Thanks so much for this post, this has been a long time favorite poem of mine. I cut it out of a newpaper about 20 yrs ago when I got divorced. I posted on my fridge and read everyday it helped me get through a painful time of my life. I find myself needing it again and thought I would try my luck here. The words are powerful and ring so true. With every goodbye you learn.....
Just to set the record straight, the poem is an English translation of a longer poem by Jorge Luis Borge titled "Aprendiendo".
