this doesnt seem right

  • I've had 2 ACL reconstructions by one of the best surgeons in the US, you can't touch his work. There is no way this is even close to 24 hours post-surgery, and for you to claim that is beyond ignorant.

  • took me 6 week....with help...to walk

  • this is complete bullshit, one day after this surgery( acl mcl meniscus and cartilage drilling0 i was barley able to even feel my leg due to the heaviness of the swelling the ice machine i was attached to and the ridiculous amount of weakness that came from my two hamstring tendons being removed to replace my acl. "Mr. Mark Sanders, MD FACS" your an idiot to defend that this patient was doing that one day after surgery.

  • i just had just arthroscopy/ key hole surgery to repair a bucket handle tear in my meniscus and im not moonwalking about with my full weight on it and this is supposed to be a way more complex surgery procedure and therefore the recovery should be longer: i was told 3months if i needed ths surgery.

  • I had acl/pcl with a meniscus repair. My mcl was torn as well, but not repaired. I was grafted with my own patella and hamstring tendons as well as achilles from cadaver. When I came out of recovery and had to shift over into my hospital bed, I pulled myself over. I got myself out of bed and went to the bathroom after getting settled into my hospital room. I am not an athlete, and am much older then this boy. So I completely believe this is possible.

  • TOTAL NONSENSE. This Sanders guy is a crackhead. Im not advertising anything...this guy is. I have had ACL repair by one of the best Orthopaedics in the UK. You wont be doing this after one day youll be managing it if all goes well after a week....minimum.

  • I had surgery 5 weeks ago. Meniscus surgery. Feels exactly the same. Removal of torn meniscus. Well since then I gained 10lbs and my knee is the same. All I wanted from this surgery was stretch down with a full squat till my butt almost touched the ground. Sux. Waste. I wish it did heal 100%. Not even close.

  • i can believe this quite easily. i had acl reconstruction on the 15th december and was able to walk without a crutch on day 2. i didnt even stay over night in hospital. just over 2 weeks now and i have just a little swelling left and i can walk the very well.

i think it must be down to how good the surgeon is because i know a few people who had the same operation done and they were on crutches for 6 weeks.

  • i can believe this quite easily. i had acl reconstruction on the 15th december and was able to walk without a crutch on day 2. i didnt even stay over night in hospital. just over 2 weeks now and i have just a little swelling left and i can walk the very well.

  • the song is "only in dreams". i think it accurately describes this video.

  • I think this is supposed to say "One Week After Surgery"

  • this is bull. i had acl lateral meniscus repair on july 30, i just got off crutches about 2 months ago! this video is basically misleading people. that is total bs. that that is 24 hours after. if he actually had the surgery done, he'd be asleep on his couch. DONT BELIEVE IT.

  • This video is bull shit. I got my ACL, MCL, and Meniscus surgery 6 weeks ago and i'm only bending it to 140 degrees and i only have 50% weight bearing..I'm also a 3 sport athlete and a 2 time wrestling state champion hoping to get back to the mat by February.

  • bro after my knee surgury the doctor told me to rest for 2 weeks and after the go back and see him and then he he send me to start doing therapy i did it for 3 months ..yea no way thats after one day.

  • This is absolute baloney...are you seriously saying that 24 hrs after surgery, and very expensive surgery at that, you go a risk it all and start doing 90 degree knee bends and strut around without crutches!!! Unbelievably bad practise. Crutches for a minimun of 2weeks is recommended by most good consultants. This video is bull or that kid is half man, half bionic!

  • Plus, all I did in rehab today was CryoCuff, heel slides, quad sets, hammy sets and assisted lifts, and I go to a sports medicine place. It's nice to post these vids to try and drum up business, but you're going to have a lot of unhappy patients when they realize what an ACL surgery and rehab is about.

  • This video is total crap. If the Sanders Clinic is cranking out bone-patellar grafts that are ambulating independently, and at their 4th week of PT in one day, I will shit in my hat and wear it. I had an ACL reconstruction using my hamstring, along with a meniscal repair on Tuesday. I am doing better than a lot of patients - I am tolerating weight bearing, some stairs and am able to bend my knee to 60 degrees, but that was all 36 hours after surgery. The first post op day was HORRIBLE.

  • It is possible to do this 0ne day after surgery. I blew my ACL out in Iraq on a mission and tore my meniscus. I had a cadaver ACL reconstruction and the torn meniscus cut out. One day after surgery I could get around without crutches, my Dr. was irritated with me and forced me to use crutches for 3 weeks. I was in physical therapy 36 hours after surgery doing the same type of exercises. I was told prior to surgery that my military career was over, I'm still in, I'm still Infantry.

  • its certainly not 24 hrs after the surgery...... i met with an accident and my ACL got torn off......even after 4 days post surgery i was asked not to put any pressure on the injured leg....... i had to wear the knee braces continuously even after two weeks of surgery before my physiotherapy would start....... so either you arent havin acl of that severity or you are a SUPERMAN...!!!!

  • ok so i had surgery on novemeber 9th and i am just now getting off crutches and i had a bone patellar tendon reconstruction for my miniscus and acl on my right knee... this is a complete joke... and in this video the guys straight leg raise is NOT in the least bit straight.. so he obviously needs to go see a new physical therapist cause his leg will be like that forver if its not fixed

  • I got this surgery in Canada, and I got it for free, THANK YOU CANADA !

  • no fuckin way i had it right knee!!! you liars!

  • haha there s no way on da world u ll be able to walk on it without crutches after one day..

i did my operation a month ago n today only i was able to walk without crutches

stop effin lyin it wont get u anywhereee

  • yea seriously he can not do that a day after surgery because he would still be on numbness block which if he puts any weight on it he will collapse instantly i tore my ACL and MCL and had to repair my meniscus ....unless ur on steroids haha

  • no way this is real.. i mean is just silly thinkin u ll be able to do that i've gone thru this twice now, and no way this is possible.

    hey doc wuts ur secret?

  • First off, this being the next day does NOT supprise me in the least. When I Was coaching we had a kid blow his ACL the end of October and he was running track in March. I'm sorry some of you, like myself, have had bad docs. I had my patella worked on as well as meniscus and its 4 months post op and my knee is WORSE than before surgery and it cost me my job.

GOOD Docs can have you up and running in no time. It just goes to show, do your research and make sure you have a great doc

  • @brandell69 agreed, i had a great dock and while i didnt walk on it the first day of pt i did the second, plus lots of stretching excercises ect, i was wakeboarding 6 months after surgery but could have done it sooner. Now im a bump skier and i hardly have any problems with my knee. My "good" knee is actually worse and has more pain occurances than the knee i had surgery on

  • I have to apologize for using your video for asking a question that's a little out of the topic, concidering the large amounts of viewers interested with this. I have a torn meniscus from more then an year and a half. I will get surgery after 2 months and I am strongly concerned if anyone who's been in the same situation can tell me how is his knee now. I pray to God to help me get my knee strong as before again, but I am low on hope right now. Please reply. Thank you :)

  • this aint real it took me 2 and a half months b4 i cud even start walkin without crutches

  • dude i had meniscus repair and i cant walk on it for 6 weeks

  • i just had surgery on the 9th of Oct, and i just wont ever find myself believing any of these videos. i had ACL surgery / Meniscus repair on my right knee

  • hey yo no creo es impocible,,,,

  • thats bullshit my knee was the size of a water melon after sergery the swelling took tooks weeks to go away and i couldnt walk for lik a month afterwards this is shit i went to the place where sklar practices mind you he invented the surgery he did wes welckers knee thats shit no way is this real and you can try to defend it all you want no one is buying it

  • no post opp brace? just those two little bandages on his knees? yeah right. Read EVERYONE'S comment, don't believe this.

  • fuck dis shit ders no way he can walk just aftr 24hrs of the surgery.sum dumbass has put up dis video to promote sanders clinic an he thinks the rest of the world is also dumb.

  • i call BS on this. Sanders is just trying to puff up his clinic, no matter how much he says "Terribly sorry to bust your bubble". i had an ACL reconstruction with a hamstring graft done on 8/10 and i am walking on it for about a week now, with AGRESSIVE physical therapy. This is BS.

  • @sshaull2005 Yeah there is no way i just had mine done on 8-13-10 and i started walking with no crutches in 2 weeks tommorow will be week # 3 but they said i have to wear a brace for 6 months! Sucks

  • @ChevroletTuff Yeah im starting to walk more on it. I had a little set back in therapy as my hamstring is still pretty weak and i strained it a bit. im almost a month from surgery. An Acl and meniscus recovery for sports is 6 months minimun back to full health.

you have to wear a brace for 6 months?!? i was out of my immobilizer in 2 weeks. what type of brace?

  • @sshaull2005 Thats good that your doing good. So you're walking on it fully with no brace or anything? Its wierd different doctors have different rules i guess. Yeah i have to wear a brace on my leg for 6 months they said i get a custom fit brace in 3 more weeks. I think maybe they just told me that cause i ride dirtbikes and they dont want me on them lol.

But how carefull are you? They didnt really tell me anything and i just dont know how carefull i have to be

  • @ChevroletTuff What exactly did you injure? my injury list was : Torn ACL, Torn meniscus, ruptured bakers cyst, sprained MCL, and microfracturing on my Tibia. I had the ACL reconstructed with a hamstring graft and then my meniscus repaired. They told me to take it easy on it still, and not to put full weight for 2 weeks, to give my meniscus time to heal a bit. I'm quite careful as to what i do, for fear that i will re-injure it. As for my brace, they told me to wear it until my Quad started

  • firing again, which took about two weeks. ive went from 80degrees bending and -10 degrees straightened to 135 degrees bent and +3 degrees straightened. I cant imagine that you would have to wear a brace for 6 months. Most of the time the entire recovery process is 6 months long.

  • he can walk 1 day after? no way

  • bullshit, I had mine yesterday and I am still in excruciating pain, even if he was a rare case, I would think this boy is putting way to much stress on it and any doctor condoning it should go back to school

  • dffhdhdfg

  • I paid about 1000 $ for ACL reconstruction+meniscus repair in Bulgaria. Its been 2 weeks after surgery and I'm pretty much able to walk without any gadgets and stuff on my leg.Well for foreigners it would be about 2500$ because they dont have a bulgarian medical insurance but still its lot cheaper than in US and compared to all those american vids in internet about knee operations ,I would say the doctors here do the same good job, sometimes even better.

  • Free in Canada:D i love this country!

  • it is physicaly impossible if you had a acl reconstruction to be able to do this within the next day im sorry i just had a patella realignment which isnt even as bad as an acl reconstruction and im on my 3rd day and im just able to walk with my leg brace on and cannot bend my knee while walking.

  • i had mine done free courtesy of the nhs. my mcl was smashed up aswell

  • This is total bullshit.I just had this done yesterday 8-3-2010 and I can't even move because it's very painfull. My dr said I have to use crutches for a minimum of one month. So I have to agree with Saralovesriceee.

  • I don't understand all the criticism... First, noone says this case is typical--in fact even the music would suggest otherwise. Second, this is a contralateral graft so there's less trauma to the injured knee (and more to the other knee). I bet most of you have had ipsilateral grafts (from the same knee). So you cannot compare apples and oranges.

  • my ass i didnt walk like that until about a week into my recover

  • 1 day after = total bullshit

  • WOW, 24HRS after surgery???Thats Crazy...But I guess Skaters always have stronger legs...so he would be in better shape post surgery than someone with weaker legs...I go in for surgery on friday...Little Nervous..But I am glad to get it over with..I have been waiting for my growth plates to close..And there just sbout closed...

  • Yeah right....... if thats the case why arent soccer players gettin it done this way??

  • I had an ACL tear + a small meniscus fissure. The ACL was reconstructed (hamstring graft), the meniscus didn't need repairing. 24 hours after the surgery, I was also walking.Very slowly, with 2 crutches. The doctors told me after the op. to put as much weight on the leg as bearable.Still, contracting the thigh muscles enough to put my leg forward was extremely painful, and was so at least 4 days after. And my recovery was considered fairly easy and fast. So I really have doubts about your video.

  • Comment removed

  • Only in America.

  • Did you still have the effects of the nerve block when you were doing this?

  • About 1-2 percent of nerve blocks are associated with complication of continuing severe nerve pain that interferes with rehab. For that reason I never use them, the from the video it is obvious that they are not necessary

    Mark Sanders MD FACS

  • there is NO WAY this is 24 hours after surgery... i JUST got this done. i have a video up of myself after my surgery (i got this done 2 weeks ago) and i was soo loopy and the doctor said to put absolutely no pressure on it for the first 24 hours... this video is such a lie and makes people think acl surgery isnt that bad... its TERRIBLE... lol plus the guy said it was 18,500 dollars, it was 49,500 for me...

  • Terribly sorry to burst your bubble, but the video is real as well as the drive out price.

    Mark Sanders, MD FACS

  • @sandersclinic alright, i went to one of the best orthopedic surgeons i could find and he would have NEVER had me doing this a DAY after the operation. at my post-surgery visit 3 DAYS after he still said to keep off it as much as possible. & i did a little digging, & standard prices start at about 30k without insurance, so 18.5k may be the price your charging and clearly the patients that go to you are getting what they're paying for, a cheap, shitty knee surgery that will probably fall apart.

  • @sandersclinic I had this surgery done twice in the best sport clinic in Germany and I was knocked out after it. How do you make it that it is not swollen? I had tubes in it for 24 hours. How can you let him walk around? I mean, the bone-patellar tendon-bone graft needs 6 months to get its full strength, it can rupture immediately, wear out, and also the bolt can become loose.

    What about the muscle atrophy?

with my knowledge, this is impossible and even if it is possible, it is reckless.

  • @sarahlovesriceee yeah wtf, this video is ridiculous haha, i had my surgery done a month ago and according to this rehab I would be playing full out soccer now with no problem. I couldn't even sleep the second day because of the excruciating pain. This kid is walking. What a joke.

  • @sarahlovesriceee Hmm.. ACL surgery here is on 5000 euros

  • @sarahlovesriceee I was walkking (although very slowly) on the third day of my surgery. But I am rather fit and weigh 160 lb. That may have something to do with it.

    Wish you a speedy recovery.

  • @sarahlovesriceee I was walking on the third day of my surgery (very slowly though).

It has been 2 weeks now and I do not need the crutches anymore. I am rather fit and weigh only 160 lb. That may have something to do with it.

I wish you a speedy recovery

  • @MrLalolalolalolalo i was off the crutches after 3 weeks but for this guy to put in this video that you can jump around and do all this shit 1 day after full ACL surgery?? there's NO WAY. it's been over 3 months since my surgery now and i JUST got the approval to use the eliptical and i can't even run for another month...

  • @sarahlovesriceee 24 HOURS !!!!!!! woww. and 18,500 or 49,500.... are u serious. Now thats unbelievable...here in Canada its free, money is not even thought of.

  • @sarahlovesriceee 24 HOURS !!!!!!! woww. and 18,500 or 49,500.... are u serious. Now thats unbelievable...here in Canada its free, money is not even thought of. plz do tell how the surgery was done, that he can walk a day later...

  • @sarahlovesriceee i agree with you, totally BULLSHIT

i went for the donor option, which is less pain and less knee stress and i was not able to stand up for 2 days

  • @tunes362 yeah fuck sanders!!! this bulll!!! there jest trying to find patients for profit!!!!

  • @sarahlovesriceee

WTF almost 50 000$ for the surgery??? Really?? i had done this 3 mounts ago in Bulgaria where i live and it was less than 1000$ with 2 titanium screws and i was walking at the 10th day very carefully but i was walking it's not that bad but i don't think that video i 1 day after the surgery cuz 2 years ago i had meniscus surgery and even that i was walking on the second day. I don't say that it's not true that but it's hard to believe

  • @Calardo666 yep, it was roughly 49.5k without insurance! it only cost my family 5000 after insurance costs were paid for. but the reason it was so expensive for me is because i went to one of the leading surgeons in California, there's a big difference between prices and the quality of the surgery from california to bulgaria...lol

  • @sarahlovesriceee .... $49,000 for a knee operation ..ripped off mate.

  • @You had to pay for yours?

  • @FloppyDickNation it was only like 4000-5000 after insurance.

  • @sarahlovesriceee But you still had to pay?

  • @FloppyDickNation yes. worth every penny though. went to one of the best orthopedic surgeons i could find, he was a little pricier, but he has a lot of experience. he did my sister's operation and he was actually one of the pioneers of a self graft [rather than a cadaver graft]

  • @sarahlovesriceee Ahh, sounds good to me. Just sounded strange because I live in England and we have our operations etc for free.

  • sorry but no way can he do that after 1 day.i had an acl reconstruction using the hamstrig+ a Meniscal Repair of the left knee n couldnt walk on the knee for 4 wks because of the meniscal repair so no way could he do all that after only a day!!

  • @sarahmoore85 I had a meniscus repair 5 days ago and i can walk now :) i guess the time of recovery is changing from person to person...

  • Great choice for background music: ONLY IN DREAMS. A person with meniscus repair shouldn't bear any weight on the leg for a few weeks.

    That's all BS

  • look at what 3 months after al surgery looks like for a 14 year old girl baller

type in 3 months after acl surgery (14 year old baller)

  • There must be disadvantages to having the patellar graft from the other knee,

If not then every surgeon should adopt this new way of surgery. Im 9 months post op at the moment, but I remember my first day and the meds still hadn't even worn off. I was walking at 2.5 weeks, and I had ACL reconstruction with the patellar graft from the same knee and a small meniscus clean up.

  • Dr. Sanders, I've been watching all of your amazing videos and am so impressed! I had a menisectomy (1/3rd of cartilege excised) an an allograft to my left knee a few years back...the best thing I've ever done. What I'm so amazed at is why was I NOT allowed to put weight on my leg for 3 weeks, unlike your patients? How, Dr. Sanders, is your technique so different as to allow for patients to be able to perform normal walking and flexing of the knee only 1 day after surgery? I'm so interested!

  • no way after my acl and meniscal repair for me to walk like him maybe 2 weeks, if not more

  • How much does this surgery cost. Cause i need this surgery done.

  • @NcLatina28

The drive out cost for all medical services is $18,500

  • @NcLatina28 Mine costed 22,230. Not including, how many times it took them to diagnose me, and after I had to go to the hospital again, cause the machine they gave me stretched it out, and then they had to put a new cadaver in. So i don't know depends :D
