I don't really think that anyone has the capability to correctly judge whether or not Sean's response to Laci was appropriate or not. Regardless of any illegal or immoral activity on Sean's part, which he alone will have to answer for, we still don't have access to all the details of the motives of a girl who openly mocks Christian faith. For example, if Laci was baiting Sean through her questions then God would know it.

Good point. I live in the so-called bible belt in a suburb of Atlanta. Even when I worked in rural Georgia for a while and met a lot of really stupid creationists, none of them were as vitriolic as PCS.

very well said. I never liked the mental gymnastics required to see his logic in most of the responses venom gave to others. Anyway ive been reading a book on brainwashing. A lot of it delt with the brainwashing done by religions and communism which follows the same principles.
Anyway Shawn at the end attacking gogreen18 tells me that thats how he was duped. And by that i mean he was beaten down down with threats and fear til a point of a mental break. He then welcomed the alternative choice to his fears, his now found salvation, of christianity. So
instead of having an intellectual conversation with Laci, like a child who reverts back to its first teachings, he decided to convince her from the starting point that he himself started at. That point being a fear conversion.
This was the best tool for converting the ignorant masses back in the day. Some priests even got scientific about the best way to make new converts. They took notes on the speechs to make, how long you should to make it, and how best to introduce the salvation.

Actually, Nicos, just so you know, PCS/VFX/Shawn was not brainwashed into religion by his parents. I couldn't believe that some people I spoke to in the USA thought that the bible was 100% true. It was a jaw dropping experience. I mean how dumb can one be? Shawn's response to Laci didn't surprise me. When Christians realise they're backed into a corner or could be as such, you usually get an appeal to fear, or the wait till your father gets home technique then blurt out biblical prophesies.
No worries. It was interesting to watch. You must be a more optimistic person than me, as I never really had any hope or expectation that Shawn would change.
His reasoning seemed closer to a game of Twister where with each spin (video) it becomes harder to accommodate what has to now be said with what has already been said, without falling. The best example being that Shawns god is a loving mass murder, yet somehow he seemed convinced that this was okay and right. Poor Winston Smith (Nineteen Eighty Four) was tortured into thinking that that Big Brother was always right, Shawn seems to have done this alone, which is scary to me.

It was his arrogant refusal to engage constructively with his opponents, or to admit any flaw in his reasoning, that drove so many against him. As for GoGreen, she just asked some reasoned, historically based questions, and he responded with unexamined dogma and scare tactics. I don't see how this validates Christianity.

A violation of free speech? Is youtube a government entity now? The 1st amendment dictates that the U.S. government cannot censor free speench. It does not apply to corporations (such s Google, which owns youtube), individuals or foreign governments. Anyway, as I understand it, VFX left youtube on his own accord, so the argument is moot.

You think he's "quick-witted"? Good lord, I couldn't disagree more. After having his blather roundly debunked time after time, he isn't smart enough to make the mental leap of examining the (in)validity of his spew.
Part of the problem with his "beliefs" is that they're predicated on rejecting any potentially beneficial corrective input - deliberately rejecting reason. All his mind is doing is stirring the same crap over and over, I definitely believe it affects his mental processes.

What I think you mean is he is not quick witted in the sense that he does not do research, or indeed, think about what he's saying a lot. His mental processes are okay; but his subject matter isn't convincing in the least. Neither is his arguements.

Personally I think people both from atheistic and religious viewpoints tend to be quite full of themselves. This is from either side, its the way I've called it, and I've seen some pretty nasty stuff from both sides of the equation.
I know both christians who will try to convince you to join christianity, and atheists who would just as soon beat a religious person with an Evolution textbook than simply befriend them. People need to just get along.

very well said. I never liked the mental gymnastics required to see his logic in most of the responses venom gave to others. More then just a dodge, (as he initially acknowledged the questions rather then swept them to the side) they seemed to try to confuse the listener with convoluted thought processes that eventually led to an easier argument for him to address. Whether this reflects his own way of thinking or just a clever way to convince others though, I never could figure out.

This was the best tool for converting the ignorant masses back in the day. Some priests even got scientific about the best way to make new converts. They took notes on the speechs to make, how long you should to make it, and how best to introduce the salvation.

Actually, Nicos, just so you know, PCS/VFX/Shawn was not brainwashed into religion by his parents. He, according to his own admission, was "saved"(i.e brainwashed) into his cultish mindset by watching Kent Hovind seminars and claims to have been an "atheist" from a secular Jewish famiiy. How can a person become so uplugged from reality by watching a few video by a snake oil salesman is beyond me, but I am willing to take his word for it that he was not brainwashed by his parents.

I sent PCS a message ages ago pointing out different mistakes in his reasoning. These werent mistakes i noticed myself, id seen the thunderf00t videos & wanted to reinforce a message. Hed then sent me the KH videos of him talking about the "scientific accuracy" of the bible as a reply. I then sent a reply of KH mistakes.
So i doubt it was KH was the reason. Maybe PCS thought it would be a good way to dupe people. Or something was

Well said! I have to say that before I moved to the USA a few years ago, I had no idea that people still took the bible seriously lol. I couldn't believe that some people I spoke to in the USA thought that the bible was 100% true. It was a jaw dropping experience. I mean how dumb can one be? Modern science, archaeology, historical evidence and common sense. Does that stand for nothing? Well yes apparently so lol. 43% of people in the USA think that the universe is 6000 years old, I rest my case.

His reasoning seemed closer to a game of Twister where with each spin (video) it becomes harder to accommodate what has to now be said with what has already been said, without falling. The best example being that Shawns god is a loving mass murder, yet somehow he seemed convinced that this was okay and right. Poor Winston Smith (Nineteen Eighty Four) was tortured into thinking that that Big Brother was always right, Shawn seems to have done this alone, which is scary to me.

My right eyelid is partially paralyzed and therefore doesn't lubricate my eyeball properly, so the lid had to be partially sewn up so that my eye wouldn't dry out. As a result, my right eye doesn't photograph very well, so I cover it when I'm filming myself.
