What a lovely dance performance by Jonaba Shamima Ara Nipa. The colour of her shari has partly blended with the colour of the pond behind her. What a nice video. But it would be nicer if it was choreographed though. I have never seen any dance costume so sedately beautiful as on this Bangladeshi dancer.

As for the literature...hmm..Rabindranath Tagore. I wish I could sing for this dancer one of my own songs though if I can get a chance.

Rabindranath Tagore's unforgettable songs coupled with flawless Kathak dancer Shamim Ara Nipa. A powerful combination indeed. Rabindranathji's song takes me back to Bangladesh. I remember during Pohela Boishakh I always used to visit Romna Botomul to hear these songs.
