I don't have a problem with the fact that he's gay at all. I just think it's weird for him to have a sexuality in general. I've never thought of him having any kind of romantic or sexual relationship with anyone of either sex. It's just odd.

Guys, read the book and you'll see, Dumbledore's sexual preferences have no bearing on the plot. They aren't necessary to explain his relationship with Grindelwald.

While I admittedly thought McGonagall and Dumbledore had a thing, when you really think about it, she was born in 1920, and he was born in 1881. He was like 40 when she was a student at Hogwarts. He probably sees her as a student (or former) like all the others who went to Hogwarts when he was a professor. The only woman who would fit would be Bathilda Bagshot, and she was even older than Dumbledore.
dumbledore seems like he would be asexual. he reminds me of sheldon from the big bang theory before he started seeing amy farah fowler. not so much he's personality but the fact that he seems like he would find something better or more interesting to do than have a boyfriend or girlfriend.

I don't have a problem with the fact that he's gay at all. I just think it's weird for him to have a sexuality in general. I've never thought of him having any kind of romantic or sexual relationship with anyone of either sex. It's just odd.

I don't think it really bothered me much. I just saw him as a beloved, eccentric, quirky old wizard from a book series in my childhood. When i was younger, I never really thought about other peoples' relationships, or even my own. it just didn't mean much to me. I just thought Dumbledore was a nice old man, and that;s how it will stay.

Guys, read the book and you'll see, Dumbledore's sexual preferences have no bearing on the plot. They aren't necessary to explain his relationship with Grindelwald.

Am I the only one who wasn't surprised at Dumbledore being gay? I just thought it made perfect sense, in a way. At least it gave deeper meaning to his back history. Anyways, I really don't think it matters what he is. He's still a great character.

While I admittedly thought McGonagall and Dumbledore had a thing, when you really think about it, she was born in 1920, and he was born in 1881. He was like 40 when she was a student at Hogwarts. He probably sees her as a student (or former) like all the others who went to Hogwarts when he was a professor. The only woman who would fit would be Bathilda Bagshot, and she was even older than Dumbledore.

HP UPDATE: There are rumors going around that J.K. Rowling is making another book for the series (and not one like The Tales of Beadle the Bard) but an actual series book. i don't know how true this is but thumbs up if you would like to read another book in the series and never see HP go away.
