I remember an awesome, one-time-only moment playing w/Akuma in the PS1 port of SFA3. While doing Time Attack I believe, I KO'd my opponent with a fierce HP, and while the "K.O. letters were on screen, I unknowingly juggled my opponent in the air with two punches and finished it off (in mid-air) with that flip powerbomb thing he does.

Compared against his "Shin" theme, I consider this one as a minor morsel before the main course. He does put up a good fight, but when he becomes Shin Gouki / Shin Akuma, that's when the "groan" hits home.

The art style of alpha 3 was always my favorite among all the street fighters. I also feelt this was the mortal kombat trilogy of the sf series. Lots of characters and lots of customization. Highly technical.

He canonically holds back his power when fighting, seeking opponents who he deems worthy to unleash his full potential, and only then has a duel to the death, which he considers honorable. i think its easier on keyboard cuz your thumb doesnt move awkwardly along a circular d-pad. because after i do the first half circle, you have to go back to forward and i have to move past the middle of the d-pad to do that, and thats where i fuck up, if anything doing it on a keyboard is the easiest since you just press forward down back then you can press forward again, you dont have to "roll" your finger past the middle. haha i will actually try it rite now

You have to intuitively know where forward and backward are on the d pad (joystick or analogue stick). Try pressing forward and backward a few hundred times in practice mode. If you don't have this down precisely, your character might crouch or jump when you try to do the second half circle and that's a nono. You think this is hard? Ha. Try doing the blue shit Last Blade 2...
