I think it should be mandatory that everyone get this procedure no matter what...in the thigh without pain killer, while in High School, by their classmate before lunch and right after gym class....during a final exam in English Literature or Geometry....just a suggestion to help stop ADD.
It's not too bad-- I always get Oral sedation (fentanyl and ativan) and it reallly depends on who does it. My oncologist does it excellently like magic so the pain is minimal-- but I've had some done that hurt like a BIOTCH because they weren't as experienced.
agreed :)) Or if you get someone doing it that isn't very experienced- or if they don't numb it up all the way to the bone-- lol. I haven't had it done in my spine, but I have also had them done in my sternum as well as both of my hips~~ Wishing you the best of luck!!
OMG, you are so brave for not only having Andrew film that, but for wanting to watch it! You are my hero girlie. I hope and pray that this all goes away soon.
oh god maria. i wish i could take all of that pain and stress from you and make it all go away. watching this made me feel so helpless. i don't want you to have to go through all of this again.
i'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. *hugs*
I know! I LOVE aqueous transmission :) It's been one of my favs for a LONG time :)) *hugs* You are too sweet Nikki~ Thank you for being so supportive and caring-- It really means so much to me!
Maria you are a very brave woman. That looks like the most pain i have ever seen. I was chrenging in pain just watching. Hope you get well soon. Love Terri
Truly it's not that bad-- the numbing with lidocaine and the aspiration itself are the painful parts, but that pain is temporary and goes away quickly. Now it is just really sore-- :)) It fascinates me to watch it though!
good job,I had one done june of 08. they give a new meaning to pain!

you can be- but I generally choose not to be. However, I will take a painkiller or an Ativan to help stay relaxed~
