My Aunt lives i Oklahoma, wich is right in the middle of tormado alley, and her house has been ripped down 3 times. its no joke. tornados are NOT fun.
Hey Reed.I live in a small town call St,Marys PA and this year we got a F-2 tornado, and a F-3 Tornado. That was a first,You can check out the video named St. Marys Tornado- 7/26/09. PLEASE write BACK! PLEASE!
This is a great video because it really shows storm chasing. You chase and try to see great weather and of course a tornado but most of your time is spent driving. I've stopped to look at stuff like the horses and fire in this video so many times. You go for the storm and even without the tornado it's always an exciting trip filled with new sights and sounds.
what makes you think that? Just curious if you've researched it at all, or if you are getting your information from people who only have opinions and not facts? Most university professors (in related fields) and scientists would disagree as they collect data that support global warming...
It isn't most scientists, it's only a handful that think global warming is real. Most meteorologists or other atmospheric scientists will tell you that the earth has a schedule and amidst this schedules there are periods of increased temperature, then after a few years it'll return to normal. Then after that, it'll appear slightly colder. The earth is a giant living thing and this is how it regulates itself. Also, if global warming is real, how the fuck did Florida get ice this year?
But none can deny that since the industrial revolution, human beings have never had such an impact as we do now. Global warning doesn't mean that the whole planet gets warm all at once and the same time, global warming actually cause the wind patterns to change, which cause them to bring different temperatures to places that don't normally experience it. It also causes the ice caps to melt, which lowers the temp. of the oceans, which will bring snow to places like Florida where that's unsual.
the earth does have its own schedule, and after most "warming" periods in the past an ice age will follow. Never before in the earth's natural warming stage, have we lost so much of the ice caps, the ices caps have always remained from the previous ice ages.
you should come up here to nebraska this summer for some nice violent storms even though you were here for the Kearney tornado(that was nothin compared to other tornados ive seen)
i've only driven through rain like that once, in north texas, with a tornado warning, luckily there was no tornado reported that day, it was bad though O.O
how do you drive in that rain... lol I've only had to drive In rain like that once and i couldn't see, I had 3 other people in the car looking for me out the sides....lol
I wish I was a storm chaser, I love Tornadoes, and I love traveling in rural places, Ive traveled from Texas to North Dakota 6 times and have enjoyed it every time.
Those horses were beautiful! Cool fire too. Sorry yesterday was a bust. The season has just started though and I have a feeling you guys will fair very well this season
Cameras do not work well in low light, no matter how good the camera is. A camera is not as good as the human eye. A camera requires more light to make a good picture than a human eye.
BTW, I am not being mean or anything, just stating facts. I know this as I work in the broadcasting industry and use cameras weekly.
Well, it was a bust this day. No tornadoes although there was a Tornado Watch issued. Good day to break out the video camera and get back into practice I suppose. Looked like a good day for a brush fire chase though
Hey look.. A live dillo on the side of the road! Wow.. How amazingly rare.
You guys should get a great shot later today as they say a huge front is blasting your way and my way.. Hard to believe it will be near 90 here tommarow.. I think the atmosphere north of me is going to go nuts.

HEy if you look at the global temp from 1998 we have been in a cooling trend on average. Just FYI.

Wow, didn't know armadilloes ran wild in the area, but it's close to Texas, so oh well...
I was going to ask whether they were sure that the fire was caused by lightning until I saw a flash, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Great video with some neat wildlife scenes.

This is all part of storm chasing. Sometimes you get the storms, and other times you don't.
I even chased yesterday, but it was a bust. But all was not lost. Earlier in the day I did chase a weak thunderstorm in Southest Kansas.
Thanks for posting the chase. It is amazing what other types of things you can run into out there storm chasing.
