  • great lesson!

  • quelle pedale utilise stevie mercie

  • Can't thank you enough for all your work and posting the vids to help us! this stuff is priceless.

  • I know exactly what your talking about, when heard stevie play that I just thought stevie doesnt play like that WTF!

  • I have been listend to el mocambo version the other day and I was stuned by one riff! I tried to learn it but did`nt go to far, then decided to search for tabs and that lead me to this lesson. I just can`t believe that I was amazed by the same riff as you! It`s such a perfect timing for that lick, srv is great!!

  • what do you think of the Fender Supersonic amp? thanks

  • Ok Ok Ok... you kick my ass... I admit it. Now can you do the opening riff from Texas Flood?

  • love your videos man andyour playing. i even bought the nos blues junior cuz ur shootout video. it has a terrible crackle though needs some repair :( bummer

  • thanks, i needed that, peace

  • Dude, you're makin my head hurt...

You make it look way easier than it is... congrats...

I'll take baby steps... and maybe I'll have this whole blues thing figured out before I die...

  • What strings do you use? What heavy?

    thanx

  • @Piranha900 he prolly uses 13's like stevie

  • good lesson thanks man i really learned something new! btw whats that on the floor? looks like a donut :)

  • texas flood el mocambo is the best version of texas flood. If you have not heard it check it out right now

  • Dude yer awesome!!

  • The frustration is the fun part!

  • you rock mate, g8 stuff ill be back ,

  • When you mentioned you never heard him play this lick before or since I'm reminded of what Jimmy Ray Vaughan said:"Stevie never played a song the same way once, never mind twice"

  • Ain't that the truth...

  • @leftystrat62 Not to nitpick but it's Jimmy Lee...

  • I had never really payed that close attention to those riffs as I always do my own interpretation of that stuff but your lesson was really cool,it's nice to see the actual walkdown true to the original, also you play a helluva blues style but I think it might be more effective if you could back off a little on the O.D. Really nice stuff though,I appreciate it!!!!

  • You and diggity 6470 smoke on the SRV stuff...Wow!...Man between the 2 of you, you have filled in a great many pieces of the SRV puzzle....Totally Awesome!....I commend you.

  • I really like your style and the fact that you appreciate just how frustrating trying to learn this stuff on your own can really be. Many many thanks and my hat's off to you dude! Great stuff.

  • I was looking for something like this 5-4-1 turnaround and didn't think I would get my favorite one... you rock bro!

  • hehe those riffs shows why stevie was the greatest of all time, great lesson! do you know how to play the riff he does at 7:09 to 7:22 aprox?

  • That riff is Great! I'm going to need to study up on that one. I learned about half of it a while back and never finished it. Stay tuned!

  • Your lessons are awesome! Keep'm coming! Once I've nailed all these down I'd like a little instruction on playin' it behind my back:-)

  • All I got to say is start hittin those weights! ( or get a swamp ash guitar which only weights a couple of pounds )

  • there is a AWESOME lick on the SRV version of Voodoo Chile , its AWESOME but i just cant get it...

    its from 2:10 to 2:15

if you do that one with explanation YOU ARE MY HERO

  • I was just thinking about doing a lesson on that riff the other day... That's a great one because it demonstrates doing some of the same riffs I've already taught, but using open strings at fret 0. I'll do that one after the Texas flood one from 1957fenderstrat.

  • lol i could do that for you

  • I've been looking for lessons just like these for about a year. Thank you for making these, they are the best out there by far.

  • very cool. theres another fast lick he does in el mocambo that hes only played one time. its about from 1:33 to 1:41 somewhere in there. Maybe you could do that one. thanks keep em comin!

  • I know exactly which riff you're talking about! Stay tuned...

  • aaaallright!

  • I reviewed that riff this weekend and realized that I had always been playing part of it wrong, so you'll get an even better lesson than I planned. Should get that done sometime this week.

  • thanks man. very cool of you

  • man its kinda impossible to play it like stevie did!

  • Nice
