@TheBallernation You cannot play umd games on the PSP GO ... although, you can sell your UMD collection and use the money towards PSN downloads. Also, keep in mind that at 6.35 firmware, this PSP GO can be hacked easily by save exploit via a demo.
By the way ... Sony is banning any piracy through the PS3 (because of Geohot) and they'll either ban your account and/or the whole console (I'm not sure if signing out is gonna work).

UMD's deduct from the portability, carrying them and the slow load times, makes it harder for it to be a Playstation PORTABLE. The Go is designed to take it to a new level of on the go portability. after all, MP3 players replaced Disc-mans did they not? Digital is where it's headed. and downloading is easy, theres always good deals on PSN.
what the screen on the psp 3000 is compact its small the go is just smaller and well i like having a collection of games on my shelf its cool and on the 3000 you can download games iv downloaded 4 of them on my 8 gig memmory stick and i think the psp 3000 feels more expensive :) but if you like smaller then its for you but i dont realy have trouble with size though at least its not as big as those old cellphones :P

1. Didn't mention the bluetooth capability which is saving me a lot of money with skype, my contacts are much more easy to reach. Even without a bluetooth mic the built in mic that the go has is very clear and has good sound quality.
2. If you don't like the positioning of the joystick, or the joystick at all, just use your ps3 controller, you can sync it up with the psp go. Yet i don't let positioning or "awkward buttons"

PSP 3000 does more than this (except bluetooth) and is more comfortable, has removable battery (so you can carry a spare or replace an old one that can't hold much charge anymore) and you are upset?

They both can download the EXACT same games and play them equally. PSP Go won't do UMD (disc) games, though.
its only 40$ for gran turismo and only 1 gb, so the cost of the game is the same and you can take 10 to 20 fairly sized games with you without the need for all those umds. and you can tether one of these with your phone so that you have internet everywhere instead of just hotspots. and its much smaller. its screen has much more vivid colors than the psps of the past too.
a 16GB Memory Stick Pro Duo goes for $65-$70 US dollars at Adorama, BHPhotoVideo, etc.

With it you can access the Playstation Store & browse it on any Windows XP (or later) machine. You can view the sizes of the games.
Media Go allows ANY PSP to download off the Playstation Store. All PSPs download the exact same games. You will need a USB cable and memory stick that's big enough (if using a PSP).
A PSP plus 16GB memory stick is STILL cheaper than the PSP Go, too ($170 + $65-$70)

You can buy a PSP ($170) and 16GB Memory Stick Pro Duo ($65-$70) at BHPhotoVideo, Amazon and Adorama, etc. Both together still cost less than the PSP Go.
PSP Go comes with USB cable. A simple USB cable for PSP (less than $5) allows PSP downloads from your Windows machine using Sony's "Media Go" software.
So you can fit your "movies and more" on a PSP too - for LESS COST. Plus you have the choice of buying 8GB if you want too. For even LESS cost than the PSP Go.

You are right except the bit about PSP Go not having USB. It does, but it has but they changed the connector to their own proprietary design, so it can use only their supplied cable, not the standard USB to Mini-USB cable.

I just hate the smaller screen, kids can get blind like that which is bad. And having to download games is another bad thing. What if the files gets corrupted, you will have to pay again to download it. What if you used up the 16gb harddrive?

AWFULL Review!!! Only mentioned the cons and not the pros.
1. Didn't mention the bluetooth capability which is saving me a lot of money with skype, my contacts are much more easy to reach. Even without a bluetooth mic the built in mic that the go has is very clear and has good sound quality.
2. If you don't like the positioning of the joystick, or the joystick at all, just use your ps3 controller, you can sync it up with the psp go. Yet i don't let positioning or "awkward buttons"

3. The psp go allows you to pause ANYTIME during a game, save that exact spot you left to to resume gameplay later. So you can stop playing a game or sense me anytime, and when you get home. YOu can start playing again. Resuming gameplay. It's especially good if your no where near a save point.

PSP 3000 does more than this (except bluetooth) and is more comfortable, has removable battery (so you can carry a spare or replace an old one that can't hold much charge anymore) and you are upset?

They both can download the EXACT same games and play them equally. PSP Go won't do UMD (disc) games, though.

There not replacing the old PSPs. This PSPgo is targeted to a different audience, those who are into digital distribution.
Games are actually cheaper. Digital vs UMD will save you between $5-$10 on some games.
New memory sticks are expensive? They never came out with new ones.

its only 40$ for gran turismo and only 1 gb, so the cost of the game is the same and you can take 10 to 20 fairly sized games with you without the need for all those umds. and you can tether one of these with your phone so that you have internet everywhere instead of just hotspots. and its much smaller. its screen has much more vivid colors than the psps of the past too.
