They have gotten all too eager to use Tazers because they are "non-lethal". Non lethal does not mean you can use it willy nilly! Non responsiveness and someone trying to leave is not a reason to taze! Tazers are for people on drugs

That is their intended purpose. Now they are aimed at people who are only exercising their rights to remain silent or their freedom to leave when an officer has nothing to hold them for. There is nothing in this world more damaging than a bad cop.

Unless she had a knife to the childs throat there was no justification for such aggressive action. With the tazer and physically.
He could have simply walked in front of the other door. She was carrying 30 lbs (approx) of child. She wasnt going to run.

Their situation was: A woman is trying to give us her baby. Questions need to be asked. She tries to leave. Out of the welfare for the child, they need to make sure the she's stable. She resists the officer's detaining, so they grab the child from her and tase her to avoid a fist-fight with her. And it was only 1 cop. The other one had the kid.
What split-second decision would you have made? No time to analyze the situation.

Let's see if I understand this right. The woman WANTS to give her child to the police. The police REFUSE to take it. Then when she tries to leave the police TAKE the child and try to detain her. First of all, the cop had no reason to detain her in the first place. She did not do anything wrong. It was her RIGHT to resist an undeserved arrest. Secondly, even if she HAD done something wrong and was wrongly resisting arrest, he would STILL be wrong for what he did because he tasered her AFTER he had gotten her on the ground and uder control!!! I am tired of police acting like bullies. This woman obviously had some problems, but there was no reason to Taser her. I am tired of this police state we live in where police think they are god's. I think citizens should be able to elect police officers to the job, instead of allowing gun and Taser crazed wackos on the force. I have friends that are cops, but I have also been mistreated by cops. I am white, and my abuses have been minimal, but blacks have good reason to fear these nazi's.
