Why do people hate on Carrick so much? Midfielders get such little credit for their ability... It's like they think if a midfielder doesn't score 15 goals a season their shit. He is a holding/defensive midfielder, with a very keen eye and accurate pass and lob to go with. Amount of goals i've seen him setup at Utd and people just forget about the assist and only remember the little work the striker had to do to tap it in cause it was such a brilliant ball.
