  • More exciting than some movies i watch.

  • Sorry to put a downer on all the great comments but this method of fishing is by far the easiest way of catching yourself a big un.... It is a nice bit of fishing but anyone with a rod can do it and catch, that is why the method is banned on many day tickets because its so easy its like hook a duck. All that said i only surface fish myself now and use alarms if im doing a night only... surface fishing is easy and addictive... and by far the biggest buzz youll get leading up to catching a fatty

  • This video makes me realise how bloody rubbish and boring my fishing has become, sitting for days on end inside my bivvy fishing bottom baits watching my alarms. This video makes me want to change my style of carping thats for sure.

  • mint video mate well done

  • Awesome! Where you proper hiding in bushes or standing still for ages? That's an amazingly quick take, quality angling! Wicked!

  • Great video check out my channel for my first video of carp fishing in leicester thanks

  • top video that pal, well done and good angling. that sort of angling comes with experience and people on here can learn from that

  • Ive got Julian on facebook!

  • You are quality..... I just cast as close to any fish on the surface without waiting and getting them confident....... Now i will be patient :)

  • that was epic is there any good carp fisheries reasonably close to liverpool?

  • good video m8, good camera usage aswell :)

  • top fishing

  • Great fishing mate

  • excellent - patience invariably pays off! what pound line were you using to bring the fish through those lilies?

  • Top vid :)

  • Wooo Bud that Quality, Makes My Fishin Looks Rubbish Ha!

  • great vid , i stalk the same way on my local pond but for much smaller 10 to 15lb fish, dont know how you holded out to select the bigger fish i would not have been able to ressit the first fish to come along

  • Great demonstration of stalking your chosen fish. Good work with the camera - pity we didn't get to see much of the fight but great little vid - inspired to give it a go.

  • nice 1 m8

  • brilliant fishing

  • Nice demonstration of your technique Simon and one I use myself after reading about it in yours and Rob's book. I love catching carp this way! May I give you a little bait tip for this method: Bakers Meaty Meals - available from most supermarkets. Especially now you can get them in 'small dog' size. Nice and soft and hook well. Been using these a couple of years now. Caught loads of fish on them.

  • brilliant mate

and not one bloody tackle advert in the whole thing

just watched that mug ali hamidi's videos, he aint no fisherman hes a tele'saleman lol

  • plz do more this was EPIC well done

  • Great fishing

  • for carp fishing in my local pond, would it be useful using my carprod, no float with a few shots spreaded out around the hook? about 4 inch from the hook and then spaces about 2 inch? :) can someone please inbox me about it :D

  • well done mate, great method and great fish!

  • wow that was good

  • i do exactly the same on my local river during the hot summer months where all the fish feed in marginal lillies.some cracking carp in there and as far as i know im the only one who fishes for them.Paradise!

Great film, im now inspired to make my own.roll on june 16th!

  • that was awsome fishing! great video!

  • The most exciting fishing you can do, and to pick your fish well thats something else. I dont know how you managed to hold the camera still I know i'd of been shaking with the excitment!! Well done good video five stars fella. Andy

  • mice one matee :D

  • that is some fat mofo :D

  • ah thats the best feeling ever. watching a carp take your bait then bending your rod :D nice work

  • that was awsome

  • thats a nice fish m8 well done.

  • If you say tht 'dragging fish through lillies' and through their comfort zone then your saying all fishing is cruel :S... dont really get where your coming from mate

  • I'm talking about snag fishing. Snags (overhanging/submerged trees, thick weed beds, lillies etc) are a comfort zone and a place for the fish to hold up and feel safe. Not only this, but if you do fish these areas and hook into fish you have to hit and hold. This can result in a badly damaged mouth. There is also the aspect of the fish becoming snagged and the line breaking, which could result in a tethered and dead fish. Fish safety is the number one priority! That is where i am coming from!

  • I firmly believe that carp damage their mouths far more by shaking hooks out of there mouths against 2oz leads ect than being stalked in lilies in my experience.

I have caught many carp just like this (see all my Manicure films) and i find you get a much firmer safer hook hold which does far less damage on average.

Simon has demonstrated an excellent way of catching carp in a professional competent way what more could you ask for? he is giving you top tips on a plate.

  • haha funniest geeza, no idea what your talking about

  • Awesome video, great angling and nice fish! Well done.

  • Cracking fish mate.

I have respect for simon crow and his ingenuity, but i can't help but feel that it is a bit harsh on the fish, angling for it in its comfort zone and then dragging it through the lillies. I also think that if any kids or 'noddies' see this, they are gonna try it themselves, and without having your experience and know how, could end in disaster!

  • im well gutted that lake has gone to a syndicate :(. me n my mate fished it a couple of times wen it was day ticket. my mate had a nice 26lb mirror on the point peg in the lilly pads cut threw to lake 1.

  • Good video, liked how you held back for the bigger fish. The Fish was a great colour also. Tight lines and keep up the good work. Enjoyed watching.
