@lister740 cruelty would be to scold it alive and beat the shit out of it. These guys worked quick and efficient, and I think its one of the most "gentle" ways to have killed the pigs.

The pigs never even feel the knife cutting their throat because the adrenaline makes them faint the instant they get cut. They were just scared when hun upside down, nothing more, nothing less.

What all these veggies need to do is, even if you can't accept the fact we are omnivores, encourage people to buy better quality meat, from more humanely treated animals, because then you actually make a difference. Guilt tripping and manipulating people with propaganda doesn't work. Properly educating people about farming practices/quality of meat, does. The organic/ethical market grows bigger, the factory farming market gets smaller as more people buy better meat.
