  • Sell things that you know. If you know about computers, you can find deals on craigslist and sell them on ebay. Another hot item is old video games like NES or N64, you can get them in bulk on craigslist for 2-3 dollars and some of the games are worth $10-$35. You just need to know the value of item you are selling. Another site you can use is ebay pulse to find out what the hot selling item is.

    with those 500 spent it on more inventory

    point is you need to start off with somewhat hundreds if you always sell small stuff and dont understand the buisness procces and dont risk your money you will never get no where

  • @MvpNyc yeah, I'm 15 and I used to want to be a director, but now I want to be an entreprenuer and produce movies when I get to a certain point. I started out with 150 bucks and made 500 after less than a month selling on Ebay, but the only problem i've been having is Christmas just passed, and now I'm broke :( so I can't afford another inventory right now. Don't know what I'm going to do if this happens consistantly

  • Thank you cards are just an extra expense - no one is going to buy from you just because of a thank you card. They will buy if they like the service {fast} the prices and merchandise. I want to gag when people start using fancy thank you cards.

  • @cubomania3 Thank You cards are part of high customer service. eBay isn't an over the counter transaction in a high street store so the seller can't say thank you when giving you the items you've bought. So instead they thank you with a card or note. The vast majority of people would appreciate something like that. Service, prices and merchandise obviously all has to be top notch but mannors goes a long way. I'd rather by off someone with mannors than someone without them.
