FIRST, The zero we all know and love is a reploid who lost his true purpose because of memory loss. In my last comment, I explained his true purpose. Now, he was turned into a research material in an alternate ending of X6, there, his original body contained the virus, and had his program(Memory) into a copy body.
NOW, His original body contained the maverick virus, which didn't affect him because he was ALWAYS maverick. He just forgot about it. You can say that Zero is a Maverick with a sense of justice(that's after he lost to sigma thus leading to memory loss), which prevents him from doing the activities of a maverick. NOW the original body (now that it doesen't have the "Real Zero in it") returned to its original purpose with the help of Dr. Weil.
By the way, here's another speculation. Maybe the Zero Series was just a BIG Spin-off from the X-Series? Because Zero offered himself to become a research material when he got infected by the virus. But that's IF X Never found him in Megaman X6. He never became a research material for the virus when X found him after beating the Zero Nightmare. THUS, Going to Megaman X7 to meet Axl. I mean, if Zero was already a research material before X7, then how could he have met Axl?
i think it will be great if the original zero got his old form whit the armor and shit of course whit the same charecter desing as the zero series, it will be more logic since its the original body of zero
I really hated this. They missed a golden opportunity to have you fight the TRUE original form of Zero, the classic version from the X series. It was such a letdown when you ended up fighting a slightly-different color version of Megaman Zero.
@ZIM2KK1 From the wiki, I think it was a Copy Body made for Zero. The original Zero's program is inside the Copy Body, and the Original Body, which was taken, was turned into Omega. By the way, The one who created Zero was Dr. Wily of the Megaman Classic Series. His true purpose was to become a Maverick. And THAT'S Omega. He became a good reploid after Zero got beat by Sigma and lost his memories as a Maverick, thus also forgetting his "True" Purpose.

@1316jasper The best way to go about it is good use of the shadow dash foot chip. Even better, the Ultimate foot chip, which you can get in the next to last stage if you explore enough while in cyberspace (you're going to want to visit it after the mission though, for score reasons.) Beating Omega form 1 without taking damage is easy, it's a great help against the fireball from the second form, and you can just hit omega zero with charged buster shots and dash through him to his other side.

@super97049 I was trying to say that. It's important to reflect on the conundrum of what makes a person/robot. Is it the body or the mind, or something else entirely? I think the statement that MMZ was trying to make is that, for robots, it is the mind/control chip. Omega Zero clearly had the more powerful body (MMX Zero), but your character possessed the stronger will (MMX Zero.) In certain ways, they're both the original and not the original.

Zero admitted himself so that the virus would be extracted from his body, and he would have lived a normal life without concern about the virus being in his body anymore. @kingdomcome3914 have u played megaman x5? sigma keeps saying that he spread the virus and infected the space colony making it a virus colony in order to strengthen the sigma virus( the result turning it into the zero virus, which is the original version) so he could awaken zero from his "false self". sigma was trying to turn zero into his true form omega. zero eventually remembered who created him and why. so in mmx6 he tries to get a researcher to rewrite zero's dna data.

Megamanzero is the original zero just in a copy body because his consciousness was stored when he was sleeping in his original body. Omega controlls the original body and Zero lost his memory because of he was stored away for so long.
the thing is that weil was punished and omega was desactivated and sent out to space in zero 3, the forbidden ark, omega's prison ship- falled down to earth and zero was sent to investigate and the story continues with zero beating omega in the end and weil using zero's original body to hold the dark elf and finally zero beats himself and destroyes his original body- i always think that if zero had taken his body instead of destroying it, maybe he wouldn't have died in z4

I think X is an upgrade of the original "Rock" (megaman) that light was working on till his death and left him in a capsule for the future. Zero was a maverick and had a virus inside him that infected sigma making him become a maverick and almost destroyes earth. So i think thet after all the x saga, zero locks himself away cuz he found out he really was a maverick -just like grizzly slash told him in X5-and had a dangerous virus inside him. at some point of the future, the zero saga takes place

yeah in a logical sense, he was created to be a more improved, stronger and mature version of him. hes one of the first robots beside zero to have the ability to have free will as much as how much humans have free will unlike rock who was limited in one way. Zero was created to be a maverick. he was suppose to be used in the willy wars against rock but he was never used. He faced sigma 100 years later and the maverick virus contained in him was transferred to sigma.

Willy had nothing to do with sigma and the both have never met in person. Willy died years before sigma was created by Dr.Cain which was a few years before megaman X1(the year 2114 is when megaman X takes place)

Omega don't resemble Zero because is a different art from MMX.Maybe it's the truth,but that explanation is LAME as hell.I like to think that when Weil/Vile stole Zero's body and put it into the exterior armor of Omega,its form changed to adapt his body to better chips like the Ultimate Foot chip,and assimilate more power.That's a better explanation.
Here's the deal, sometime after the X series, Zero sealed himself away because of the Zero virus, and scientists extracted zero's mind from his body so they could examine it, thinking the body had antibodies or something. Sometime later, Weil stole Zero's body and implanted a new persona, Omega, into it. Saying that the Dark Red guy is the original Zero is both right and wrong. Omega has Zero's body, but not his soul. Basically, he's real on the outside, but a fake on the inside.
So wait, after MegamanX5, Zero like deactivated himself and slept all that time right? I havent playd the MMX series so the Zero storyline is hard to grasp comepletely.

So true, I actually started playing the series after reading the scenario ( At first it didn't interested me, I didn't liked the design of Zero, but now it's ok ) and was hoping for something like that to happens, I was deceived when I saw that it wasn't his body from X series.
Perhaps maybe CAPCOM came up with a clever idea by making ZERO look so battered and deteriorated when introduce as the protagonist in the MMZ series. Only thing left is remaining armor on him or his skeletal frame (which explains the design) and is revived by a cyber elf from ciel to restored his body, not his armor.
Just a minor theory.
As for Omega's claim, I say he was bluffing he didn't have the real body probably was playing with Zero's mind.
Omega really does have Zero's body. From what I remember reading, Zero allowed his body to be used to find a cure for the Maverick Virus. Ceil and Weil worked on the project, the Mother Elf was created, and it got rid of the Virus. I suppose Weil took Zero's shell/ body, gave it enhancements & a new AI, and called it "Omega". Zero's actual conscious was uploaded into another body so that he and X could fight against Omega.
But this is going off my memory, so I might have some parts wrong.

No.. During Zero's stasis Vile stole zero's body and replaced it with the old so says the Vile Incident in some Drama track... So thats why Omega has Zero's original body and Zero has a "Fake" that vile replaced XD
@Toukleth I dislike the new series of megaman after the very first X´s, Like, they are completly copies of the past, just with just with 1 or 2 new things. Also,that elf systme is quite bad, is like, you found a boost, yay, but you cant use it due you worry about your grade on the stage.

not really. They just remodled everything from the X series. They couldve kept everyone looking the same and omega and zero would have looked like they were in the X series

Has ANYONE found it strange that Omega Zero looks exactly like Zero? Right now Zero is a copy, which I guess would explain why he looks so different. The thing I like about MMZ is that the final bosses are always different and not the same like the classic or X series. First Copy X, then Elpizo then Omega and finally, Dr. Weil.

Yes but Omega is just the AI in Zero's original body but Zero's original body was the one in the X series the reason the Zero you control in the Z series has that body is because they switched his AI in a different body to experiment on the Zero Virus or something but the Original body should look like Zero off the X series

I thought Zero looks the way he does now becacause the Sigma virus had corrupted to much of his armor or something, and he had to go into hibernation to finally rid himself of the virus, so the scientists removed bits and pieces of his armor... because if you look at it and compare the models, all "New" zero is, is a "Naked" Version of the original zero... or am I just getting Metroid Fusion mixed into Megaman... FUUUUUUUUU

Megamanzero is the original zero just in a copy body because his consciousness was stored when he was sleeping in his original body. Omega controlls the original body and Zero lost his memory because of he was stored away for so long.

the thing is that weil was punished and omega was desactivated and sent out to space in zero 3, the forbidden ark, omega's prison ship- falled down to earth and zero was sent to investigate and the story continues with zero beating omega in the end and weil using zero's original body to hold the dark elf and finally zero beats himself and destroyes his original body- i always think that if zero had taken his body instead of destroying it, maybe he wouldn't have died in z4

omega's story is another
he first appears during the elf wars as a maverick created by weil to keep the dark elf inside. it is said that omega is actually zero's original body, of course, upgraded by weil. so x and zero fight him (zero uses a copy body thats when, i guess, zero got his slim body used in the zero saga) they beat omega, but X made the soul of the dark elf divide in 5 parts -4 of them used to create the four guardians- and the other one the dark elf

I think X is an upgrade of the original "Rock" (megaman) that light was working on till his death and left him in a capsule for the future. Zero was a maverick and had a virus inside him that infected sigma making him become a maverick and almost destroyes earth. So i think thet after all the x saga, zero locks himself away cuz he found out he really was a maverick -just like grizzly slash told him in X5-and had a dangerous virus inside him. at some point of the future, the zero saga takes place

but im sure of two things: zero was created by willy to be a maverick (virus inside him); and axl dies before or during the elf wars, i guess he gets possessed by sigma when lumine attacks him and leaves a trace of the virus in his energy crystal, i suppose x and zero killed him and since he was a friend of them, they agree on not talking about it anymore and thats why axl is not menttionnned in mmzero...

yeah in a logical sense, he was created to be a more improved, stronger and mature version of him. hes one of the first robots beside zero to have the ability to have free will as much as how much humans have free will unlike rock who was limited in one way. Zero was created to be a maverick. he was suppose to be used in the willy wars against rock but he was never used. He faced sigma 100 years later and the maverick virus contained in him was transferred to sigma.

@ThaMachine100 zero was never used cuz willy is known for not finishing his inventions in time in his last battle with rock, he runs away and somehow he continues living so he can build sigma's giant body 5 for mmx5 sigma meets him and talks to x and zero about him, but not revealiing who he really is inthe story drawings, you can see willy making zero and then he raises his arms and you can also see zero's fight with sigma and then you see iris in a stupid pose, you can also see him at mmx4 ova

Willy had nothing to do with sigma and the both have never met in person. Willy died years before sigma was created by Dr.Cain which was a few years before megaman X1(the year 2114 is when megaman X takes place)

@ThaMachine100 u are a noob. play mmx5 and u will see a scene when u fight sigma w/ zero and sigma will say that he met a "someone" who knows a lot about zero, that he has created a lot of robots, and that he speaks as though he was zero's father. sigma also says that this "someone" has created the giant sigma body that you fight and suggested that sigma spread the virus so that it could transform into zero virus to infect zero. wily created zero, so yeah the facts say wily's alive.

i guess u have to finish the X saga to make a conclusion cuz the megaman story is quite complicated it changes over the sagas heres what i think:
the original magaman saga shows a child-looking megaman created by dr. light and light is alive during the saga right? so when megaman X came out, it was because X means 10 in roman numeration. beacuse megaman was originally planned to only have 9 parts -I recently discovered there's megaman 10- then megaman X (10) came out for snes

Omega don't resemble Zero because is a different art from MMX.Maybe it's the truth,but that explanation is LAME as hell.I like to think that when Weil/Vile stole Zero's body and put it into the exterior armor of Omega,its form changed to adapt his body to better chips like the Ultimate Foot chip,and assimilate more power.That's a better explanation.

Here's the deal, sometime after the X series, Zero sealed himself away because of the Zero virus, and scientists extracted zero's mind from his body so they could examine it, thinking the body had antibodies or something. Sometime later, Weil stole Zero's body and implanted a new persona, Omega, into it. Saying that the Dark Red guy is the original Zero is both right and wrong. Omega has Zero's body, but not his soul. Basically, he's real on the outside, but a fake on the inside.

Perhaps maybe CAPCOM came up with a clever idea by making ZERO look so battered and deteriorated when introduce as the protagonist in the MMZ series. Only thing left is remaining armor on him or his skeletal frame (which explains the design) and is revived by a cyber elf from ciel to restored his body, not his armor.
Just a minor theory.
As for Omega's claim, I say he was bluffing he didn't have the real body probably was playing with Zero's mind.

Omega really does have Zero's body. From what I remember reading, Zero allowed his body to be used to find a cure for the Maverick Virus. Ceil and Weil worked on the project, the Mother Elf was created, and it got rid of the Virus. I suppose Weil took Zero's shell/ body, gave it enhancements & a new AI, and called it "Omega". Zero's actual conscious was uploaded into another body so that he and X could fight against Omega.
But this is going off my memory, so I might have some parts wrong.

No.. During Zero's stasis Vile stole zero's body and replaced it with the old so says the Vile Incident in some Drama track... So thats why Omega has Zero's original body and Zero has a "Fake" that vile replaced XD

@Toukleth I dislike the new series of megaman after the very first X´s, Like, they are completly copies of the past, just with just with 1 or 2 new things. Also,that elf systme is quite bad, is like, you found a boost, yay, but you cant use it due you worry about your grade on the stage.
They should find a new body for the games( as new game line story or something) what do you think? Personally, When i was playing Megaman Zero´s ones, i feel like i got the same powerups in every game.

I think the reson is that omega is mmegaman zerto style instead of original zero is because before the elf war zero and x's bodies were remodeld the way they look now but because of the virus zero went into hibernation. After that some on stole his orrigional body i guess

the new model was going to be used only for the copy,and omega was going to use the old model; but because of space and time problems in the production they had to stick with that model for both zeros(zeroes?)

Has ANYONE found it strange that Omega Zero looks exactly like Zero? Right now Zero is a copy, which I guess would explain why he looks so different. But if Omega is really using Zero's original body, he should look like the X series Zero. That would have been so cool if Omega looked like Zero from the X series.
The thing I like about MMZ is that the final bosses are always different and not the same like the classic or X series. First Copy X, then Elpizo then Omega and finally, Dr. Weil.

Well no one really knows why Zero (the star of the series) looks nothing like Zero from the X series (although it has to be Zero from the X series as you should be able to derive from the MMZ storyline)...

Yes but Omega is just the AI in Zero's original body but Zero's original body was the one in the X series the reason the Zero you control in the Z series has that body is because they switched his AI in a different body to experiment on the Zero Virus or something but the Original body should look like Zero off the X series

de acuerdo a los Tracks de la saga Zero, los guardianes en especial Fefnir y Leviathan seguian muy heridos, y fueron acusados de traidores, entre los 3 derrotan a la mayoria del ejercito de neo arcadia, para cuando llegan con Zero solo llegan a morir ya que sus cuerpos ya no soportaban mas, la explosion solo les dio el golpe de gracia
