  • isnt it kinda ironic that people are taking a movie with the whole "dont judge a book by its cover" type message and judging it by its first theatrical trailer?

    *facepalm*

  • FINALLY no 3D but GOOD humor and 2D animation like disney is FAMOUS for.

  • Also, way to wedge not one, but TWO fart jokes into the trailer, Disney.

    -RM

  • Thank you.

Louis looks like he might be a charming, sweet character...Ray has the potential to completely wreck this movie.

  • I dunno. I get the feeling that Ray and Louise might me the new Timon and Pumbaa or the new Kuzco and Pachaa.

  • whatever! the movie isn't out yet and most people with a normal method of thinking are going to point that out. your comments have no relevancy and have no substance behind them i personally think you are just being negative. You say the colors look hideous but the animators have been praised on how they have improved since the last animated movies. so "physically" the acting is terrible? kinda funny since none of the actors are "physically" in the movie. nice way to pull stuff outa ur ass

  • Physically in the sense that the characters are being physical perhaps? I hate these types of arguments, where one's point is so vague they can only start criticizing syntax so they have something concrete to argue with.

What I'm saying is, for a studio who abandoned my favorite medium at the drop of a hat, its going to take more than this to make me love them again. And, if you think I'm the only one disappointed in this film, then I suggest you take a glance around the internet.

    Thanks.

  • No your argument is what's vague. In order to crtique a movie you need to actually watch the movie. you make your comments based on what? I criticized "physical" you sound like your looking for a reason to be negative towards the movie. I don't even think you knew what the hell you were talking about. You have nothing to base that on, you have a negative outlook on the production without even seeing it and the whole condescending you are trying to pull not strengthening your argument in anyway

  • and for you too pull in other people's dislike of the movie before they have watched as well, they seem just as juvenile if not worse. arguments stating its going to be bad because the characters are black, or because oprah , or its animated, or kissing frogs. It sounds like ignorance to me. now you say because they stopped using 2d went to 3d and are now doing 2d again could possibly deter you fom liking the movie? wow, i dont even know why im wasting my time.

  • and o... m..g! a fart joke?? are you SERIOUSLY crying over a fart joke? what are you 5? ok if your looking for some blues clues dora the explorer type stuff you need to check out nick jr, cause fart jokes make kids laugh. like none of the other disney movies have fart jokes... you seriously need to find something else to do....

  • I wouldn't say "crying". I'd say more like hanging my head in shame. And what, I need to find something else to do but make comments on videos? Oh no, I guess the whole internet should stop since discussion is a meaningless pass time for all.

  • wow you got all that from only a couple of trailers? talk about judging a book by its cover.

  • Yup! :D

  • I don't think we've seen enough to start judging it like that. We know little to nothing about most of the characters that we have seen or their reason for being there. For example...We have seen that frog kissing scene in EVERY trailer...

  • I only see one fart joke. Besides this looks good especially since they were able to slip in some more adult jokes (look at some of the clips released in the top secret tour) I'm sure this will still be great.

  • awesome"!!!! i can´t wait for this movie!

  • I just hope they don't screw it up, otherwise they'll undeservedly doom traditional cel animation for another decade... but I really hope this turns out good. What a wonderful art form.

  • In terms of the overall quality (of the movie) I don't think they'll screw this one up, as i heard it's gotten very positive reactions from the test screening audiences, and during which time the movie wasn't even finished. I think the key is whether or not people will re-embrace 2D/cel animation after so many years of over-abundant 3D/CGI stuff. Personally I just hope people will go to see the movie despite it being hand-drawn animation, which is so much more dazzling and enchanting IMHO.

  • You're probably right about those test screenings, since Disney will be showing it in a limited release in New York City and Los Angeles. They must feel pretty confident about this film.

  • Well I'll admit it's good to see 2d animation is back but I just hope other companies don't start copying Disney styled animated films like they did before cg came along cause I'd rather see the cg non Disney films over most of the non Disney 2d films. But really it's good for Disney to be doing this again.

  • wow - been a long while since the last cel animated film off Disney to be shown in Cinemas :o

  • Comment removed

  • It looks lovely. I've missed 2D animation.

  • That is quite a twist to the story.

  • D: IT LOOKS SO GOOD.

  • Finally a full theatrical trailer!

  • I am SO looking forward to this!!!
