@M175momoneyy A 373 gear would be more street/strip , with great acceleration on the street, but still yet enough of a gear to get a good time at the track. A 355 is more of a street gear, It still enough gear to pull good , but better for street use. Which do u plan on doing? Driving the streets all times, or going to the track some too?

smaller diameter piping makes the exhaust sound louder right because the exhaust is trying harder to fight its way out making more pressure. match that with a nice low back pressure muffler and it should scream. correct me if im wrong. i just like real loud stangs that actually sound like stangs with the deep and throaty sound. yours is the best example imo.

I have a 306 that I built with h-beam rods and DSS pistons, you are right, I have always built 351 based stroker motors, but those days are over I love my 306, it revs faster and dosen't drink oil like a stroker, get the word out that strokers for a street engine is not always the best route to take.

The cam profile is pretty extreme, plus the heads are heavily ported.....the motor moves a lot of air. I'll tell you what though, that BBK offroad X-pipe really gives it that aggressive pissed off sound.

some cowl hoods are just for clearance like if you have an upgraded intake such as a trick flow intake or performace products intake which is much larger than a stock intake for the 5.0. Some dont have the scoop to force down air into the engine if it has a carb.

lol you need to rethink about what a cowl hood's purpose really is. it has nothing to do with heat. what the MCarll guy was trying to say was that a functioning cowl hood, on paper, shoves more ait down the throat of a carbuerter. since fuel injected cars usually get their air somewhere else besides directly on top of the intake, more air over that area does nothing... unless it was a TBI car with the air box assembly off...
